  1. Math derp lol. Strange how its always the blindly obvious stupid mistakes you make without thinking and just can't see til its fully pointed out.
  2. Isn't it 100 shards to 10 darts? So 40k for 10 darts, not per dart. Of course each ancient bone is worth about 80k (if made into Elements scrimshaw), so that adds 8k to each dart. ~400 per shard 100 shards = 10 darts 10 shards = 1 dart 10*400= 40k per dart or 400k per 10 darts.
  3. Darts seem useless since you need 10 ascension shards per dart. That's like 40k per dart at current ge value and there isn't a huge reason for the shards to get cheaper really. Seems a bit like a dumb move imo things made into ranged ammo have traditionally 1 resource to 10+ output. So why suddenly inverse it here? Especially since you are asking for an item that can make 10 t90 ammo to instead be used to make 0.1 t85 ammo.
  4. Kinda disappointed there doesnt seem to be any new building options - was expecting at least warehouse upgrades and new portal options for the new materials.
  5. Probably the equivalent of the +100 or +w/e it is % but for triple stats. Maybe the new best trait to get for 4th captain at least (so you have 1 morale, 1 combat, 1 sf and 1 multi)
  6. Makes sense Make sense to need the scrolls then, tbh I would not mind reefwalker scroll req on normal and all scrolls on trimmed. The damage mitgating thing on ring could prove borderline useful. 100 asc shards + 1 ancient bone = 10 darts, so like 50-100 darts per mission. Hulls caught my eye first is a new sf hull, 2nd is worse than the others but has balanced stats across all 3 types. Most important change though: TIGER RIDERS NOW USE A TIGER AND NOT A LION.
  7. The real question is has comp cape def stats gone up to match reefwalker?
  8. A bit of a surprise, was expecting Hati etc this week. And I wanted to see my fellow country-mates in game again this week :/. It's nice to have someone to speak Swedish too. Even if they are bloodthirsty wolves. Ports ftw though. Not surprised on the wolves historically its the week of the 14th that they emerge (or after it if it falls on weekend)
  9. It's his play style to partially DIY certain things. It may be more efficient to do things differently (like leaving bars and getting more kills per trip for better gp/hour) but it's his choice, and should be respected as such. (Not aimed at you specifically, but at the forum community as a whole) No need to get all preachy. We can't memorise and store the play style of every user whoever asks from help anywhere on the forums. Yes not everyone may want to take the advice of the most efficient way to play, but people are only trying to be helpful when they bring it up (unless it entirely contradicts the question asked) since generally speaking most average players want to be reasonably efficient and do find it helpful.
  10. ^This F2p can earn bonus xp from lamps and such but cannot use it.
  11. ^ In addition to that note that within the 'powers' menu there is a few tabs Melee, Ranged, Magic and Defensive The xp toggle thing appears on the first three and in each case refers to that type of combat (so melee tab effects melee xp etc.)
  12. Doubtful. For one thing we now know those are placeholder values and the ring is meant to be defensive, not offensive so odds of it having any decent crit is slim. Equally imbued rings don't increase by that much. Warriors, Archers and Seers ring being the best 3 in-game go from 2.7% > 3.0% from imbue. So even if the 2.0% crit was real an imbued version would only run to around 2.3%, still a good 0.4% behind sixth age circuit and the individual un-imbued rings.
  13. I can't see a defensive ring being much use, it'll give such a small amount relative to armour and we already know we can sacrifice huge amounts of def via power armour to no detriment. Defensive capes may be mildly interesting as they ought to give a fair chunk, but again can't see em being particularly useful
  14. We knew that on the original thread too, as the later part of that reddit post shows mod dean's second reply found on page 23 of the thread.
  15. Helring posted the original rsof like 3 pages ago.
  16. I seem to recall seeing somewhere that people would be reimbursed for the original 'value' of their house. It'd be easy for them to work out and do anyway Yeah as discussed earlier there are several options for what to do with the old style houses, most of which cover some kind of continued existence or like-for-like replacement. But equally a ge/shop value refund system can work just as easily to compensate folks. Plus it's not like they are going to outright delete the existing styles/stuff - some of it might be graphical made-up a bit nicer (eg cape racks) but I'd expect all existing furnishings to exist in new con in some form; plus no doubt the existing wall styles will carry over in some improved form. Of course some folks will get mad and angry ut's not exactly the same as before, but things change and evolve that's an mmo for you.
  17. Well actually, even if there's only main hand ones, we'd be able to do mh DL Darts + off-hand Chaotic crossbow, which would still be better than dual CCB, RCB or Zaryte bow.We would have a bit lower damage than actual Lv. 85 weapons would have, but we'd be hitting with Lv. 85 accuracy instead of Lv. 80, which is still a nice boost. Video looks promising on dual wield, at 1:38 when they show you the thrown weps you can see an identical purple handle sticking out from the rear hip of the player which suggesting he has the same thing equipped to oh as mh.
  18. 3.0% but those are generally ignored as MA is too dead and the time investment is not remotely worth it in metagame terms. The only people bothering to get thme should be those hoping to trim comp cape some day.
