Generally Greater Reverence (Or its higher tiers Master and Supreme) is best for slayer but you can use Penance between recharge periods if you have a task that deals a lot of damage. I am personally just saving my points so I can continue to upgrade my reverence.

I would assume that the lag is produced by mass xp gain or something.. I was lagging like nothing else on W87 but had zero lag on w63

The only trouble is the high levels required for the uber money making generally include 95 prayer for turmoil, 90-something herby for overloads and 90-something summoning for uni/steel titan/yak. So you kinda need to spend the money to get there before you can use the money makers that make the big bucks. You just need to find some friends that will help you pvm (corp/bandos) In less than a month you can make the money required for those levels. (91 herblore/95 prayer) Yak is not required for most things unless you plan on doing stuff like DKS

Personally I use my lamps on skills that are slow or that I just don't like to train. Slayer (slowest skill in the game atm) Hunter Agility At higher levels you can make money so fast that it is almost a waste to use lamps on skills such as Prayer/Herblore/Construction

I personally soloed smalls for 90% of my DGing (1-97) Med's seem to be a waste of time in my opinion.

Gano is nice for mith dragons because of its defence but as for offence, Stick with ahrims because of the cost to repair/buy Ganodermic.
