  1. I saw an ABBA tribute band a few years ago, they were really great. The blonde one was hot too ^_^ ABBA were probably one of the best things to come out of Eurovision, as well as Sir Cliff Richard of course 8) Have i got my facts wrong or were they not once offered 1 billions pounds to get back together or something? Not that they needed the money or anything... :P
  2. I believe the ABBA song was "Gimme Gimme (a man of the midnight)" It's actually a pretty good song, it's really grown on me (the Madonna song that is, i've always had my dad playing me ABBA throughout my childhood in the car).
  3. The Red Hot Chili Peppers Guitarist? Pete Townshend, from The Who (incidentaly i've been on his private boat, long story  )
  4. I'm not at all very tall, but 5'10" ain't too bad for a 15 year old. Biggest guy i've ever met? Probably Martin Johnson, the rugby legend, he's about 6'8", and 19 stone, and mostly muscle with it as well. Jesus some of you guys are tall
  5. I'm with you on that one, they are great lyrics. Funny thing is, he wrote that song when he was 22 or younger. :P Wow, he must have had a deep and meaningful childhood :P

  7. Same...but with my ankles... :?
  8. Yup, there was something special about the Millenium Falcon and Darth Vader's hoarse throat that will never be surpassed by any prequel.
  9. but there are some insane bass players. Jaco, Myung, Geddy Lee - It's not an easy instrument to master. You forgot to mention Flea :P But anyway, it depends on how you're going to play it, an electric is probably more versatile and easier to play solo as well as in a band. However electric players are two-a-penny, so bass players are probably more on demand.
  10. Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Despite all the boos and hisses and negative reviews when it came out, i really enjoyed this film, and since it was on again on Wednesday i couldn't resist recording it. I thought the acting from Hayden Christensen was a bit wooden, but good performances from Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman and Samuel L. Jackson. The lead ups to the main trilogy were all there, the subtle hints at the Death Star and the not so subtle hints at why Anakin becomes so angry. But the trump card of all these prequels has been the special effects, used in fight scenes and space-ship chases to a wonderful effect. They really are fantastic, and the lightsabre duels were as spectacular as ever, nice to see Yoda finally do something 8) 8/10
  11. Never really had a slump in my social life, it's just i never really like going "into town" and hanging round, so i tend to stay at home during the holidays or arrange to see friends and do stuff, not just hang around outside shops and stuff. During term time though i'm always busy with school commitments and work and stuff, i work an 8-5 school day (well, it could be 8:30 - 3:55, but i work before and after school) if i'm not busy with after school activities. That's a decent amount of time to be around your friends every day, i don't see the need to constantly meet up in town on the off chance. Actually i'm more of a family orientated guy.
  12. I'm with you on that one, they are great lyrics. My favourite lyrics are Californication, by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Every line has a deep hidden meaning, seperate but all revolving around the same theme.
  13. SO we lose our right/ability to use a phone for private convosation?! The only reason to use a phone over other methords is for privacy. Nope, that right was lost a while ago if you had any suspicious type activity, but the point is it doesn't matter what you talk about over the phone as long as it's not about terrorism, since they simply won't care. They have better things to do than monitor your phones, they'll monitor the phones of people they're watching.
  14. Nah, they were pretty big with songs such as, "We've gotta get out of this place" And i know it's been argued endlessly earlier on, but no way was Roy Orbison a one hit wonder, he's had many popular songs, and if anything i'd say "only the lonely" was his biggest hit. But he's had many more too.
  15. I have iTunes, how would i easily copy the playlist without all the messy times and such?
  16. When i get a bit more free time, i'll check that website out, i've always been interested in programming, but never had the time to really look into it. Thanks!
  17. Depends if it's during school time or i'm on holiday. During an average school week, (mon to sun) roughly 2-3, two being new ones usually, and an old favourite that i love to rewatch. During the school holidays, one day if i'm not doing anything.
  18. ah you've seen wallace and grommit-is it any good? i duno i can be bothered seeing it-(i like friends also 8) ) Try here 8) I went into more detail there, but a quick summary, it was very cleverly funny :)
  19. TV program? Friends Song? Moonriver - Andy Williams Film? Wallace & Gromit and the curse of the Were-rabbit :D :D
  20. PS3 360 Revolution If it went down to the games on offer the 360 would probably win, but methinks the PS3 might have a trick up their sleeve. Hopefully GTA might get their act together, work 24/7 and release the next instalment exclusively on the PS3 when it launches, unlikely though.
  21. Ah, you are so utterly funny! You ever thought of a career as a stand-up comic? Pfft, go * yourself. (Care to give a little more of an in-depth reply as to how a belt buckle makes me a poser? Or are you one of those idiots who posts simply to raise post count?) Chill out dood, he was only having a bit of a laugh, no need to jump on him. But anyway, how big is that thing in proportion to a normal belt buckle?
  22. That doesn't make them any less famous, if anything the opposite. As good as the Eagles are, there's no way in hell that they have ever come close to matching the success of the Beatles, the Beatles were so groundbreaking at their time.
  23. Wallace & Gromit and the Curse of the Were Rabbit Cracking cheese gromit! :D Don't be put off the U certificate (here in the UK anyway), since a lot of the funniest parts would require a more mature mind to get. This was VERY funny, and very cleverly funny, something you don't always see nowadays, i really enjoyed this film, highly recommended for someone wanting to walk out with a big grin on their face.
  24. But this is rare, after the London underground bombing on July 7th, the next day everyone carried on as normal. And even if we did live in fear because of terrorism, this isn't the same as actually "supporting" terrorists. England did carry on as normal, but america didnt I saw on the news Swat teams were deployed all over the place. Even here in Australia in the most remote city in the world we had techtical response teams deployed at our train station. then in england an innocent man was shot by the police. Bonus points for the terrorists I guess... THose of you who say "youve got nothing to hide..." thats stupid I DO have things to hide, Dosent anyone with some sort of life have things they might hide? If you have nothing to hid feel free to email your msn chat logs to [email protected] Hey youve got nothing to hide so prove it. Well, deploying police to vulnerable targets isn't such a bad idea is it really? I mean, prevention is the best cure, so why not have a saftey barrier? And having "something to hide" isn't the same as the something to hide that they could throw you in jail for. We all have secrets, hopefully you won't share yours over the phone anyway.
  25. My deepest sympathies, R.I.P.
