...except that James Blunt writes the most annoying songs ever. :P True, but the chords are nice, and if sung with sincerity i'm sure the girls will forget who originally sang it. Just make sure you don't sing falcetto :P

Chicks dig Eruption \ Nah seriously, try some James Blunt stuff, You're Beautiful is easy, or Fields of Gold by Eva Cassidy. Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley put several of my friends-who-are-girls in tears but it might just have been my singing. :P
  3. Steak cooked rare anyday.
  4. I pity the poor soul who had to do the voice for that, lord knows how much laughing gas he'll of had to take.
  5. I think they are a band that are very well appreciated listening to an album all the way through, but Echoes is pretty good really, the songs flowed surprisingly well for a compilation album, it's definitely a good start. I couldn't recommend Wish You Were Here more, it's one of my favourite albums of all time, but Dark Side Of The Moon is a good start as well for one of their concept albums. The P*U*L*S*E dvd is also well worth it, achingly beautiful stuff.
  6. I put on some music, normally something relaxing or one of those songs that always puts a smile on my face, barrage myself in my room and lie on my bed. Takes me away from it all.
  7. My thoughts are with his family and friends, he co-presented probably the best program on TV, it wouldn't be the same without him. I really hope he pulls through.
  8. I'm against it, if they did something bad enough to warrant a death penalty; let em rot I say.
  9. It's possible at 66 with stew and saw, but I wouldn't recommend it, +6 bonus from stew is stupidly rare, trust me. Once i got 67 it was much easier to get one set up.
  10. Another point. If you're interested in playing Pink Floyd stuff on your guitar, try and work out how David Gilmour had his guitar rigged. Some songs he has a lot of reverb, or echo, or uses other techniques, and it can be frustrating trying to get your guitar the same. You should be okay though if you have 7 years experience. Also, don't neglect the early Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd, it's a bit more psychadelic than their later stuff but still very good. If you like the gritty side of Pink Floyd try The Wall, for more elegant soundscapes Wish You Were Here and The Division Bell are safe bets.
  11. Depends. When I used to have lessons on the classical and did the whole grade thing I was "supposed" to practice at least 30 mins a day, but because the music wasn't that inspiring and i felt pressured to practice I rarely did. Now that i've stopped lessons on the classical and mainly play the electric I play a lot more. If i'm learning something new, or trying to find something new it might be a few hours a day, if i'm just going through my base repetoire to keep my skills going maybe only half an hour a day. Somedays I don't play at all if i'm busy, but i'll normally pick it up once a day at least.
  12. Pink Floyd are a fantastic band, excellent music, always made for the sake of music. If you're looking into buying a few albums, the Echoes greatest hits style album isn't a bad start, but buying Wish You Were Here and Dark Side Of The Moon would give you a good feel for Pink Floyd. Was there anything specific you wanted to know about them?
  13. Oh the irony... you slay me, you really do mate. Anyway, I won't drag myself down to your level and get involed.
  14. Yeah because i've heard lung cancer's a blast... Not saying you were talking about smoking, but to all those who tell me life's too short so it's okay to take drugs, why make it shorter eh?
  15. I suppose The Blue Oyster Cult was always fairly unique. ] Others I know just flicking though my iPod: Bonzo Dog Doo-Bah Band Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band Charles Wright & The Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band Country Joe & The Fish The Cooper Temple Clause Elmore James and His Broom Dusters G. 16. I thought the whole point of ninja's was that they didn't really talk? Anyway, back on the subject... avast ye scurvydogs, free rum for all! Argh! banged my head
  17. Do I really have to answer that? You seem to view yourself far too highly, your earlier posts were nonsensical, insensitive and poorly thought out. You can come down off your high horse now. Anyway, I think that these new laws may seem nanny-stateish at first, but god knows how many lives they could save. It's just one of those changes which may seem ridiculous but really, is for the good of the children.
  18. Nope, never. In fact I have a natural inclination to bluntly say no to anything peer pressured. That's not to say i'm a clean living bore though, if there's something I want to do then i will do it, regardless of what other people say, but i've sat in smokey rooms with everyone but me smoking cannabis, and refused several times. If I don't want to do something, nothing will make me do it, especially not peer pressure. I'm a fairly healthy guy and would always say no to drugs, i wouldn't make my friends stop though, it's their life, but they don't have to drag me into it through peer pressure. So the short answer is no, peer pressure has no influence over me whatsoever.
  19. Glad it's all worked out for ya mate! Enjoy! :) Why? Maybe because we're all fairly anonymous, we're unbiased, mature (*cough*mostofus*cough*) and will offer impartial, friendly and useful advice that allow people to come to considered conclusions. That's why.
  20. Miniclip? I don't know, I wouldn't worry too much about it, but i'd send a query to Jagex just to make sure.
  21. I'd go with the mining, not because i'd use it that much but I just find it so incredibly dull to level.
  22. I've never actually tried those games. I'm sure they're good fun, they've just never really appealed to me.
  23. A friend of mine fishes all his sharks there. I don't barrow with sharks though, so wouldn't be much good for me. Nice quiet spot for shark fishing though.
  24. Breathing - Lifehouse
  25. It doesn't take a genius to work that one out :P wahey
