"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I don't think its remotely true that both parties need to be homosexual (in the case of cross-sex) or hetero (in the case of same-sex) friendships for them to be platonic friends in the longterm. I have plenty of perfectly platonic friendships that fall in to such categories that have lasted for years on end. It's more of a problem for kids/teens I think but once you reach a certain age and the hormones calm down you don't find yourself developing feelings for everyone of the gender your attracted to just because you spend a lot of time together.

Evolution of PVP combat!
I don't think adding skillers to the wilderness is the answer in the slightest. Historic polls and response to content has shown that people generally dislike having non-pvp content in the pvp areas. Plus trying to draw them in does not result in a good pvp community. It results in douchebags purposefully hunting unarmed people with no interest in pvp but immediately run away from any proper pkers, who wouldn't go after unarmed skillers as they want a proper fight and decent rewards from it. Simply putting unequipped, inexperienced players who do not want to pvp in the way of pvp as bait is just not the answer; it fails to make true challenging interesting pvp and only serves to purposefully annoy a large subset of players as the express purpose of the content is to lure them in to dying for kicks of pkers.

Behind the Scenes- December
Apart from the fact we already know there are substantial differences between we1 and we2. They are moving around in big convoys for one thing, not directly fighting each other. Then there is the different things to be done - supplying divine energy, defending the convoy, attacking the enemy convoy, building strategic structures around the map. There's mechanics for map areas to be claimed and lost. There's a world wide optional pvp element.

But Guthix wanted a world free from gods therefore the most Guthixian route in such an event is not to seek balance but to seek the option that will best remove gods with minimal destruction. Removing a god that wants nothing but war and thus destruction and ensuring this does happen smoothly by supporting the seemingly larger other side would be far more in keeping with Guthix's desires.

I kinda feel like the 8 factions were original meant to play an important role in world events but have since been forgotten and relegated to just a little flavour content with little to no purpose than the odd quest-based dialogue tweak.

I'm not all that surprised they are killing a big god off so soon - things were getting too crowded really. I mean Saradomin, Zamorak, Bandos, Armadyl and Zaros make up quite a number already. Then you have Tumeken, Scarabas, Het, Crondis, Ampken, Amascut and Icthalrin who have quite a complex plot going on that is building to something. Marimbo, the karamajan god and the fremmnik gods have all been spoken of in coming more tot forefront. Seren has clearly been changed to something bigger than she was original thought. Tuska is enroute. Sliske is seemingly ascending There's an npc we've seen but not met who has ascended. Brassica Prime has become something more serious in the godly structuring. We've got 5 elder gods now confirmed as existing (Jas, Ful, Frenskare creator god and 2 un-named) Plus they have mentioned from time to time a few other gods yet to visit Gielinor may be en-route. That's like 25+ gods in the fray already, they need to thin the herd a bit.

The idea of momentum plus would definitely be nice to see implemented, give some progression to momentuming so the disparity between its damage and ability damage doesn't just get bigger as you level up and reach better abilities. Plus could add some variance in tactics (for higher normal monsters, probably wouldnt be a good idea for bosses), using your range expanding thing you could, for example, create a dungeon with some turrets/balconies that are safe spots, but you are too far out of range when up there to attack normally. Then you have the choice of being safe, but slightly slower at kills, or wading in full on. Of course it'd need to be balanced right so that these hypothetical monsters hurt enough to make being safe a tantalising option for more than just afk purposes.

They said in QAs and such the fragments would have no use in future world events. Side-bar: I think Bandos' problem is twofold, firstly he is hard to agree with compared to the other 'evil' gods. They all have an underlying purpose and motive, Bandos is just smash smash smash. Secondly he seems to be quite similar to what Tuska is going to be, Tuska however seems far more interesting with the mindless beast and all that going on rather than being a supposedly highly sentient creature that just wants to smash stuff and be vengeful and bullying. Also I think there is a factor that deep down all of us kind of like the prospect of peace ruling Gielinor (to an extent) in the longterm; we don't want constant needless battles tearing up the world forever more and this is all that Bandos desires.

No more annoying than when they nerfed t85 armour as a whole a couple of months after most of it came out with the whole tank:power thing. I mean aren't the t85 gloves (and glacor boots) kinda meh anyway being tank items? They don't degrade =/ And nor do the t70 power armour gloves and boots from GWD sets and last I checked t70 power > t85 tank

First chaotic
Substancially better. The way they balanced claws to compensate for CLS being bad means they have better DPS than cls, rapier and maul. Factor in that at t80 you can ignore the smaller weaknesses (stab, slash crush) instead just picking melee with no real detriment and rapier, cls and maul become an utter waste of tokens.

