  1. Really should just go in the corrections forum, not a specific subforum for it. And it doesn't mention the method because it is new and it takes time to verify and update guides (fight caves guide was last updated 10th sept last year). IIRC some crew have the various monster hunting guides on the to do list to account for the myriad of new useful weapons and curses.
  2. In the tip.it treasure trail guide: Kharidian Desert (northern end, near the entrance to the Desert Eagle cave) South wall of Varrock (north-east from the Dark Wizards) The lumbridge one is new though.
  3. report every 4 levels then. By that point the cost is negligible
  4. Grimy gave you the answer you wanted about as concisely as you can get: Repot everytime you drop 1 level (aka 1 minute) if you earn 5m gp per hour 1.5mil gp/hour for repot every 2 minutes 750k gp/hour for repot every 3 minutes Anything below that not worth mentioning. To rephrase grimy since you don't seem to think this is an answer: Look at how much gp/hr you earn. If you earn 5mil+ repotting every 1 level drop is best. If you earn 1.5mil+ repot every 2 levels is best. If you earn 750k+ repot every 3 levels is best. If you earn <750k report every 4 levels is best. If you do not care about cost at all and can't see how it has a bearing on the matter: Repot every single time you drop 1 level as this maximises your dps and thus your efficiency at monster hunting specifically, though not your overall efficiency if you earn <5mil gp an hour
  5. Don't really want to get owned by blue dragon, hence why I want to fight the babies lol. Ty For everyone's help though How do you intend to fight babys without dealing with the normal ones considering they are in the same room and wander ranges etc mean there isn't really an entirely safe spot from the blue dragons. No, the entire eastern half of the dragon area that is near the gate is just baby blue dragons. I remember training solely on the baby blue dragons a long long time ago. There is a small pocket near the gate where the adults don't go often but the babys do. But the adults can certainly wander right up to that gate, I've seen em do it and from what I recall the baby spawn points are further across within the blue dragon aggression ranges even if they haven't wandered too far east. Like I said there isn't really an ENTIRELY safe spot from the adults.
  6. There seems to be a misconception here: The 5mil per hour income is NOT made by killing the monsters, except perhaps a few boss hunting exceptions that are used as money makers. This kinda of figure of to do x you need income of y per hour is based on time saved goes to money making. For example ectofunctus vs gilded altar. Altar gives 3.5* xp to ectos 4* So in cost per xp altar gives x/3.5 and ecto x/4. Ecto is the clear winner. BUT you can offer bones about twice as fast (as a made up minimum to simplify the numbers) on altar. So when you factor in time altar gives 7* xp in the same time as ecto gives 4* but at double the cost. Lets say 1 bone costs y. So in altar you spent 2y and ecto you spent 1y. Say you could do 1k bones an hour at ecto. Ecto in 1 hour you spent 1000y Altar you'd spend 1000y in 30minutes or 2000y in 1 hour. If we say 1000y = z So using ecto you spend 2z in two hours. Thats it, end of method. Altar you spend 2z in an hour, then have that second hour free. If you can make 2z or more gp via merching or any other means in 1 hour altar works out better. Lets say you make 3z an hour money making. Ecto, 2 hours, 1k bones. You spend 2z, you make 0z. You're at -2z Altar, 2 hours, 1 k bones. You spend 2z, you make 3z. You're at 1z. Same principle applies here. Repotting sooner = faster dps = faster kills = time saved. Invest that time into money making and if you can make enough money per hour it works out more efficient overall.
  7. I voted that I didn't care and guess what: I still don't. From my experience my feeling at the time that A LOT of the yes voters were doing so blindly and not considering the fully picture seems valid. From all the debate etc. it seemed the no voters (aside from those who jsut voted no as they hate pking) had well thought through ALL the implications and reasoned their vote. I even know some pkers who voted no as they could see the negative elements. Where as a lot of yes voters seemed utterly blinded (as jagex wanted no doubt) by the "proper" pking and free trade and didn't pay a moments thought to all the pking styles they ranted endlessly about, or the fact half of them whined their asses off about "old school" pking and wanted it changed or the fact that it would obviously have major implications in terms of spam bots, general cheaters/scammers and bots. Not saying all of them were, but a good chunk definitely hadn't fully thought it through and utterly ignored the idea that this change could have any negative impact.

  9. You have to do easy mode first time, second time it'll offer the choice.
  10. afk at ur level is monkfish. Barb is best rate afaik
  11. Have fun trying to afk cave fish with the constantly moving spots and intermittent attacks from the living rock creatures. Even on the main lrc world you don't get huge amount of people doing cavefish (or least you didnt last few times i went) which means you don't get the same defence as rocktailers do. Plus if you use the lrc world the spots move really quickly due to numbers, if you don't 9/10 you can't safespot the fishing. LRC ain't no afk fishing compared to other methods
  12. Plus jagex are on a finishing storylines off spree. Granted it's taking time cause some need MASSIVE quests in terms of dev time to finale them; but they are working on it proactively. We've not had any teasers in a good year or two, especially not one tied to a chaos elemental hint, that haven't filled out reasonably quickly.
