I wouldn't mind if it was. Not going to take active steps to try and get it banned, cause it's such a widespread activity. As long as some [wagon] isn't standing right in front of a door I need to go into, blowing smoke in my face, I'm gonna let it be.

Second hand smoke. Oh, and it smells disgusting. Don't get me wrong, I don't complain about it openly and obnoxiously. But it is rather annoying to walk through someone's smoke.

Oh. Well, my newspaper said shotgun. But they could be wrong.

I can't find the article from my newspaper, but it was talking about how some people tried to survive by acting like they were dead. The gunman, after shooting people, went around and shot everyone again in the head with a shotgun. That struck me, because that's exactly what I would have done: faked dead. And not even that saved them. It's so terrible. I can't even begin to describe it.

I don't think I dislike anyone on this board to the point of doing that. Confession/Secret: My mom is bi-polar, and is really difficult to deal with now that I'm older. A lot of what she does gets on my nerves. I love her so much, and I don't want to have a bad relationship with her when I'm all grown up. My dad told me that she just never really learned how to be a good mom, because my dad was the one who stayed at home with my brother and sisters when we were young while she worked. Now it's kinda like the opposite, and she doesn't know how to handle it. It's really hard to see that as true, but it is. So, along those lines, I have a better relationship with my dad than with my mom. And I hate it. I want to get along with both of them equally.

You see no reason to prevent them, yet you know all the negatives of the drug yourself. That itself should at least spark some sort of sympathy for the person and in turn lead to a preventive course of action, whatever it may be. In a lot of situations, nothing you do will prevent the person from using the drug. That doesn't mean you can't at least show your sympathy and concern for this person. You're telling me that if a friend of yours wished to do heroine, knowing he could get addicted, you wouldn't simply suggest against it or remind him that it could be a huge mistake (I can understand not getting extremely involved in it)? That seems a bit absurd. Of course, there's hardly anything we can do for those we don't know personally, but, once again, almost all of us would rather someone not destroy their life with a drug addiction.

Hate being "tricked" into being the designated driver... Phone call with a buddy: Me: Hey man, I'm out longboarding, but I can be back at my house in like, 5 minutes. Did you need something? Him: Oh, okay. I'll just ride my skateboard over. [so-and-so] wants us to come over before the party. <--driving one person now -arrive at [so-and-so]'s house, hang out for a bit- [so-and-so]: we should probably head over now. -[so-and-so] and 'him' proceed to get into my car without bringing up the subject- <--driving two people now. Heh, and then 'him' got pretty drunk and flirted the whole time with this chick I like. He gets all physical and friendly when he's drunk, and that pisses me off. Anyway, being dd sucks.

Played some wiffle ball with a few friends and their siblings. It was pretty hot out, but really fun stuff. Going to a party later tonight. The host made spodie... I've never had it, and I'm not entirely sure it's going to be good. :\

Sun tans or fake tans? And do you mean on yourself or on everyone (such as women). Lady preference, I'd say I'd like a little bit tan, but still white enough to know they're white. I'm picky, and for some reason, I'm just not attracted to really dark skin. I'm only worrying about tans because of this stupid farmer's tan.

I know this scenario is dumb, but I think it may prove my point. There's a room with two buttons in it. One button gives drugs to a person craving said addictive drugs. Another gives him something that will end said craving (not a drug, just some magical elixir :P). You are sent into the room, and you can either press the two buttons or simply leave without doing anything. For some reason, I think almost all of humanity would press the button that ends their craving for the drug. I doubt anyone would just leave and pass up a chance to make someone's life better. Heck, if you would, I can't change that. I'm just trying to show you that despite what you say, I think you kinda do care. :P Not trying to press my beliefs on ya.

I'll clarify that I'm not against social drinking. When talking about drugs, I can't say that I don't care about people doing drugs, because I do. I'd rather they didn't because it probably harms their health, and there's always the scary possibility of addiction. But, I'm not going to be the strict parent and butt into their lives to tell them to stop that [cabbage] (unless it's getting way out of hand).

Many times the situation is so that they are actually affecting other people (actually, I'll be bold enough to say that anyone addicted to drugs is not only hurting themselves; no matter what, a person can make a connection and show they are affecting others). If you manage to find someone who actually is only hurting themselves, then yes, we shouldn't care. But if faced with the question: Should people, who are guaranteed to get addicted to a drug, do that drug? Sure, you could say all you want, "I don't care, they can do what they want." But to be honest, it's hard for me to think that on the inside, you wouldn't simply rather have them not do the drug. You may not go out of your way to prevent it, but you'd rather them not get addicted to the drug. It's about empathy. Everyone has it (except those experiencing certain psychological problems). Choosing between whether a person experiences a life of pain and suffering or not, I'm sure you'd wish for them not to, no matter how unrelated they are to you.

Do you work as some sort of lifeguard? Or do you sell ice cream on the beach? :P That would suck. How do you ever get together with your friends with that [cabbage] going on all the time? --- I get really annoyed when I cut myself shaving my face.

When talking about addictive drugs, how can we not step in a try to prevent it? It's called solidarity. Mankind has to care for itself and it's existence, else there would be complete chaos. Addictive drugs for users who want to quit (there are tons out there who wish to stop but can't because of addiction) can ruin their lives. That's why I care about people around me using such addictive drugs, because I don't want them to get addicted and have their life turn to [cabbage] (I'm not assuming everyone's life turns to [cabbage] when they get addicted, but many do). Of course, this doesn't really apply to non-addictive drugs (though it can if the person uses it so often that their health becomes an issue). The way I see it, there are plenty of reasons for us to care, even if the drug doesn't directly affect you.

If my whole body was the same, light skin color of your typical Caucasian man, I wouldn't bother ever trying to get a tan. But unfortunately, years of football out in the sun gave me a pretty bad farmer's tan (not to mention a sock tan and a low short tan from the football pants). And I'm not sure if I like the farmer's tan look, haha.

Thanks! I'll look into those.
