So my kid was banned!
The issue I find with these people banging on about unfair bannings and how they are so prolific. They have the inability to comprehend a few simple facts: 1) Bad examples always stay in our memories more than good examples (eg people remember the one time a kid got in a fight over more than say a good play performance, or a sports victory) 2) Pretty much every example on people wrongly banned DOES get reversed. 3) Examples where jagex have mass banned to do with a bug, including some incorrectly, they have explained many times they mass ban to stop the bug abusers dead THEN review everyone and often a good 90% odd banned get unbanned within a day or two. It's standard quarantine style procedure. If a deadly virus breaks out in a hospital their first step isn't testing who has or has not got it or trying to cure it; the first step is to qurantine anyone who might of contracted it and then deal with them case by case. 4) No-one ever posts about or hears about the about the swathes of CORRECT bannings because most people correctly banned aren't stupid enough to rant about it. I an say without a shadow of a doubt justified bannings outnumber incorrect bannings by atleast 5:1, though I fully expect its closer to 10:1 or even 50:1

food on the first one was easy peasy I found. It may of been one of th bugs but I found they auto eat (the ones ur not controlling) when u leave combat as long as they have food. However if you do not switch to them it does not seem to actually update their inventory meaning you can give them 1 fish then swap to someone else and they pretty much infinitely heal. The 2 bugs that most annoyed me were in the Thok dungeon. First being you'd get bosses tht randomly spammed their "special" move that is the big hitter making it near impossible to not die (examples being sagitare had me unable to move for 90% of the fight and riftsplitter opened 8 sodding fire portals at the same time.) Then the second bit that annoyed me bug wise. If you restarted from a checkpoint in Thok you would have all the trophies, the bosses you killed would be missing and on complete the objectives are all ticked off BUT you only get 70% and thok's comment about not showing his might indicates you missed boss monsters. Other 1 that seems buggy but aint too bad pops up in both thok and veng. When restarted from a checkpoint secondary objectives become undone. like vegance you have to go back to talk to survivors again as its undone Thoke you have to redo mini-marm, the farming, the runecrafting and the mining/smelting

New Player Coming Back?
TDs is tormented demons unlocked during WGS, they drop d claws Revs means revenants them pker repalcing ghosts in widly (now in a dungoen) Herb farming is pretty self explainatory you farm herbs via farming skill. Dailys referes to the various once a day things that can be bought/unlock. Some of which make good money. Such as zaff's battlestaves. Ahrein in cathurby sells seaweed and pineapples etc.

New Player Coming Back?
Oh yeah totally forgot to mention the dungeonnering resource dungeons. Most are useful for slayer (like blue dragons, hellhounds, fire giants(?), metal dragons) as they add new spots that don't get too busy most of the time. Some are epic for skilling dwarf mine resource dungeon has a deposit box making the triangle of iron rocks just outside really easy to powermine if you hate dropping. And then the ultimate frost dragons. Best bones in-game for prayer training net a massive profit. Resource dungeons are small dungeons that you can access at certain dungeoneering levels. And in the whole prayer area demonic creatures now drop ashes that can be scattered (buried), ectoed or altared. There's 3 levels of ash; the lwoer two aren't much use but using prayer urns (crafting) you can auto gather them and then tele the urn for a nice ~10% xp boost on jsut scattering. And infernal ashes are only a few xp different from dragon bones so they sell well and are good for a cheaper prayer training choice. (Not checked recently but excluding the low level bones and focussing only on the reasonable speedy methods infernal ashes are better gp:xp than d bones and frost bones.)

They did use best settings possible for a while...then the whiney noobs all moaned that their game didn't look that good cause of their [cabbage] pcs. So now we get [cabbage]ty pictures with at best mid level graphics settings across the board; or 1 setting turned right up to show off something and the rest bare minimums.

New Player Coming Back?
Probably also worth pointing out: Hitpoints skill became constitution. and HP itself became LP which is 10 times larger (so 99 constitution = 990 lp) Food and attacks all hit 10 times more now. New damage splats now show darker splats for damage others do (so you know which hits r yours) plus they have icons to show melee/range/mage damage type. and a orange splat to indicate a max hit. And dungeoneering is epically worth it. The scrolls related to herblore, farming (and to a lesser extent smithing) are great money savers. Chaotic weapons are the BEST weapons in-game for general use, especially the rapier. Tome of frost is a god send for ancient mages (unlimited water runes in shield spot). Especially as some staves now have a % boost to mage damage making using staff of light or other such staffs much better than a water staff. Bone crusher is epic for slaying as it auto buries bones for you; which all adds up in the long run. Gem bag is good for slaying as it allows you to store a lot of gems in 1 slot thus making them worthwhile to pick up. Herbicide is good as it "burns" herb drops of your choice automatically for double cleaning xp (gr8 for things like abbys to weed out all the useless herbs) Arcane stream is best mage necklace in game Ring of vigour owns for maximising special attacks for pking and some boss hunting(?) Oh an anti poison totem can be used to great effect in PP and BA. Some other updates I think came after u quit that are decent: Barbarian Assault horn - epically useful as long as you enjoy ba. Switch in waiting rooms let u turn for points to xp gains which fills the horn. The horn offers double xp to fm, agility and mining. Two new high level agility courses make that pretty ownage. Staff of light is new epic mage staff with the best(?) mage damage booster on it New slayer master (Kuradel) found in the ancient cavern with a task specific dungeon. Hunter Jadinkos offer new epic xp rates and access to untradable farming juju that is very useful for herb farmers. Fairy Tale part 3 quests allows fairy ring usage with no staff/items About all I can think of atm.

