  1. I'd go after a girl like that, too.

    Today...

I do that with my roommate all the time. Smoking cigars and just loitering outside the dorm is great. Of course, we're 25+ feet away from the dorm, so we won't get in trouble. ;)
  3. I don't think she's anyone famous. I just found it while browsing. I swear, I see this thread as more of a 'Hot/Beautiful Women/Men' thread, as opposed to just celebrities and models. A girl who looks like the above. Just as pretty, I think.
  4. Over, did you download Xbox Connect for free? Cause I've been reading up on it, and I'm getting mixed reviews (either that it works or that it doesn't).
  5. Scary. X-Rated - Excision http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxNT8ONn-To
  6. For sure, dude. I'd say the stomach (maybe even the just the lower portion: the abs, upper pelvis) is my favorite visible part on a girl (as opposed to breasts, butt, legs, arms).
  7. Yes, I'm reviving this topic. Hip bones on girls, namely fit girls. They get me. [hide=may be innappropriate][/hide]
  8. Oh, I just took it. Had to use this funky calculator that I borrowed from a physics professor. But I'll have exams in the future, which is why I'm looking into getting one.
  9. Found it on amazon. $13 for a new one. Sounds like a deal. Oh, and just on topic (thought of something), I ordered an ethernet cable from amazon three weeks ago and it still hasn't came. I've even gotten an email from amazon asking me to rate the purchase. That's never happened to me before (not getting my order on time). Guess I'll have to email the seller or something. EDIT: From what I heard from another student, our bookstore only has one type of calculator, and you can't even do scientific notation on it (there isn't an [EXP] button or [EE] button).
  10. You think they'd have that at Safeway? Cause that's the only close store near my campus.
  11. Don't force yourself to believe in God because others around you believe, man. Like you said, if something goes wrong between you and your parents, it'll be something to learn from. If you find it too much of a hassle believing in God (or you just find you can't), there's nothing stopping you from living a good and happy life anyway. Trying to enjoy yourself and the others around you as much as possible. Most people get held up in all this believing and non-believing. I suggest not doing so; focus on being a 'good' human being, no matter if it's for yourself or because you religion strongly suggests it. I think you'll be happier. Of course, some people (like me) find having God in our lives as a fantastic addition.

    Today...

Grading labs and studying for a computer science test tonight. Test shouldn't be hard at all.
  13. When my chemistry teacher doesn't allow graphing calculators on his test. Sure, a graphing calculator has a sig fig calculator on it, but using a lame four function calculator is going to seriously slow me down on this test. And, since I can only do single operations and can't recall, things'll be even worse.
  14. Define for me ultimate perfection, love, justice. Socrates spent years trying to define justice. Yah, we can understand a part of it, but trying to fully define it (key word is fully); good luck with that. Putting a definition to God is like putting a fool proof, absolutely correct definition on love, perfection, justice. And those things we cannot fully comprehend. EDIT: Sorry, Ob. Shutting up now.
  15. There is very little evidence speculating one way or the other to be honest. So there is no reason to believe any current theory of how the universe came into existence either. Don't tell me otherwise unless you have SOLID 100% proof that you can show to me. If you are going to tell me that the universe just exploded, show me the damn video recording of it. I'm not saying the big bang theory (note the theory part, theory is defined as a well explained and supported idea) is correct, but I am saying there is no empirical evidence that any deity exists and therefore there is no reason to believe in one. You cannot claim that, Nom. I know of many reasons to believe in one. This isn't the 'does God exist?' thread, though. We'll get nowhere. Requirement of empirical evidence is just this mindset of modernity and how human beings have to understand everything. And that's just what it is: a mindset.
  16. I figured he'd want to find a way to keep his faith in God. If not, he can just use it as a reason to start caring for people.

5th one looks like a visualization for iTunes I saw on a website before (needless to say, I tried to download the visualizer cause I like it so much, but it was Mac only). So, I really like the warmness of #5.
  18. To be completely honest, I may try out the 'close friends' news feed. Sounds like it'll make things easier, being able to see only the news of people who I want to hear about.
  19. Have you looked further into church teaching (Catholic) on God? Because that stuff is actually extremely interesting (and can reinforce your faith, if anything). Secondly, everyone lives to enjoy themselves. If your living for curiosity, your living because you want to satiate this curiosity, which will be to your enjoyment. As for understanding the nature of the universe, that's a high goal. As a Catholic, I believe that the universe can never be fully understood because God cannot be completely understood. Also, I guess I suggest an examination of conscience. Do you really not care about people? Are there some in your life who are very close in your heart? If so (and if you actually want to keep your faith in God), look for God inside them; meaning, look out how good they are. Find God in them. When you understand God is the good in everyone, he becomes more apparent in everyday life. If there are none, go find some people who emanate goodness. For some reason, it's hard for me to believe that you live simply out of curiosity and that you don't care for people. You said you are curious to see what will happen as the world unfolds around you. This means you're curious about how your relationships with people evolve, which to me indicates that you care about how they turn out (thus, you care about what happens between you and people => you care about said people). Heck, if you didn't care about how the world turned out, you may have taken the awful road to suicide. The above was basically some ramblings. In short, look for the good in others and care for them because of it. If you surround yourself with good people, you'll have more of a reason to live (and you'll have more of a reason to believe in God if you recognize that God is love as corny as that sounds).

    Today...

I still don't think I've ever said 'fad' before now, tbh. If you could find somewhere that I did, I'll admit I was wrong. Got work done, today. Finishing up a last problem on physics, and then I get the rest of the night to study for my chemistry test tomorrow.

What do you mean, explain? You say a lot of things are just fads. What's there to explain? I don't believe I've ever even used the word 'fad' before that post. So explain how you came to the conclusion that I'm a hipster? Is it because you're mad because I think 'bronies' is stupid? Sure hope not.
  23. 3 consecutive life sentences. *bangs gavel* Damn, I'm in a tight spot. @TTanT: I can have my arms crossed, cause aim doesn't matter. So much more satisfying.
