LimeWire sued by the RIAA
insane, i have a couple of articles here and here that you might find interesting. I'm not saying they solve everything but they show a different side to it. My views: I download music, but I know that morally it's wrong, I know that artists are being cut out of cd sales by file sharing, but frankly, the day that individual artists start sueing users for file sharing, then i'll stop. I get the feeling the RIAA isn't doing all this suing left right and centre for the music, but for the money. They're just milking this current cash cow with as little (actually less) moral thought for the young kids they give hefty payments than as the P2P users gave for music sharing. I don't see why I should support or back down to the RIAA, when they are just a bunch of greedy bullies, who say that they are "doing it for the music industry". That's rubbish, the music isn't going to the artists, it's going to fund more lawsuits, and they admitted this, so where does it end? The fact is, file sharers like music, they like the music that the artists produce, that's why they download the music. I personally love music, and will always support new artists, or buy the latest cd's that a band brings out, or even buy old ones, but I only spend so much of my time in a record store, I spend much more online so for me downloading is a more viable, and effective way to discover new music. I would not have spent nearly as much money on cd's as I would if i'd never downloaded. The RIAA is missing out on a golden opportunity here. Personally if the file sharing applications offered a "license" to download and file share, be it for the whole network or a license for each artist, then i'd be interested. I want to support the artists, but I want to discover new music easily and cheaply as well. Basically, the RIAA need to look at file sharing and realise that it is the future, and they need to find a way to tap into this future, not by suing music lovers, but by using the networks as a whole to their advantage. I want to get sued about as much as anyone, but if I do then I will hold my head up high, accept the consequences of my actions, and will honestly be able to say "I did it for the music", which is more than the RIAA can.

Do any men here love..shopping?
What I say is: "Down with people spending money they don't have on brandnames! Up with people feeling more secure in their clothing!" Designer clothing: comes out of the same factory as nearly every high street clothes shop, different label stuck on at the end. Wear what you feel comfortable in and what suits you.

coolest outfit for under 7.5 million?
Verac's brassy, verac's skirt (or d skirt?), climbing boots, obby shield, whip, legends cape, barrows gloves, and ahrim's hood. I used to pest control in it, nice prayer bonus and looks very cool.

Pirates of the Runescape sea?!
Amen to that, I'd love a more pirate based minigame, and Trouble Brewing doesn't count. Jagex love hiding in little easter eggs like this. For example examining that Brimstail gnome gives "Short and wise, he is" ala Star Wars' Yoda. I think it's a nice touch.

Do You Listen Reggae ?
I love a bit of Bob Marley on a sunny summer's afternoon, Aswad are pretty good too. I had to write a reggae song for music GCSE so i got to know the genre quite well. Still ended up sounding like garbage though, and not the band. :(

Date me
Whatever you do, you don't have to go over the top, it's only a month. Ergo, i'm sure you'd both appeciate a box of chocolates. :) Save the stuff LP said for when the relationship is further on. You don't want to use all your romantic options up in the first month. Except maybe the obvious stuff like holding here hand :-k

I love shopping for music and electronic gadget type things. Clothes shopping is...ugh, unless I have lots of money, but that never happens.

Long Hair on Boys.
My hair's kinda thick and wavy and I like to keep it long-ish. Too long though and I get odd sideburns and an annoying little tail at the back. I would never have it shaved or anything, even if I don't have it going down past my eyes I like a thick head of hair. 8-)

Ummm... Woman help :anxious:
Mate, you're 10 years old, you've got your whole world ahead of you. When you get to about 21 or whatever you want to be able to look back over your young life and have no regrets, so just go for it. Do what your instinct tells you, don't do anything you don't want to, and just enjoy the outcome, because at this stage it doesn't matter.

to any other bodybuilders out there
I've been working out for a while now, I don't take any bodybuilding vitamins but I have a protein rich diet, which is all they basically are. I don't see the point in lifting to excess, I still try and keep my cardio in good shape by running and cycling, and I do karate to focus my strength and mind and learn how to use it. This combination of things works well in rugby, which was why I started working out. I know a lot of guys who just did bench reps all the time and took protein pills, and I admit that they've got huge pecs, but that's it and they're useless if the rest of your body isn't up to scratch.

Do you believe in magic?
I'm not a religious person, but I am a spiritual person. Whilst I think it's important that some things have to be explained scientifically, I think the wonder of the universe and everything sometimes shouldn't be broken down into numbers, and just appreciated for what it really is; an awesome, fearsome place of life, death, love, hope, fear and every other emotion and state of matter. The sheer fact that we're talking about this proves to me that there is a magic and divine spark of wonder and awe in us all, no matter how hard we try and surpress it. If there wasn't any magic in this world half the things that we have achieved and thought and dreamed and been inspired to do would never have even been considered.

Frank Zappa on Crossfire. Censorship in art?
I'm against censorship in music, it's an art from and an expression. There should be freedom in music to say what you want and express your feelings without fear or reprisal. If you don't like the language in music, don't listen to it, no one is forcing you. Personally I think the swearing used in a lot of r n b is over the top and unnecessary, in my opinion, but I respect the rapper as an artist (kinda) and it's his art, not mine, if I don't get it that's fine it's my problem not his.

Dream theater
Can anyone recommend a good album to get started with them? Nothing too "deep" or anything, just a good album to get a good feel for their music.

3244 songs. I've had to cap it at that recently because my laptop has run out of space. But once I get my new computer I have a list of albums and artists that'll be making their way onto my iPod. :D

Bubsa sings Leva's Polka (Leekspin) ^_^
Wow, you have pushed the limits of human achievement, determination, focus and endurance to new levels. God bless you Bubsa =D> On a side note though, don't listen to that song in a dark room late at night, it sounds like he's behind you...

Bands and their Live Performances
I filmed that bit with my digital camera, it's was awesome, the green strobe lights started flashing in every direction and everyone was screaming with their arms up in the air. It wasn't even a hugely young audience.