  19. I just can't fathom how Jagex think those stats make sense. It's like hey guess what when you get like 20-30 defence and start to earn a little bit you can buy this ring with 2.7% crit to really help you! But hold on to your hats! How about once you reach level 85 defence? Who wants that poxy 2.7% crit when you can buy this new ring with less than 2% crit! Or (hold on even tighter now) you can train your stats so that you have level 85 def and two level 90+ skills then spend like three months slaving away at ports to make this ring with 2% crits! How lame does your cheap, req free 2.7% crit look now?
  20. Well they have sailed that ring down the river of dead useless content before it even launched. Omg yes lets work super hard for a ring that gives 2.0% crit by getting like 2 lvl 90s, never mind the fact for a few hundred k you can buy lvl req free 2.7% rings and for less xp than 2 lvl 90s you can get a 2.7% across the board ring. And this is the superior ring, not the weaker tradable version... I hold little hope for the cape now, though the pre-existing structure of the weapon tiers might save the darts atleast in a niche of better than zaryte, rcb and ccb but worse than ascension.
  21. That's basically how construction/all skills work already. Now you pick between oak, teak or mahogany to power to 99 (excluding warbands) and it decides how quick it goes and how much you lose. I don't see it changing that greatly, I'd imagine the xp will still come from building the stuff but you get a hefty slice of extra xp, and maybe some resources, when you 'sell it' opposed to any actual money based on how well you met the brief. The idea after all is to move away from build destroy power training to something more varied not to change the skill from a money sink to a profit spinner. @above I have been wondering how that will work when they put the update out. Personally I think dahmaroc shouldn't be an issue, the code already exists of if you destroy your study with it in you can get a new plinth and place that for it to re-appear; as long as they give us a way to place the plinth the statue should port over nicely. As for costume room/pet house I'd imagine the most logical way would be to make them in to more literal bank-like workings so that the items remain but can't be reached without the appropriate access point (kinda like p2p bank spaces in f2p) so like when you build the new cape rack you regain access to those stored. I kinda wonder how old houses will be dealt with - will they be plonked on to an in world plot and converted to the new format as best as can be? Or will they simply be hidden away to be deleted at some point years down the line when everyone has had time to cross over? Or (my personal favourite idea) they could be converted in a number of 'free wall' tickets (based on what you had built) along with an assortment of untradeable special flatpacks handed out by estate agents allowing the old style houses to be erased immediately but their entire existence to be returned to players who had them in a way they can rebuild in the new ways for free.
  22. Moss growing south side thing is a total urban myth derived from moss growing in cool shady places, plus it only even close to makes sense for northern hemisphere so its application in Gielinor is some what questionable where we have no idea about hemispheres or the sun's arc in relation to buildings. Let alone the fact it is a detail not included in any building to date so why would it apply to 1 random house. Plus there is a distinct difference in the two wall sets, the 'north side' lot has quite ornate doors, windows, roofs and a nice fence and such. South side has much smaller basic door and windows and lacks other niceties; much more than simple one side has more moss.
  23. Similarly, adding a string to a longbow staff makes a giant metal shield grow from the front. Indeed that needs fixing (imo you could just repurpose square shields into bow-shields since shields are borderline useless anyway and we don't really need 2 types per metal and you could easily rejig the elder shieldbow to incorporate dragon OR you could just take a leaf out of elder shieldbows book and have them all have wooden shield-type bits), but at least that one you can semi excuse as fantasy game mechanics, the same way you ignore the fact hitting bars a couple of times with a hammer can fuse them in to a plate body etc. There no way around the fact when you assemble your crossbow the materials some how invert themselves. The sad thing is with that one using the above idea of repurposing square shields its not even really hard to fix, you don't even really have to do any graphical work for it the ninja team could just literally do a quick recode for the materials needed for the shieldbows up to magic level and simply rename the square shields to 'bow shield' and take out the stats and wielding. Where as the crossbows there is no way to fix without graphically redoing all the component items or the crossbows themselves.
  24. When they rework these skills I hope they finally address the giant derp of crossbows. Ever since eoc we have very clearly been using crossbows with wooden limbs and metal stocks made from metal limbs and wooden stocks...
  25. No idea. From what was said at runefest: Building will be more sims-esque as in putting walls and floors and furniture where you want. There will be like 10-12 plots around the world where houses can be, you can build on ~8 of them, any you aren't using will be filled with random houses from your friends. Training will have the focus shifted from build destroy build destroy etc into taking orders for houses which you then build and sell on to a npc. On a personal perspective I think that those wall kit concept arts suggest exterior styles are perhaps pre-set based on the location you are building in. The 'North side wall kits vs 'south side wall kits' to me looks like something akin to Varrock where the northern half of the city is nice and southern is a bit dirty and ruinous - though it could easily fit other cities stylistically (eg falador). But based purely on that I get the vibe that exteriors won't be entirely player controlled and at the very least the house location might have an impact on how the exteriors look (if not entirely defines it)