I never said the quest types were exclusive. Nor did I say a quest falling into one category meant it ignored the others entirely. I simply meant the PRIMARY aim(s) of the quest. Not all quests can be primarily aimed at rewards. Not all can be aimed at being sheer light entertainment. Not all can be aimed at telling lore. And to clarify further by "fun" quest i meant specifically the wacky light hearted quests thats goal is to be entertainment and fun. Not quests that are fun to do, but are more about challenging you and/or contain serious story elements.

I think a more apt way to say it would be: Not ALL quest are meant for the reward. I think quests fall into 3 categories (not that they can't overlap as well) "Fun" quests - obviously subject to person opinion but not meant to take a lot of effort or give much reward. Just entertaining or tounge in cheek entertaining at least. I'd say a lot of the troll quests and One small favour fall into this group. Lore quests - quests that teach us a fair amount of lore. I'd place early elf quests and meeting history firmly into this lot Reward quests - quests that are challenging in some way and should have a decent reward pay off. I think in quests that should be rewarding, like most of the higher lvl quests and quests fair way into story lines jagex does often miss the mark with their balancing. But on ones that are obviously primarily about lore telling and/or being fun while not challenging too much I think rewards are about right.

Dungeoneering typo
Kitting up = to gather and prepare/wield you kit. Kit meaning your armour, food potions etc. Knitting = something you do with wool to make jumpers IRL lol

Some of the humour in the Thok one was ace cause it picked up on things players have mocked. Eg behemoth = cow thing Nightgazer = eye thing The first two enemies who talk about how the guardian door is a stupid security system And the annoyance vented at skill doors with the "you need level 10 prayer to exorcise this dark spirit" throuhg to Thok headbutting it "Apprently you don't need level 10 prayer"

So my kid was banned!
1. Cause I'm a parent 2. she doesn't know how 3. not really it's all crap and spam 4. true but she's 10 and been crying about all day. I mean honestly her account is [cabbage]. Odds are she does. Kids are way smarter and lie to their parents successfully frequently. You seem to of forgotten what its like to be a kid. Just cause YOU think she dont know doesn't make it true. For one thing kids are so computer literate these days most can easily match their parents computing skills by about 10. Google would tell them everything they need to know to subvert admin only etc. And a kid so would do it; When I was ~8 and my brother ~10 we had dial up internet with a password AND a time logger program cause we only got so many hours a month and the computer was passworded. We knew how to get around the log on password, had memorised the internet password and new how to use command prompt to exit the time logger and then edit its log file so it didn't show it had been shut down. And this is all in the times before google made everything easy to learn. Our parents didn't have a clue until I was about ~18 and it came up in conversation about kids getting away with stuff. Oh and aside from that as someone pointed out the t&cs do say no under 13s and anyone who joined when they were allowed should have dob on their profile which means they are limited to only quick chat.

They're on the floor, in a bit of an unlikely arrangement. Keep in mind that you'll have to look on floors 12-17. The floor range of 12-21 posted in the news item is (probably) wrong. I think I rather believe the news post then the knowledge base :P Its a tricky one to call, but for now I'd follow kb since kb ones all overlap with news article anyway. They r just narrower bandings so we know those narrows bands 100% must give the memories; just not if the others in news post do. Cause news says 1- 12 for bearskin and the guy KB says 1- 11 12 - 20 something for swords on news 12 - 17 on kb 30-40 news 30 - 35 kb

As far as I am aware it's just squares that are "used" by an object. Like the squares around a mining rock or fishing spot. DGS ppl prob can give a more definitive answer though.

Um, according to the news item it's floors 1-11 for the bearskinpelt, floors 12-21 (aban1 + some furnished) for the collection of swords and floors 30-40 (aban2 + some occult) for the scribbled notes. Is it wrong? i took numbers from kb

No-ones getting shafted. Its rewarding loyalty from release day onwards. Every starts level pegging. Past loyalty is irrelevant. It's like when a store has been around for ages and then launches a store card you don't get rewards for what has gone before. It rewards loyalty from then on.
