  1. Play a FPS. It helps :P
  2. I guess there are some negatives in being a year ahead of the competition... :-k
  3. Drum bass? You mean double bass drums...screaming? Seems like you're trying to compare MCR to actual metal bands. MCR wishes it was metal, and should not be honored such a comparison. No I don't compare it to that, i'm saying people like screaming and getting headaches just because they want to be special, you really can'y enjoy hearing people constantly screaming, people say it's ahrd, if it's so hard, then why can i do it? Oh Maybe i'll be in a screamo band. Oh drum and bass I like that too. :) ( not many only the fast exiting ones, but most aren't like that ) Sooooooooo...the only people that dislike them are people that like screamo? What's to like about them? Drony, boring vocals and songs, pretty much nothing to the music besides a simple beat and some chords. I'll admit that I haven't listened to many of their songs, but those that I have listened to...well, I didn't want to listen to anymore.
  4. N64, PS1, Gameboy Color, SNES, and a NES in the attic somewhere...hm, but yeah, I get them out once in a while. I lost my Pokemon red and blue several years ago ( :( ), I miss them...but I definitely play the N64 sometimes, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Super Mario 64. No real reason to play my PS1, but I have it anyways O:) I bought the SNES not long back at some pawn shop for $15, so I only have a couple games for it...I didn't realize that all the good ones cost 30-$50 on Amazon and Ebay
  5. would you tell a GTA player to actually carjack? Well, of course. Following the logic of the previous comment, how and why would you think otherwise?
  6. Real guitar FTW. Seriously, I played the first Guitar Hero before I started playing the guitar, and I didn't think playing the guitar would be as much fun because it'd take a long time to learn. But after like 2 months of lessons it's so much fun. (I don't take lessons from a guitar place or anything...my teacher's freakin amazing). But yea. Real guitar > Guitar Hero. Even acoustic.
  7. Good choice. 7 is also good, but I feel that 7 may turn off some people to playing it right when they start. I'm not saying I have anything against the graphics, IMO they're a vital part of the amazing game, but some people might not. 10 has a good storyline, great gameplay and great graphics, even if it's not as good as 7. Of course, you could just buy both. Cost you $30 at the most.
  8. If you haven't played any yet, I recommend 10.
  9. Wouldn't being all-knowing contradict letting people have free will? Does it work like that? If he really was all-knowing, then how can you say that we have free will? :-k
  10. I'm with you Mr. C. Now, we must blow up the house of parliament! And maybe some Windows Vista shipments and stuff...using a train filled with...STAPLES AND EXPLOSIVES! Make sure to play teh 1812 Overture while you're at it.
  11. Alright...did you read my post above? How do you know that not everything in the Bible WAS NOT to be taken seriously? It's God's word, is it not? God is perfect, and therefore his word is perfect, there are no mistakes? If it was not meant to be taken literally would it not tell you not to take it seriously? Or perhaps the Bible is imperfect, and you telling us not to take it literally is just a way to try and fix this? Same thing. You know for sure that Jesus spoke in symbols? I don't think he told us he was talking in symbols...am I missing something? You seem pretty sure of yourself though, so maybe I am. I mean, I'm not trying to start an argument over whether or not the Bible is completely true or not, I'm just saying...what you said doesn't exactly make sense...unless you ARE God. :-k Oh, and I hadn't read this line before I posted, I got a little laugh out of it... Nowhere in the Bible does anyone state this. Not Jesus, not an appostle, not God, no-one from the old testament either. But please, challenge me on it...give me the verse.
  12. This is along the lines of what I was thinking would make it better, such as more cut-scenes like the one with Zack and Cloud if you go into the mansion place where you got Vincent on the 3rd disc. Maybe some extra materias too...mmmmmmmm... =P~
  13. Well, for one thing...do you actually know either of them? Like, do you talk to either or anything like that? If not, then I suggest you do to see which one suits you better. If you have, then choose the one you like best. If you've talked to both and really like them, well...I guess you'll just have to figure it out :x I don't know if anyone here would be able to help you with that one.
  14. This I don't really understand. Are you saying that Christians and non-Christians alike should not take everything in the Bible as 100% fact? It's my understand that the Church teaches the Bible as 100% fact, because it's God's word; God is perfect. Why would the Bible use sybolism if it didn't actually note the use of symbolism? The New Testament was written by the appostles 2000 years ago. How can you be sure that they didn't mean for everything in it to be taken as fact?
  15. PREY! That game's sweet. I haven't played Blue Dragon, but if you say you're into RPG's, you might like it. Music in it was composed by Nobuo Uematsu \
  16. Well then maybe... FF's (besides 12) aren't for you? :?
  17. Sweet, another Duke Nukem 3D fan \ Ok, sooooo.... 1. Final Fantasy VII (PS1) 2. Duke Nukem 3D (PC) 3. Final Fantasy X (PS2) 4. Legend of Zelda: OoT (N64) 5. Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 (PS2)
  18. They're doing it because it's what most of the fans want. I myself would love to see a remake of any of the three FF's for the PS1, especially 7 or 8. I'd love to see a remake for any of the NES or SNES FF's too. I agree that an FF7 remake is over the top a bit, but hey, it's going to make Square-Enix millions. That's why they'd do it. All of this is just speculation of course. Unless they have already been working on it for at least a couple years, I can't see a remake of FF7 coming out any time soon.
