  1. pet/familiar interface > dismiss, same as all pets.
  2. There's a trope for that: it's a good mechanic from a story perspective, it'd be a good mechanic if the game was built around that sort of thing, but as it is, it just isn't very fun to play because of how distracting it is. I mean, Blutters' screenshot makes me think they can show up during boss fights, it'd be kind of bullshit for one of them to stun you when you're supposed to be dodging a hit, or for them to give you a "real" death in the middle of an otherwise safe area. Especially when they went out of their way to make the world event "safe" to encourage everyone to use the best gear they have without risks. Someone in my clan got one INSIDE tears of guthix earlier...
  3. This cryptic cluefest is annoying me thus far, the clues just seem subpar in construction compared to previous ones. Previously you had to know how to solve specific puzzle types, which makes sense, and have decent game knowledge, the two so far this year just seem to go so far beyond that. The first clue's construction doesn't really 100% fit to a known puzzle type and kinda relied on a massive leap of faith to dive in to decoding it and hope something came out - which was a bit much imo since it takes a fair bit of time to even decode 1 word, let alone all 3. Today's clue bugged me because it kinda required real world knowledge that isn't necessarily something everyone would know or is easy to find in 1 google from the wording provided.
  4. These ambushers are cool but have a couple of flaws imo: 1) They don't give safe deaths - ruins afk and low attention training for the next month-ish 2) They are kinda strong if they spawn on you when your not in combat gear.
  5. Well it's hardly rocket science - we already have mechanics in place to unlock things, including abilities, at a given event (eg quest completes, shops etc.), we already have mechanics in place to have readable 1 time only scrolls unlock things (eg dg rewards) and we already have the mechanics to give out things at random on an in-game event (eg the bol titles) Between the three of them it is easy to implement monsters 'dropping' abilities in any number of ways.
  6. Yeah Moltare confirmed warpriest will be dropped by arma and bandos gwd just like the existing 2 are. The abilities will be dropped by bandos and arma bosses as very rare drops. The titles, overides and emotes will not be obtainable, just like bol
  7. The folks who charge in on a tower of all arma pkers alone then try and lure 1 away and run over the line if they get piled or are near dead are just stupid. I'm not even a fan of pvp but if I got it turned on to speed things up I'll stand and fight til one of us dies, especially if I started the fight in the first place. Only time I'd run is if I'm darting in to an area and spot a ton of enemies and decide better of it before attacking and turn around.
  8. It's akin to the BoL bonus titles. You can get them randomly through the event. Currently, if you switch sides, you lose the Warmaster of Bandos/Vanguard of Armadyl titles. Is this a glitch or intentional? It seems intentional; if you have the title in use and then swap sides you get a chatbox message about needing a dragon token implying that until you earn the dragon token it will re-lock on swap.
  9. I missed out on day 1. According to your calculations, I could still get all rewards if I follow block B, right? I'm currently at 150K renown for Bandos and thinking about going Armadyl for final stretch. If you missed 1 day block b or block c would work out fine as you'd finish at 39.8 days (1.2 days spare); but block b would be the logical choice since block c is the hybrid mess for those of us who already did the t1 swap to redeem ourselves with the new figures. tl;dr - Yes.
  10. According to Jagex wiki calendar event ends of the 41st day. For block 1 (all swaps) this means you need 0.4 extra days aka 12.2k. Alchemists give 4-6k so it is 4 alchemist maximum needed. Block 2 and 3 both finish on 38.8 days so you have 2.2 days to spare without any Alchemists used.
  11. It actually does work now (it didn't, at all before) 616k for God A (leaving ability 3 in god b for now) takes 20.5333.... days Day 21 is now when t3 opens Then 548k for God B takes you to 38.8 days. So if you have stayed with 1 god exclusively you are set now to get all rewards with ease. Edit: Actually checking this out if you have swapped (so are with god b now) you can still do it in 38.8 days Stick with God b to t3 now for 572200 and all rewards (bar t3 ability) at 22.54 days Then do god a for 487800 and the remaining rewards at 38.8 days Hadn't thought of changing route midway Edit 2: For anyone that wants to see the numbers this is my spreadsheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AiiWNnszLqVydFA2Wl84RXVDdEl6bk1yb2pZTFBYcFE&usp=sharing Top block is the swapping every stage method. Middle is the 1 god at a time method Bottom is the started swapping then going straight method.
  12. It doesn't; previously tiers unlocked in 4 and 7 which made a lot of wastage, Moltare confirmed they have been tweaked to 3 and 5 which means they unlock before you need them in each case so the numbers are 100% a matter of getting enough renown to buy all (and the excess to get required token in t3) the stuff asap. That calendar however is what gave the 41 day run time showing that we do in fact need a few alchemists. The 0.40666.... works out to 12.2k and since alchemists give 4-6k thats 4 alchemists maximum required in the next 6 weeks at any time you desire (though obviously only when you have space to gain 6k more energy)
  13. No. You NEED to the 450k token req for t3 emote and title; even if you skip war priest pieces you STILL have to do all the work to get the token. All skipping warpriest does is open up renown for use on lamps opposed to war priest pieces you still need the same amount of work for the dragon token to get all the rewards. If you skip on earlier tiers it equally leaves you short of token requirements meaning you have to do the work anyway.
