  1. I also find it interesting how selective their hearing is (the ninja team in particular). I really didn't see that many people complaining about having an option to pay a very large amount of reaper points for a pet, yet they changed it to make it more 'prestigious'. Literally thousands of people complained about including Vorago and Rots in the reaper title requirement, and yet they ignored the feedback. I think it would be better to have a mechanic you can buy a random pet with reaper points, but it will only give ones that you have killed more a certain amount of (say 20-50+). That way you have a more guaranteed way of getting ones for the bosses you have killed , but at the same time you wouldn't be able to get a Nex pet if you'd never killed it. That would keep the more prestigious pets rarer.
  2. Seems pretty empty to me given neither the task set nor dominion tower will have needed any graphics or audio budget.
  3. The fact that its 2013 means we really can't read too much into it. A lot has changed in the last 12 months, especially updates to the original EOC like revolution and Legacy which have helped people get back into the game. The introduction of iron man mode should also have provided with them with an ample extra amount of income. Things have also stabilized a bit more with their micro transaction content now that everyones used to it- there has been a heck of a lot of it in recent months. But the problem with this is they will soon reach saturation point where every skill outfit and bonus will already have been released (not to mention wing designs) and therefore surely the only direction things can go from MT revenue is down. As others have said, investment in Transformers will also have completely have skewed the figures for a few years (especially this years financials that we probably wont see for another year) , as its taken lots of investment for near zero return. That said I've still yet to see anything to prove that Transformers isn't going to completely flop. When the Beta was released I saw quite a lot of marketing, such as sponsored emails from Paypal about it, making it seem like a finished product. This was very dangerous because I am sure many people did the same as I did....tried the beta on launch day, did the tutorial but then couldn't get into a game and was stuck in the lobby, and now have never touched it since due to initial bad experience. Inviting a big audience in for a beta is very dangerous as it risks putting people off the game permanently. Judging from the fact that less than 1 million people have registered for it so far, TU reddit is desolate and all reviews have been mediocre I get the impression it is going to be the biggest waste of money they have ever had. The fact that they have recently supposed to have made redundant a sizable amount of the TU staff http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2014-11-10-jagex-confirms-possible-layoffs also suggests how much in flux their costs are at the moments. It is also noted that there was quite a large influx of the standard bad reviews on the Jagex glassdoor from Sept-November (possibly due some due to the above lay offs). These all said the same thing the Jagex reviews always say: upper management is rudderless and does not know what they are doing.
  4. I never interpretted the poll as directly meeting the gods in any of the options. To me it meant a quest in which we learnt a lot about one particular god for the specific 3 options. Or learn a little about them all in the research quest. So yes its strange to me them saying we chose not to meet a god.
  5. I hope it works, because Jagex really needs to get some success outside of Runescape. From what I can judge, Transformers really doesn't seem to be doing so well so far, though it does seem to be stuck in perpetual Beta, or has it been properly released yet already? I really can't tell as when they first they released the Beta they marketed it a hell of a lot as if it was already a finished product and not a demo. My big concern is they seem hell bent on copying the flavours of the moment, just tweaking them slightly currently: Transformers- trying to get in on the MOBA marketChronicle-repackaging Hearthstone Block N Load-seems to be ripping off Minecraft far more than makes me comfortableThis lack of innovation and desperation to get a 'Twitch hit' seems to be their Achilles heel.
  6. They seemed to have ignored half of the important questions and answered a bunch of silly questions instead. I don't feel they really properly addressed anything except saying they'll 'look into a few things'.
  7. How many summoning flasks have you got with you? I went through a silly amount like 10-12 so the titan was continually speccing the whole 10 minutes
  8. So has the rate at which you get recipes been increased now? Is there an estimated drop rate currently compared to the previous 1/360ish ?
  9. Wow, there really are quite a few bitter people about the moss being nerfed, I can't believe they can't see it as a good thing. To me , it was their choice to insist on grinding a req that was so clearly too much. You were just asking for trouble grinding out like 20m+xp in a week. I finished my shadow cores this morning, I think the drop rate seems to have been buffed a bit compared to earleir this week.
