Next-Gen Final Fantasy's....World Maps pls?
You're right, Square Enix is trying to make their Final Fantasy series, including features such as magic, monsters, moogles and chocobos, realistic. I do realize that, but more-so in terms of graphics than features. Plus there is a way to do that and still have the sprawling world map right? I don't like having to choose my destination and be there within the time a loading screen takes, I want to have to walk/ride/fly there. It also seems like there was much more room for extra/secret areas and events when there was a world map rather than places connecting to each other. Didn't note the sarcasm there bubsa...

Next-Gen Final Fantasy's....World Maps pls?
This is exactly what I mean, but: is also what I figure would be best. I don't know, just my opinion that there should be a difference when you're playing an MMO and a regular consol RPG (in terms of the world map). And I agree on the last comment \ .

Next-Gen Final Fantasy's....World Maps pls?
As I'm sure players of the latest Final Fantasy games have noticed, there's a large thing missing from them: a world map. While you may travel from place to place on a straight path without many extra choices of what to do, you don't exactly get to fly an airship, or ride a chocobo, around a large, scaled-down map of the world. While they're certainlly enjoyable games, with plenty of side-quests and extras, you don't get the traditional feeling of the older FF's. My question is that, now that we have the PS3/XB360, with all the extra disc space and power, why can't developers start putting larger, more complex world maps in which you're still able to fly through, instead of these back roads leading from place to place and a completely non-interactive version of transportation? And if they can, then why don't they? I'd be very excited to see an expansive world map that isn't as small compared to your character (like it was in previous FF's and other rpg's) in a game like FFXIII, or any just any rpg that comes out within the next couple of years. So, anyone have any thoughts on this? Maybe I'm missing something here, but I doubt I'm the only one missing the interactive world maps. :anxious:

Which video game character are you?
Who dat? My god, they can't even get the names right. That quiz sucked. And 50 Cent's game absolutely sucked, why would you even take it into consideration?

Optimist or Pessimist? Take the Quiz!
The questions shouldn't even be taken as evidence when you're deciding whether you're optimistic or pessimistic. Seriously man, that isn't the way to go about it. Why even take the test, it won't give you a true answer.

Any classic rock fans out there?
I always find comments like this a bit weird. Well, of course music from the 80s isn't the same as the music from the 60s. You do realize that you're comparing a period of 20 years full of music to 'modern day music', right. And it's not like they only made interesting music in those periods. There's just as much crap in the 60s as there is now. Or do you think those twelve (? maybe thriteen) bands you just mentioned where the only bands that made music in that period of 20 years. Don't you think there would be another let's say 10 bands trying to sound like let's say The Beatles? But they just didn't survive time, because they weren't good enough. Same goes for modern day music; there's a ton of bands trying to sound like Coldplay, but how many of them do you think will be listened to in 20 years time? Exactly. Ok. Why ask "Or do you think those twelve (? maybe thriteen) bands you just mentioned where the only bands that made music in that period of 20 years." that question? I didn't say that was what I thought, nor did I make any comment that would lead anyone to believe that that is what I thought. Of course I don't think they were the only ones making music, I was just stating that the difference in the sound of their music is tremendous... And a band trying to sound like the Beatles but weren't good enough? HA, the Beatles may've written some good songs, but they weren't the world's best musicians. They came along at the right time, with the right sound. I mean, the whole point of my post was to say that if you were to look at some random teenage kid's playlist on Itunes right now, it would have either/or a mix of this: mainstream rap/hip-hop and mainstream punk rock (i.e. Greenday, Fall Out Boy, and other stuff that sounds exactly the same). I won't say that there's no good modern rock, I'm just saying that thorughout the 60's and 70's, there was alot more difference in the sound of it, because they weren't afraid to do something different.

Any classic rock fans out there?
Well then...maybe you just don't know enough bands? I mean, if I were to listen to modern rock, I would get bored within minutes with all the mainstream bands because they all sound exactly the same, and you definitely can't say the same about the bands of the 60's-80's. And yes, you'll find that there are many classic rock fans on these forums, me being one. I've gotta say that I'm not big on the Beatles (although A Day in the Life is one of my favorites) or the Stones, I love the Who and the Allman Brothers Band  . But I like a bunch of bands: Queen, Yes, Deep Purple, Klaatu, Kansas, Boston, Rush, Jethro Tull, Supertramp, ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin, The Doobie Brothers, Chicago...the list goes on. You get the picture.