  14. It seems things will be tight but not hopeless with changes to phases: If you do: God a - Everything t1 God b - t1 (sans ability) & t2 God a - t2 & t3 sans ability on both God b - t3 everything It works out to 41.4 days of renown needed, with a 10k wastage getting d token for god a in last stage. If you do ability with god a for t3 it works out to 44.8 days. So its not entirely within doable (since wiki calendar suggests we only have 41 days) without a couple of alchemists, but better than it was before phase shifts. Exact workings for anyone that cares:
  15. Well he was asking specifically about points and I've found in all my time at runespan creatures give far faster points than nodes. Yes lower nodes the faster chance of runes with added success rates produces faster runes, but lower runes are also worth less points to the point that you end up getting slower points overall. Whilst soul and death/soul nodes aren't higher enough success rates to give runes as reliably as creatures. If you are in it for the xp certainly chasing nodes is the best bet, but some how I think the main focus of someone with a sig about comp cape, 99 rc and asking about runespan points specifically isn't the xp/hr it is the points themselves.
  16. Planning on Alchemists is a fools game. Node Find fc has been stalking them and manages to find ~6 a day, thats an entire fc dedicated to find them and they only find 6 a day on average. Factor in they only have 40 charges per alchemist and you need up to 22 of them within 12 days to make up the necessary short falling and its not a good picture. Also Pingoin no that idea doesn't work - you NEED a dragon token to get the t3 emote and titles; if the event is exactly 6 weeks you CANNOT get a dragon token for god b having bought god a's stuff. No matter what way you cut the cake chasing all rewards the fact remains you have to be with god a up to day 30 when phase 7 opens to buy those t3 rewards and after that happens 12 days does not leave enough time to get a dragon token on god b in order to get the title and emote. No matter what rewards you drop/ignore for getting later the fact remains for anyone with the ultimate goal of getting all the rewards it is not possible to get a dragon token in 12 days making it impossible to buy most of the t3 rewards on god b.
  17. There is 2 possible routes to ALL rewards: 1) Stay with god a right through to phase 7 then swap to god b 2) Do god A t1, God b t1&2, god a t2&3 and finally god b t3 Option 2 involves less overall renown wastage. Both options do not leave enough time between phase 7 starting (day 30) and 6 weeks exactly (42 days) to gain 450k for god B to get dragon token. 450k = 15 days work, day 30-42 = 12 days. The key point is this is for ALL rewards from BOTH gods - 2 sets of warpriest, 6 titles, 6 emotes and 3 abilities.
  18. Creatures are faster for points than nodes - they give less xp than nodes but are faster runes and runes = points. If you are purely after points you should ignore the nodes and focus entirely on the 2 soul esswraiths. I'm not sure on exact rates, but having been dipping in and out for comp trim req and rc rocks I wanna say its around 1k an hour. Though it could be higher, I've not exactly kept track of time vs points.
  19. With dragon token at 450k renown the event needs to be 45 days for all rewards for both sides to be obtainable (excluding alchemists though you could nvr get enough to make up the difference). Since phases are 5 days I think 45 seems plausible instead of a strict 42 days for 6 weeks, though 45 lands us on a saturday so if that were the case I'd expect an overrun to mon/tues (maybe even wed) for 47-49 days. If it's not 45 days+ they gonna get a lot of rants cause even skipping a reward or two (eg warpriest you can get l8r) doesn't make it possible because you need to dragon token for the t3 emote and title.
  20. If you want to max slayer most effectively you will want to follow weaknesses to the extent of melee, magic, ranged using t80 weaponry therefore it is important to have a good armour set for all 3 classes.
  21. 1) I'd invest that 70 mil in to Subjugation and Armadyl to compliment the Bandos. 2) Claws are by far the best melee choice, if you have royal there's not a lot of point in getting dual ccbs. I'd go for the staff though, t70 mage is kind a big step down and you don't have funds for virtus wand and book (the ideal t80) 3) I'd do Frosts over TDs, much more consistent income; though see how you do from training first slayer can turn a good profit. 4) t90 > nex > gwd > pop > barrows in terms of top end armours for slaying so no I wouldn't bother; just make the tradables for an easy few mils
  22. There's 3 games all contained within the crater each with a good and an evil way to play. Hardly spread out enmass.
  23. It only seems to be a select few who use terms that way. Most people seem to use T85 to mean lvl 85 req gear etc. Using level 85 works okay for armour as it always means defence, but it becomes confusing when you move over to weapons because it could mean attack, ranged, magic or in some cases strength. That's where T85 is better overall terminology.
  24. Seems unlikely imo since the very same video and all lore states Gielinor was silent, empty and concealed before Guthix found it eg no other races. Plus whilst 'someone' may have made the floating islands that 'someone' can easily be the elder gods after all they made all the worlds and it is not like we have not seen other floating island worlds - Abbinah is described as being floating island orbiting a core of water and Naragi homeworld appears to be islands 'floating' on roots. Certainly the Armadyllian floating island for clan citadels seem to be made with magical interference, but not all island of the sort have to be the same. Iirc the Emperyean citadel doesn't show signs of such magics to hold it up and nor does Armadyl's current 'tower' really. Also if Armadyl had been exposed to artefacts for that long I'd of thought he'd be of a higher tier already, especially as the Stone of Jas was so readily lying around on Gielinor and he'd of had ample chance to mess with that if Guthix had not already come.
  25. But the desert gods mostly do not have to ascend. Elindis was a water spirit elevated by spending time with Tumeken. Amascut and Icthalrin were born as demi-gods due to parentage being gods. Crondis, Het, Scarabas and Ampken are all fragments of Tumeken created when he went to sleep to avoid the edicts so are gods by the power of their whole being a god. Only Tumeken needs to have ascended for the entire desert pantheon.
