Can Jagex detect real world trading?
Yes they do, and we don't know exactly how it works. If we did, a workaround would be quite easy =3.

Authenticator Glitch?
One way to fix it, is to deinstall authenticator and then reinstall it. Another way is to deactivate authenticator in its entirety, however as you seem to have e-mail issues, I would advice contacting @JagexSupport on Twitter. They can fix that email issue for you rather fast.

[Update] Death's Door - Halloween Event
Death's Door - Halloween Event Death's Door is this year's Halloween event, and you can play it in RuneScape right now. Help Death repel a ghostly invasion of his home, using specialised ghost-hunting equipment to dismiss the unwelcome dead before you're reduced to a gibbering wreck. Earn points and trophies to be spent on XP lamps, gear that gives bonus damage against ghosts, the ability to burn bones on a bonfire for Prayer and Firemaking XP, and more. Read on for the full, gory details! How to Play Find Muncher by the Burthorpe Lodestone, and speak to him to head to Death's house. When you get there, you'll find that Death's beset by an invasion of ghosts - unleashed by Melzar the Mad - and that he's powerless to exorcise them himself. He'll hand you a proto pack - the very latest in ghost-hunting technology - and set you to work banishing his unwelcome guests. Examine the furnishings and ghosts will start to manifest, but beware: each hit you take will increase your fear meter - displayed in your minigames HUD window. If the fear meter hits 100% you'll run screaming back to Death, and lose 20 of your hard-earned reward points. You can reduce fear gradually by standing in moonlit areas of the house, or by using comforting items found in chests around the house. Some ghosts are tougher than others and some have insidious special abilities, but the stronger they are the more points you'll earn for ousting them. Refer to theGhostpedia from your minigames HUD to find out more. Rewards Chests will appear around the house every 10 minutes. You'll be told via the minigames HUD when there's one to find, and you'll have two minutes to get to it and claim its loot. They can contain: Chocolates, teddies and night lights: comforting items that reduce your fear level when used.Active ectoplasm: grants a temporary buff to your damage against the ghosts in the event.Demonic traces: five of these will let you summon demonic ghosts - the scariest and most rewarding spectres you can face.Ectoplasmators: there's a rare chance to get this handy item - which gives Prayer XP when fighting ghosts - if you don't have one already.Ghostly essence: this very rare substance can attune your ectoplasmator (or recharge one that's already attuned), improving its abilities.Other loot: including bones and seasonal sweets. You'll get points for each ghost you dismiss. Muncher or Death will give you the following rewards in exchange for these: Ghost hunter gear: a four-piece hybrid set that gives bonus damage and combat XP against ghosts fought outside the minigame. Its stats increase at level 50 and 70 Defence.Cremation ability: this permanently unlocks the ability to burn bones on bonfires, granting you Prayer and Firemaking XP.Large XP lamps.Dismiss the dangerous demonic ghosts to earn up to one trophy a day, and spend them on the following rewards: Ghost Hunter title.Proto Pack emote.Large XP lamps. Finally, you'll unlock a set of proto pack cosmetic overrides for daggers, claws and crossbows, once you've dismissed 50 ghosts. Get hunting those ghosts, and watch out for our terrifying Halloween quest - coming next week! Join in the discussion on the forums and let us know what you think. cant install runescape
Simple google search netted me this answer: Once you got the CMD prompt running in administrator settings type out the following: msiexec /i C:\\[insert path to file location]\RuneScape.msi The path to the file location can easily be found. In the map where the file is located, click on the bar at the top, you might need to double click. The link you see here includes " C:\\ " , so you just need to add what comes after it. You then close it with a backward slash " \ " and then type in RuneScape.msi. This should fix the problem. Otherwise there is another program that interferes with RuneScape.