Harry Potter Encyclopedia
The other one was Quidditch through the ages. I'm probably going to get this too. The epilogue left more questions then answers Yeah like why didn't the girls get a say in naming the kids? #-o Haha, I asked myself the same thing after I read the epilogue the first time. Wow, this book would make me extremely happy, clearing up all the questions would pretty much be the best finish, I hated not knowing what happened to many of the other characters, and especially not knowing if Harry became an Auror or not...also, Harry, Ron and Hermione kinda skipped their last year at Hogwarts...wouldn't that have any impact on their later life?

I Am Currently Forming a Band...
That sounds fine, except it's not the best idea (unless you're just completely screwing around) to form a band with really good friends. Usually if you actually want to go somewhere with it, you'd try to find some good musicians, and not necessarily friends, with the same musical interests. But, from the way you make it sound, you're not trying to really go anywhere with it, so I'll just say good luck 8-) . And my last suggestion would be to play to everyone's interests...the main problem with a band with good friends is that you usually don't want to speak up when someone really sucks, or if the band wants to play a song that you really don't like. Try to have everyone submit a song that they'd like to play, then work on them all. Just what I'd do.

Whats Your Favourite Albums?
I was under the impression that the Eagles' Greatest Hits (one of them, at least :XD:) was the best selling ever, unless you don't consider it an actual album because it's a greatest hits...but anyways (and sorry for not havin pictures, I'm not currently at my own computer...): Queen - Night at the Opera: Well, not much can actualy be said for this album, you pretty much just have to listen to it all the way through. There's diversity in every single song, varying from olde english- type of song to...you know...Bohemian Rhapsody :anxious: . Amazingly written album, Queen at their best. Boston - Boston: Even if you don't like Boston much, you've gotta admit, it deserves a place in "Best album ever". Every song on the album was a hit, and it has to be one of the fastest selling albums ever. It was an amazing start to their career...and also proved to be their end, indirectly. Kansas - Leftoverture: The songs on this album, one of them putting Kansas at the top (Carry on Wayward Son, of course), were brilliantly written, and even more brilliantly played. Also, it produced some of Kansas's best, albeit underrated, songs. Some epic guitar in "The Wall" and "Magnum Opus". Styx - The Grand Illusion: Spawned some of the most popular keyboard...err...riffs? Don't know what word to use for it, but "Fooling Yourself" is the best example. Also, Come Sail Away...another rock anthem. Many others I'd like to mention, but wouldn't exactly qualify as "Best Album Ever". Also, I'd like to mention that the albums I chose, I chose because pretty much ever song on the album is as good, if not better than the last. Honorable mention: Yes - The Yes Album

The all american rejects
I think that they're extremely over-rated, and sound almost exactly as at least 10 other bands out right now. The music's simple, the lyrics have no depth, and joined the band wagon of using political, anti American names, which is just a personal annoyance...that about sums it up for me.

Is your town Compeeting... for the simpsons showing
What's the point of doing this I wonder? It's not clear to people that there's an extremely small chance that they'll actually reveal the town that they live in? Unless there was some huge public announcement I missed where they said they would reveal it, I'd say they won't. Seriously, after 20 years, I think that if they were going to they would've by now. I'd say the best chance to learn what town it is is to watch the last episode of the show, whenever it comes out in the next 100 years, and there would still be an extremely small chance they would reveal it. My guess is that any mention of their real town in the movie would be at the very end, and Homer would say something like "I'm so glad we live in the town of Springfield..." and then the credits roll, or something like that. Go ahead and dream though, if you'd like  .

THE BEATLES FOR LIFE!!
Yea... Well, I've never been much of a Beatles fan, imo there's much, much better bands out there. But, I do like some of their songs. My three favorites I guess would be: A Day In the Life Hey Jude Come Together Oh, and that's great that you're 11 and listening to them! Do you want a cookie or a medal? :-s Come on kid, every 11 year old that wants to look "cool" wears a Beatles shirt.

I'm getting ps2 tomorow! Uh, help me out?
Rofl, are you kidding me? You must be joking. Unless I'm taking that a little more literally than you intended, I'd say that's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Did you actually play Runescape, or did you just find this forum by chance? Because from the way you're talking, you're one of those kids that calls the kids in school that actually play Runescape geeks, nerds, and other names...just my opinion though. Mostly because the kids that make fun of me for playing the games I do pretty much say "ZOMG Madden whatever the hell the year it is is the best game everzzzzz!!!" Either that or HALO!, god forbid. Err...sorry, just my little rant. Got kinda annoyed.

How do you want to affect the world?
Seeing as I'm not sure what I want to do yet, right now I have to main roads to take: -Create some sweet music that alot of people like. -Create some sweet videogames that alot of people like. Two very different paths, but each appeal to me...so, I'm not exactly sure how I'll impact the world yet. But it'll be big, and not just contained to the people I know. Although, I do want to have kids and a family, and hopefully impact their world :) .