  13. Artistic outlets do find a way during war-like situations and obv the last survivor idea works. I mean look at all the famous war poetry that was written in front line trenches by soldiers on active duty; I'm sure a besieged city might find time to scrawl a basic mural on the wall.
  14. I'm wondering if you did actually clear the rs cache folder in case of corruption? After all I did advise that plus updating direct x and graphics drivers and you said you tried it all yet a few posts later you posted info that clearly showed you're graphics drivers were out of date and thus you hadn't actually tried the advice. Also it's not gonna be a problem jagex's end; it's too obscure. Worst case it's gonna be your system having minor incompatibles and thus unable to run that graphics mode correctly.
  15. Pretty sure we're going to find out that Kethsi was once a place where Dragonkin made their base at one point, and that the ruined castle over the demonheim dungeons is Dragonkin made. Why would that make sense given that the mural shows dragon creatures (ergo either dragonkin or made by dragonkin and serve dragonkin) destroying the city? Examining the mural says that the dragons are destroying 'A' city, not 'THE' city. It might just be a mural that the dragonkin made because they were proud of their dragons for destroying a city? True but then the collapsed city does have an ash effect falling from the sky and a post fire smog type colouring to the air and it doesn't have any noticeable dragonkin logos.

  17. But if you try all the quads, you'll obviously try all of the doubles and triples also. So you still have to try 16.7m combinations of 4. Edit: Ohhh, I see. I'm not sure if fairy rings roll around like that. (ais - aip - air - ais - aip may cover 2 combinations of 4) They most "roll" like that Because combination entering requires you to enter and activate each code then go back and activate a new one. Entering the combination in order even with random other jumps preceding it would still trigger the jump as you have entered the code in order. So assuming no break is taken the combinations enter must roll so that the last 2, 3 or 4 codes entered could be the combination despite the fact you are only trying to test pairs.
  18. People also havent considered how things stack with testing as they do it all in 1 go. Taking mistknowitall's first few checks: AIP - AIP AIP - AIS AIP - AIR He did them all in a line so he actually entered: aip - aip - aip - ais - aip - air Assuming no combination goes beyond a quad that means he has actually tested aip - aip aip - aip - aip aip - aip - aip -ais aip - aip (This one technically doesn't matter as it doubles up, but for sake of showing how the combos roll) aip - aip - ais aip - aip - ais - aip aip - ais aip - ais - aip aip - ais - aip - air ais - aip ais - aip - air And so on. There are 4^3 = 64 possible destinations for the base rings... That makes 4096 double combinations, 262k triple combos, and 16.7m quads. Yeah 43mil is a bit off, just to cover the math used. 64 possible ring combinations. Then for duos there is 64 possible combinations for each of the 64 so 64*64 = 4096. For trios there 64 possible combos with each of the 4096 dues so 4096*64=262k Then again 64*262k =16.7m for quads.
  19. All macro shots, bit of a mixed bunch. Light was very changeable due to clouds so had to fiddle some exposure issues and was a bit too windy for ideal shots of the some of the smaller flowers. But all in all I think there's some pretty good shots. Critique, comments etc. please. [hide=Sweet Williams] [/hide] [hide=Rose] [/hide] [hide=Lily] [/hide]
  20. Yeah you read the bottom line: Infernal URN for 1,875xp. This is not infernal ASHES which appear around the middle of the list (item 19) for 62.5xp It does clearly says infernal URN
  21. But freneskae is a whole seperate plane an entirely different world; kethsi is just a ruined city in a distant region of our world. There's not really a huge parallel there.
  22. IIRC most of the time all the worlds are roughly in sync. So in the same way they all get star falls about the same time and evil trees about the same time an active obelisk appears around the same time. Ergo it's pretty much a given if your world is dead they all are for now, unless you happen to be catching the beginning of a new wave
  23. no, it points slightly farther north i believe. I think it might point at lamistard's tunnels. But it was jmod confirmed in that rsof thread where they confirmed when chaso ele hints were sussed (dont have the qfc) that it pointed to the ritual sight, which is right by that fortress. And isn't Lamistard's tunnesl the ones we climbed thru to reach the fortress, surely you mean Jhallan's tunnels that are right on that northern coast line? @Salleh we already know dragonkin and mahjaratt overlap. Disturbing the stone of jas prompted the cut scene about the imminent return and their prison breaking. That clue that points to ritual site mentions stone prison which obvious refers to the imprisoned dragonkin and the stone of jas. Lucien took the stone of jas in order to "win" the ritual.
  24. So definitely the fourth age. The whole strong remembers the weak falls is definitely a reference to robert the strong. Possibly a reference to the baxtorian waterfalls as well. the year is a coordinate 2212N1145E, that points roughly to the following location slightly north of that i think, *shrug* Yeah it points to the empty area near that fortress which zemeregoul(?) built to be right near the ritual site.
  25. the city mentioned in chaos ele hints with obvious links to stone prison aka where the dragonkin are atm (heard some gd theories on their prison being inside the stone of jas) And obvious mention of robert the strong aka dragonkin slayer. And a mural of fire spewing creatures destroying the city. Its pretty obviously in the dragon family and as all dragons were made by the dragonkin...
