2. ooh yea, i didnt notice that when i was just looking at it, it looks as though the finger nails are upto the joint (should be about half that size) Still looking very nice Black flat
3. I disagree, i love the sig and avvy is nice too (not so much as the sig but still very nice) but i dont think you should have more colours, i love the different shades of purple. Very nice, no CC because to me it looks like some very nice work. Black flat

3D Image

Looks fantastic dude, really nice work. But work on shadows a bit, and next time try not having a red background if your going to have a lot of red in it, contrast can make or break the picture. Black flat
5. Can you please post original image? Id just like to see the grayscale... Black flat
6. Very nice, I like it. CC, maybe your fav band logo on your shirt (if your not in a band, if you are in a band your bands logo) Right arm is smaller than the left, and from the way your holding your guitar your right handed. Hair needs a little work, maybe add a drummer and bass guitarist as your bg, but its your choice... Again i like it, and out of curiosity what kind of guitar do you have? black flat
7. I added the last frame and put in a clickable link to your high scores page. Black flat
8. Looks like you've done one of 2 things 1. Got a picture of tomb raider and put your name on it after re-sizing it 2. Got a picture of tomb raider, put a weird layer over the top, put your name on it after re-sizing it... I don't mean to offend, but it doesn't seem like you have added much to the picture, unless you painted the lara croft or model'd her (which i doubt since you called her tomb raider instead of lara croft) black flat
9. Not the best but, normally when i do colour in jobs the subject is a little more, real. I've never really realized how difficult colouring and shading is! Doing a grayscale is so much easier. Ne who incase you can't tell this is my first colour and shade. Black flat
10. For those that dont know what its from you've gotta watch the Kevin Smith series (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and silent bob strike back and Clerks 2) For those that do know, i was gunna do a buddy christ but time quickly ran out as i was doing the border... black flat
11. just a quick question, can it be a 2 minute drawing that we scan in? just an idea... black flat
12. The big brands that i would personally stay away from are both Kodak and Pentax, they are my STAY THE HELL AWAY from brands. But again personal choices... Black flat
13. Well im in love with my Canon's, im not sure about in American dollars (presuming that you're american) But i've got 2 camera's, my main is a Canon 350d (AWESOME CAMERA, seriously it is top of the line in amature and mid range professional, so simple and easy to use i cannot praise it enough) and my second (or backup) camera is my Canon powershot S3 IS (high end amature or low end professional) again beautiful to work with, i actually prefer this for close up shot's over my 350d, hence why i keep it, but they are only good cameras if you know how to change the settings to your own particular likings, the things about cameras is what might work incredibly well for one person may be aweful for you. So really what you need to do is get a camera that your comfortable with, find out what is in your price range that is high quality, then goto a camera shop, pick them up and have a play. See what you like. I hope this has enlightened you Black flat
14. Im almost positive that you are alowed to link to DeviantArt, or if you wanted to host it and show it here you could always use the tags and host it on http://www.imageshack.us Hope this has helped, Black flat
15. thanks, well i apriciate all comments but yes i was actually planning it. So far this is how the picture is Completion Man - 90% Tank 1 - 70% Tank 2 - 0% Tank 3 - 0% Tank 4 - 0% Shadows - 20% Road - 5% Road Markings - 20% Tree Shadows - 15% Street Light - 50% Hours Taken Lost count a little, between 4 and 5 though. 16. some nice work you've got there (just a bit of advice tho i would take number 4 out before a mod see's it im not sure how they would react to it, could be deleting the pic, deleting the thread or even banning you, i wouldnt take the risk) But dude you've got some tallent, love em especially 3, 6, 7,12, 13, 14 and 17... Very nice, love your whole style, keep it up. black flat
17. First post updated with the new image. Ive done alot of work to it, the first tank is coming along quite nicely and I think that the guy is just about finished. As always i apreciate any CC, positive or negative, so please post your thoughts... black flat
18. beautifully done, anyone thats done a vector before (before starting one i didnt fully apreciate how much work goes into doing one) can really apriciate how much hard work you've put into it. CC would have to be, dont be afraid to put some black in there, extreame contrast is what ive always believed made vectors so great. Personally i love it, so dont go kicking yourself about it. 19. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7951501782144625225&q=tiananmen+square+tank&hl=en replace inapropriate link with video. black flat
20. I am actually Australian myself, but its nice to see that it's supported, i wasn't too sure what reactions would be like, although it is in no way meant to be, i thought some may see it as disrespectful. I wont be doing any more work to it tonight, but expect to see an update tomorrow. Black flat
21. See above where it is far better explained than i could ever do... But ne who yea this picture shows one man standing up for what he believed in. An act that is widely believed had him killed by his own government (away from Tiananment square), since it was never revealed who he was and he has never been heard from or seen since. [edit] my confussing explination of events have been confused on acount of its been far better explained. black flat
22. the same with me, it is very powerful. Crits: the front tank looks weird at the front, down the bottom. The panel extends too the ground, which it doesn't irl. The tracks also look strange, they're not square. Nice work though, good luck finishing Oh and whats the grey sq doing there? Thanks for the comments, yea it is an incredibly powerful picture. The reason that the front tank still looks weird is because (although its got over 220 shapes in it) its no way near finished, im posting my progress as i go through the stages of making my first vector. As i said in my first post i expect this to take me 2 weeks if not more to complete, with over an hours work each day (if not far more). As im sure you can see by the road, road marking, shaddows, the man and the tanks behind it. This is mearly the start. I expect the first tank to have a bit over 1000 custom made shapes on it, the tanks behind it to have around 400 each, the road to have a little over 100 and the guy to have around about 40 (although its difficult to see due to the size, theres already 13 on him) And finally for the grey square, i never meant for it to be seen on there, its for use as a colour referance (i actually thought i deleted it) black flat
23. As title says, im currently making a Tianenmen Square Vector. Its the first vector that ive ever made and so i wanted it to be a powerful one, and i figured what better way than to use one of the more powerful photographs of all time. I dont feel as though i need to explain the photograph (even if you dont know what happened in china in 1989 to cause the event it's still a very powerful picture) and the BEGINING of my vector (only had a bit of spare time for now) a bit of progress - http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/7537/2kd3.jpg http://img183.imageshack.us/img183/3006/1ks7.jpg I will post updates as i continue with the image, although i dont suspect that it will be complete for a good fortnight. As always thoughs, ideas, advice about vectoring and CC are always very welcome. Please steer away from political opinions (if any) and remember not too be too harsh on me as this is my first vector (never tryed to do anything even remotely close to a vector before) black flat
24. Yet another great sig, i havnt been watching 'the gallery' for long but your sigs are constantly impressing me, i'd love to see a tutorial one day showing everyone just how it is that you do what you do. Must say i love yoshi, and i think the circle 'bullseye' style things really complete the picture, really nice stuff. black flat
25. thanks for the comments, and i do agree with some of them... The face is a little misproportioned (although i believe that the ears are in the right place about 1 and 3/4 eyes away from the right eye) and with the hair, well ive never been very good at doing hair, although i did start to improve by the end (i started at the left and ended at the bit closest to the back, made the mistake of doing an outline of the hair first which makes it look very flat) im also very disapointed at the blotch on her forehead (i was talking to my gf on the phone a didnt realise a massive ink drop falling from the paintbrush, sat there for about 2 mins before i noticed it...) but again thanks for the comments, keep em coming. black flat
