  1. I think it might have to do with that hair style she's sporting, too. The bump (and blonde hair) might blend in just a bit with her skin, making her forhead look a bit bigger. EDIT: I'm trying to gauge how many people would be pissed off at me if I made that Emma Watson gif my signature. Cause I want to soooo bad. >.< Maybe I'm just a little bit too obsessed.

Say I want to do cardio (running) and ab workouts. Would it be better if I ran first and then did abs (and pushups occasionally)? Or should I do ab workouts and pushups before I run?

  4. I guess it was how I was raised. You know, that whole 'treat girls with respect' thing. And to me, making out with a girl without looking for a deeper relationship isn't having much respect for her. I've never ever thought of ever being in a 'friends-with-benefits' relationship. Frankly, that disgusts me. Don't get me wrong, I don't judge my friends as bad people. They're not as bad as so many other people.

There are tons of 'legal' objects that can be extremely harmful when used wrongly against another person. Are they supposed to illegalize knives? Thermite is used in industry/construction, knives are used as cooking utensils and for various other unharmful activities. To me, it doesn't seem that stupid. I mean, the way you put it, yes, it seems perposterous, but if you look at other objects, you'll see that almost any object can be harmful in some way or another.

What is QLD? Whenever it's mentioned, it confuses the hell out of me.
  7. So, I have this mindset that makes relationships with girls rather difficult. I'm rather picky when it comes to what girls I find attractive to the point of actually wanting to be in a physical relationship with them. So there are very few who are in this category, and at this time, only one that I possibly have a chance with. A lot of my friends around me get into a lot of flings. We'll go to a party and often times guys from my group will go make out with girls that went to our high school (while under the influence). But no other meaningful relationship exists between these 'couples' besides the occasional physical 'get together'. For me, such a relationship doesn't look appealing at all, especially since none of these girls are attractive to me to the point of wanting to do anything physical with them. I feel like I shouldn't be going around having physical-only relationships with girls, because 1) I want to be able to be honest with a girl I get into a serious relationship with and tell her how I didn't just mess around with a bunch of other girls (basically, I've kinda held back and waited for said girl); and 2) all the girls I do find extremely attractive (i.e. those who I would do physical things with) I'd rather have a serious relationship with. Anyway, I think it's preventing me from getting over certain girls. I could be like all my other friends and just get drunk and flirt like hell and take advantage of the situation and just make out (or do more) with all these other girls. But for some reason, I don't want to do that. And, tbh, my hormones are really pissed off at me because of it. :P So... anyone else experiencing something similar?
  8. Oddly enough, that's where a ton of professional matches are played. At least the ones on YouTube. It's almost always either Sanctuary or Zealot. It's crazy how well the pros know those maps, too.

How are you still able to post? So jealous. Everytime there's any sort of thunderstorm or anything at my house, my internet fails. :c

A lot of those items may be legal, but you probably have to have a permit or some sort of documentation that shows you are capable of handling the equipment safely... And that you're allowed to operate it in the first place. Except maybe the tanning beds. :P
  11. Awww, he's so bumbly. Has all his baby fat, too. What a cutie.

CHEGG!!! I rent my books, and it's pretty darn awesome. $40 to rent a $200 book for a semester. No worries about selling it back or anything. And they give you a box and a label to ship it back after the semester. Soooo easy.

Is 'un-tanning' possible? Say maybe for a whole 5 months or so, you really don't see much sunlight (i.e. the winter months). Does your skin naturally fade back to a lighter color? I mean, scientifically, skin rubs off after a while or just fades away and is replaced with new skin cells (an out of the blue guess that seems to make sense...I could be totally wrong, heh).
  14. Lmao. That's the first thing I noticed, too.

Datsik is pretty awesome, too. Listen to "Nuke em". It's not really fast paced, but it's super funky and totally good to head bob with.

