Hmm, maybe a lot of autoers would know how to change their IP (though it doesn't take great knowledge of computers to download someone else's program and run it) let's assume for now that they do. The question is, how many would have actually done it? Especially since Jagex hasn't previously banned by IP.. So (back on topic) yes, a lot of rares probably were lost, but as said previously it's almost certainly the hype rather than the loss of the rares. For there to be a decrease in supply you're assuming that the autoers were selling their phats... Now why would they do that if it was a status symbol and cash is easy to come by through autoing?? They don't ban by IP, they ban according to UID (that's how it became detectable). Anyone with basic knowledge about computers knows how to use a proxy or change their MAC address. Also, many people have a dynamic IP, while others share the same IP, so IP bans are pretty much useless and won't accomplish anything. yes but runescape is a play anywhere game. I dont think you can access a banned account from the library.