Barbarian Assault Horn
Yeah if you can get a team together that are any good it can work out fairly ok, but that is of course highly contingent on getting a team together in the first place, which can mean several hours of xp waste before you get going. This is where you then end up with worse xp rates from using horn than just doing fpf for all tht time instead.
-
First chaotic
I'd go for chaotic claws. They are better than all the other melee chaotics (and less tokens) Where as chaotic cbows are only a small boost over the rcb you already have. Plus many people would advise t70 dual mage over t80 staff so I wouldn't take it as first choice.

You should be done your tests by the time it rolls out I would imagine. It's a minor point, but you can't possibly know that. You don't even know when his exams are. If they're after Christmas, which isn't unusual, your reassurances fall flat. With the bts vid for it next friday it seems as though the world event will be launching ~9th Dec 6 week event takes us right through the ~20th jan A lot of post-xmas exams/deadlines fall right in that window.

Behind the Scenes- December
Compared to last years, this one is absolutely not worth it by the tiniest bit! Do we actually have the full details of the packages? I see a lot of people saying this with certainty yet afaik we haven't actually been shown the full details yet so can't exactly judge it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=iMHJnbX-eLY#t=177 I don't call a brief flash of a screenshot/list that could easily be a mock-up for a page yet to exist or indeed simply the main advert table with 'extras' listed in an unshown section (you know like last years did) full details of the packages.

Barbarian Assault Horn
4 - no once you've played ba they just lurk there. 1-3 using ba horn is horribly inefficient and made worse by ba being so dead these days. It is also bonus xp like fallen stars, not just xp like lamps. For mining and fm you waste more xp charging it than you earn by just training straight through. For agility the best option in game (fpf) can't even benefit from the horn.

If you can get them afterwards they are by no means exclusive to the event.

Behind the Scenes- December
Overall sounds like a good month. Bit disappointed that after being told a while back that we'd be getting "back to normal" with quests and that there was 4 due this year we've only had 2; but I'm sure I'll cope. Seems like a strange month really in that only 1 content update is permanent. 1 will just be around for 2 weeks, 1 for 15 days and 1 for 6 weeks. not sure how I feel about them introducing a new tradable rare - I thought they were attempting to fix the economy tradable rares are kind a problem in that.

Festiva aura
If you read the news the imps won't talk about it or give it out until the 1st of december.

Future Update Discussions
It's surprising Jagex even really allowed it to be an option. I mean they can't just put it in-game as the original design is - they'd be slapped with a copyright lawsuit of some form or other quite quickly for such blatant copying. Then if they are going to 'tweak' it to avoid that is it really the design that won the vote or just some generic rs styled thing vaguly similar to what won the vote.

Evolution of PVP combat!
That won't really achieve anything other than make near dead minigames completely dead or having 'naked' players briefly flitting through the wildy to go to the banks inside their minigames to gear up. Plus wouldn't encourage proper PvP just mindless AMG I PWNED YOU noobs jumping on people who don't care and don't retaliate in the hopes of maybe getting a couple of sharks or a games neck.

Future Update Discussions
I feel like in Jagex towers they have a whiteboard of response targets to the players and its covered in big smiley faces cause they smash it every single week and their reports on reacting to player feedback are all glowing because they listen to us when we say that item is a bit too red. Meanwhile there is an entire floor just full of the actual issues that are harder to reply to in a grade a manner so they sweep them under the rug and don't respond or include them in reports. In my head it's like the game issues range from major surgery warranting traumas to minor cuts and their 'listening to players' is all to busy debating whether the MLP or Harry Potter plasters are cooler to bother calling the surgeon to look at the major wounds. [/overly complicated metaphors to make a simple point]

Good armour and weapon for slayer
I wouldn't agree with this. Whilst you can work towards t90 they cost a heck of a lot and are kinda overkill for slaying so may not even be worth aiming for ever if you only pursue slayer. Meanwhile t70 or t75 weps are a step down in the efficiency of killing, especially for the higher level stuff in later slayer tasks. And quite simply there are not other options out there for much of it. Chaotics are only t80 melee choice. Staff is 1 of 2 t80 mage choices, the other one costing massive amounts. Crossbows are 1 of 3 choices for ranged - RCB will be slightly lower dps (with abilities) but is much cheaper/efficient to get as long as you can manage QBD. Zaryte is again insanely expensive. So whilst you can easily dodge the bullet as it were for ranged via RCB if you don't have 71mil+ to burn you are not doing yourself any favours for mage and melee. Not to mentioned you can abuse sinkholes etc. to easily get the lower levels of dg done then be at a point where getting tokens for a chaotic is quite easy to do.

Good armour and weapon for slayer
Bandos, Armadyl, Subjugation + Chaotics are a good basis. If you can afford d claws to make chaotic claws you don't really need any other melee ones (plus less tokens) Dual ccbs are a nice base for range, if you can beat QBD royal xbow is a good cheap alternate. Chaotic staff is about as good as you can get for mage unless you have many many millions to drop of virtus wand + book or seismic.