The government agency I'm working for is being audited today. So, that means I get to sit in this fancy conference room listeneing to people getting drilled with questions and trying to come up with answers to please the auditers. At least it's taking up my whole day (and maybe tomorrow, too!). :)
  17. How do you keep talking if you don't know how to contact her? :o Or are you in the same workplace/volunteer group/religious group etc so you see her a lot?
  18. Reminds me of how fun it is to ask someone to rate something on that scale, when the question can't be answered that way. It always surprises someone when you ask, "On a scale of 1-10, are you going to be here for lunch?" I agree, though. That scale should stick to things like Runescape Achievements. ;)

I tan naturally. I don't think I'd be comfortable tanning artificially. I probably should use some sort of sun screen, but I never made that a habit since I rarely burn. But this risk of skin disease may change that. I've always known about it, but I guess better safe than sorry. I'd say I like the way I look when a bit tanned. It's better than a farmer's tan. So that explains why I tan: to get rid of this farmer's tan. I was actually thinking the other day, since it's almost gone cause I've been longboarding shirtless for a bit now, when I start running after work is finished in a few weeks, I'd start running in the early mornings in long sleeve shirts. Won't get too hot, but will also avoid those darned sleeve tans. :P On girls, I'm more attracted to light skin. I'd say white skin with a bit of a tan is what I'm into. Not albino, but not brown. An inbetween, if you will. So many white girls at my school tan to the point of becoming brown, and I just don't find that all too attractive, especially since half of them are orange anyway.
  20. Also, the opposite. Maybe when you're at a small venue with maybe 20 or so people watching a band, and the lead singer wants everyone to clap. Just not the same effect, buddy. Especially when people aren't really into your music. o.O I didn't even see that. I agree with Obfuscator, though. Catholic doctrine is some of the most rational thinking I've studied. It has basis. It's not that stupid 'flying spaghetti monster' crap. And for the sake of keeping the peace, I'd say both theists (at least those who know Catholic doctrine) and atheists partake in very rational thinking. Great minds have been on both sides. It's the stupid accusing of the other side of being irrational that gets to me. :\

I think the stigma that's been seen in this thread is not the generalization that all heroin addicts/users are homeless junkies who have destroyed their lives (Off-Topic is too smart to do that :)). I think it's more because we're worried that those who use heroin will damage themselves psychologically and physically, because so many people have done so in the past. At least in my case, the only reason why I'd assume that someone using heroin might be in harm's way is because it does, in fact, harm so many people. Even if they were using it in a controlled way, I'd still be worried. That isn't a bad stigma, I'd say. It's one based on concern. There's plenty of safety hazards for riding a motor cycle, but there's a perfectly safe way to do it. Yet, that doesn't stop me from worrying about my dad, mom, and little brother whenever they go out on a ride. It might just be me, but I don't judge heroin users to be homeless addicts or whatever. I'm concerned for them. Being perfectly honest, I'll only jump to that conclusion if I see a user whose life is actually down in the dumps and who can't seem to control his/her urges. But I'll still be compassionate for them.
  22. Oh, was definitely a joke. :P
  23. It's okay to admit you have a tanning bed in your room. >:3 @Omar: Oddly enough, my younger sister just yesterday suggested I make my own ice-cream for fun. Sounds like a marvelous plan, tbh. EDIT w/OT: I think I post too much on these boards(with my 13.6 ppd). Heh, must be mildly annoying to some people.
  24. He called them yellow bastards at the end. o.O @Dizzle: Hah. No sense in getting all riled up for nothing, right. Respect.
  25. Haha, I spent a whole semester learning about why donating to food banks and hosting soup kitchens isn't doing squat for the food security of our world. I always wanted to just have a go at my professor and say, "They may not solve the problem, but they sure as hell prevent a lot of people from dying, so really, what's the harm... Many people are too lazy or aren't willing to press for legislation that improves food security. It's better that they give food than do nothing at all." (I'd say, as a college student, I'm much to 'busy' to try and do something big like impact my government at this point. :P) I know it sounds dumb, but the low quality of local commercials is what sets me off: good ol' Russ Dean Ford yelling at the shaking camera; you can't hear a word he's saying because it's so windy and he isn't even microphoned or anything; and then there's the poor picture quality. Oh, and don't forget those commercials that have the cheesy saleman yelling at you while big yellow letters flash in and out of the screen "Liquidation World, we have this and that and this and that for this price, come now! GO GO GO!" ...Yup, all commercials suck. I'm glad my family doesn't spend money on cable or anything like that.