  19. A "Christian" (going by what I was taught) is someone who: 1. Believes that Jesus is their savior and that the only way to have eternal salvation is through him. Therefore, they must believe and follow in Jesus. 2. Someone who takes every part of the Bible as fact, and views it as "God's word", thus making it primary rule over their lives (including the principles, morals, and prayers). Everything else you hear about "Christianity" is something that's been added on throughout history, such as traditions like worshipping/praying to the saints (which you touched on earlier saying something about the virgin mary, because many Catholics pray to "saint Mary", when the Bible tells you to pray only to Jesus). I also know that many Christians believe that no matter what you do throughout life, as long as you repent for your sins (through praying), and follow in Jesus, you go to Heaven. Christianity is a very broad subject...I doubt you'll get everything you want to know out of this thread.
  20. Ok, I'll review my favorite FPS of all time: Duke Nukem 3D Story-8/10 OH NOES, Duke's ship got shot down by...Aliens? Yes, and now he's pissed. So, let's see...numerous chapters throughout the game set in different places, indoors and outdoors, and he's loaded with the best weapons a guy like Duke Nukem could ask for. So, he travels through time and space (srsly, space.) to kill all of these aliens and...SPOILER: He kills the mother alien at the end. HOORAY, it's OVER! Or...is it? Well, seeing as Duke Nukem forever's been in production for over 10 years, it might just be over, but we can all hope that it'll come out before the end of 2010. Gameplay-9/10 Although it might not be the MOST original (i.e. it has some DOOM elements to it), at least his gun's not in the middle of the screen, right? Anyways, seeing as how Duke Nukem 3D came out in good ol '96, it's nice being able to have control over where you aim vertically AND horizontally. Many of the weapons (including pistols, shotguns, a shrinkray, a gun that can freeze enemies, pipebombs, tripwire, rocket launchers (or locket raunchers as I used to call them when I was 5 ), duel grenade launchers, and old reliable: the mighty boot) have different functions as you can see, and most are very original and nicely thought up. The game also holds many different items to use, such as jetpacks, scuba diving gear, nightvision goggles, and a spiffy physics engine (looky there, if ya shoot da yellow tanks, dey blow up!). There are also the keycards you have to find throughout many levels, used to open up locked doors with corresponding colors to their cards. Graphics: 7/10 Ok, so maybe they aren't the coolest looking graphics in the world (here's a link to a screenshot:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/7a/Duke_Nukem_3D_Assualt_Trooper.png) , but come on, the game was made in 1996, you can't expect Half-Life 2-like graphics. Even if the graphics aren't a strong point to the game, they really do make it humorous at times. Sound: 10/10 The sound is what completes the greatness of the game. The theme song to the game (titled Grabbag, which I have on my ITunes list :P ) is freaking amazing. The sound effects are excellent, but not even that is the greatest part. Duke's lines throughout the game are hillarious to those who've seen Army of Darkness/Evil Dead, and if you can catch some he makes spoof comments on other movies and games. Originality: 8/10 I couldn't find too many things un-original about this game, seeing as it was made before first person shooters were so popular (except for DOOM, I guess that's what got the genre started, and DN3D is much better than DOOM), it has many original themes, weapons, and gameplay elements to it. A few of the weapons had probably never been done before in a game before its time, and they're the shrinkray, the freezing gun, and tripwires. You've gotta hand it to the guys at 3D Realms, they came up with some pretty sweet ideas for the weapons, the trip wires especially! There's also teleportation throughout maps, swimming, flying with a jetpack, and blowing through parts of walls to get to secret areas with an explosive weapon. But, I've gotta say that the most original part of the game is...the enemies. You've got your Terroristic-walking tiger (seen in the linked screenshot above...you can also find them on the toilet sometimes :anxious: ), your Pig-Cop, your Octa-Brain, and the weird, pooping alien beings. Well yea, that's pretty original. Overall: 9/10 The game's too good to receive anything lower than a 9, and I feel inclined to give it a 10, but there are definitely some drawbacks. Mainly the outdated graphics could be a put-down to many, but seriously, the game is AMAZING. The gameplay is great, the selection of weapons is awesome, and the pooping monsters are hilarious. Along with Duke's repotoir of sayings and, of course, the small task of saving the world, the game will live on as a classic FPS for a long time. As long as Duke Nukem Forever's still in production, that is
  21. rofl guys I can already play La Grange on mah rel giter. And the game needs this song: Rly.
  22. no fake, no lines found out Thanks mr. obvious. Seriously, it isn't very hard to realize sarcasm.
  23. My sister just got a DS so that's my opportunity to buy and play FFIII...it's great, I love it so far. Always Counter Strike Source, and once my new comp. comes...BioShock  Can't wait for it...