[Update] Ironman & Drop Table Reworks
Ironman & Drop Table Reworks Steel yourselves for self-sufficient 'Scaping and rewarding combat in RuneScape this week. Ironman mode is here - a community favourite now supported in-game, where you'll forge your own path in the world: making everything with your own hands, claiming every precious drop yourself - all without the help of others. It's a fresh challenge for experienced players, and there are prestigious titles and chat badges, plus dedicated hiscores to conquer. Beast and ghosts' drop tables have also been improved, following your vote earlier in the year. Fighting them is more rewarding overall, and can yield new, tradeable boots for mid-level rangers, or ghostly essence, which can be used to upgrade the ectoplasmator. Read on for full details! Ironman Mode To create an Ironman account, right-click on the 'randomise' button in the character creation screen to unlock an 'advanced' section of the interface. From there, you'll be able to select Ironman or Hardcore Ironman mode for your new account. Ironman accounts have the following restrictions: No player-to-player tradesNo Grand Exchange trades, except BondsNo picking up drops from other playersNo LootshareNo XP or loot in PvPNo multiplayer minigamesMost facilities in other players' houses cannot be usedNo assist or accept aidDungeoneering is solo onlyNo Sinkholes or WarbandsNo Treasure HunterNo Wicked Pouch from Solomon's StoreNo Refer a FriendNo Social SlayerXP gain from clan citadel plots is reducedNo benefit will be received from group buffs, abilities or spells cast by othersAny group abilities or spells cast by an Ironman players will only affect the casterYou must deal more than half the total damage to a monster before you will receive drops from it.Combat XP is reduced if you do less than 100% of the damage needed to kill an enemy (i.e. if someone else is fighting it as well)Ironman accounts come with titles and chat badges to show off their prestigious status, and there are Ironman hiscores to compete on. The real reward, though, is knowing that every hard-won victory is yours alone. Hardcore Ironman accounts take the challenge one step further: all the restrictions of an Ironman account…with permanent death. If you die in Hardcore Ironman mode, that's it. Your account will no longer be playable, and all gear, items, money and currency - including any RuneCoins or items purchased in Solomon's Store - will be gone for good. Note that 'Safe' activities carry no risk of permanent death. Hardcore Ironman players can purchase two extra lives from Mr Ex in Edgeville: one at total level 1000, and another at 1600. The first costs 100,000 coins, and the second 10 million. Once these two extra lives have been purchased, you can't get any more for that account. This is an optional safety net, in case you want to protect your investment in your Hardcore character while keeping death dangerous. Mr Ex can also change Hardcore Ironman characters to Ironman characters, and Ironman to a normal account, for a sum of gold at each stage. Note that all changes of this type are irreversible. Finally, please note that Jagex will not reverse the death of a Hardcore Ironman character for any reason - even in the event of connection issues, or account hijacking. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you use the RuneScape Authenticator to ensure that your account is as secure as possible. Beast & Ghost Drop Tables You voted for better drops from beasts and ghosts, and we've brought them to you today. The following monsters have had their drop tables overhauled, so fighting them is now far more lucrative: Beasts: Rock slugsTerror dogsWall beastsGargoylesKurasksTurothsBasilisksBloodveldsMutated bloodveldsDark beastsGhosts: Spiritual warriorsSpiritual rangersSpiritual magesGhastsMighty bansheesBansheesAnkouAberrant spectresThere are a number of new drops on offer, too: Three new sets of boots for rangers: these come in level 40, 50 and 60 varieties, and are dropped by basilisks, turoths and kurasks respectively. Drop chance increases if you're on a slayer assignment for those creatures.Ghostly essence: this stackable material can be used to upgrade the ectoplasmator to an attuned ectoplasmator. This charge-based item gives increased Prayer XP when killing ghosts, works alongside prayer-restoring necklaces from dungeoneering, and scatters ashes automatically when they drop. 500 ghostly essence are needed to convert the ectoplasmator, and more essence can be used to recharge it once converted. Finally, the chance of essence dropping is increased and drop quantities doubled while on a slayer assignment for the ghosts you're killing. Enjoy! It's a beast-wrangling, ghost-grappling week for RuneScape slayers and survivalists. Hang tough, have fun, and join the discussion on the forums. The RuneScape Team In Other News In preparation for the Impling Collector coming with part two of the Prifddinas release, we’re now tracking the types of implings you’ve captured, both in Puro Puro and throughout the wider game world.