  10. So from listening to the latest podcast it seems we won't be getting these tweaks anytime soon. Osborne basically said that the staff are all very busy with POP2 and the 200th quest right now and therefore cant focus on fixing the city until they are done, and to expect a big update addressing issues later on. i know the podcast was recorded Tuesday/Wednesday ish ,but he seemed painfully unaware of the issues: he seemed to think that everyone loved and was using the cleansing crystals for example. The only problems he seemed to think were big issues were the 20k agility cap and that the reason people were annoyed at the thieving changes was because skills like DG and agility don't easily lend themselves to items to pickpocket. I really hope that since it was recorded they have made some more critical observations. Apparently he is going to compile a list of things they plan to change soon and put that on the forums.
  11. Really at the moment the problem does not lay with the content itself, its the fact that the balancing is absolutely atrocious. I want to do many of these activities, but the numbers are just ridiculous The divination part is so clearly broken due to how uncommon the shadow cores are, it genuinely seems like no one ever tested it. Not to mention how surprisingly strong the monsters are. The thieving was previously fine-1-2m gp/hr was not game breaking at all. Again, what mod thought single divination energies and cups of tea were okay as drops. For the amount of effort taken to grow it moss should reward several thousand xp per harvest, not the pitiful current amount. As for the prayer training method I found it really amusing that in the Q&A last week when asked about the rates, the developers commented that the poor cost and xp rates wouldn't matter because people would do it so they could socialize due to it being more afk. Have they even met the current community, or played the game. Cost and xp rate trump everything. I really hope they stick to what they boast about most: listening to us. But I fear we'll be fobbed off with an excuse again. Has anyone listened to the latest podcast to see if it addressed anything?
  12. It made me laugh the amount of cash people were offering on the hlf for people with team cards to take them. It was just asking to be leached really.
  13. Are they not cheaper/very close in value as you only need to add supers to get 2 more doses of overload. (I've not done any calcs yet)
  14. Question: do supreme overloads boost you again every 15 seconds like normal overloads. Or are they just a 16%+4 initial boost that slowly drops? I.e. can they be used with sara brews?
  15. I used to be really annoyed when I didn't get comp back straight away, but now I have just accepted its probably going to take a month or 2 to get it back now. I'm fine just using Avas alerter at Araxxor instead of comp ,and at least the teles still work on the comp cape even if you can't equip it. Don't get me wrong I'm really not very happy at the prospect of the emote, moss, or implings, but I don't want to make it completely ruin my experience of the city by forcibly grinding it I really enjoyed my first evening in the city and focused on the smaller tasks, like mining the sandstone, getting the crystals and music, starting on the shadow cores, a few agility laps. A bit of everything. I also got nice and lucky and received a recipe from the motherlode maw :) I also did 250 crystal dust AFK when I was doing other things, and while its slow I do not think its unbearably slow. Its something good to just leave your character doing when you have other tasks to do and I'm sure I'll be able to upgrade my hatchet in a week or two. One comment I would make is the drop rate of the cores from the divination area seems way to low to even consider being worthwhile as an alternative form of divination.
  16. Okay, thanks for clarifying that. Its still strange to set the 200 then though.
  17. Well that itself speaks volumes, it seems obvious to me there should have been about a 50-50 split. Don't get me wrong I think some of them are perfectly reasonable and I look forward to trying all the content out (can't wait to get home from work currently). However it is clear that some of them are unreasonably grindy/RNG dependent. Why was it needed to both get the journals from the agility course and do 200 laps for example?
  18. It's more frustrating because there was so much feedback saying they were too much after the first one, and the same has just been repeated again. So given you have a 5% chance of getting moss with a perfect farming juju, has anyone seen confirmation anywhere that those farmed that way count towards the 200. Because that will make it a heck of a lot faster!
  19. Can people please report how many moss they harvest when they finish a harmony pillar. All i've read so far is that you get 1-5 and id like to know how common it is to get 5. Even if you get 5 every time, for the 'of the Meilr' title requirement of getting 200 moss thats like 8m xp you need to get which seems quite an overkill!
  20. Can anyone give any more information on this?
  21. Out of interest, are there still people pking by edgeville on the legacy only pk worlds?
  22. Do you think their opinion may be 'the elf quest and city was going to be the 200th quest, we've already delivered these, therefore the 200th quest doesn't have to be that big a deal.'?
  23. Seems fair to me, and was the system I had hoped for. However I did like the idea made on reddit of needing to sacrifice items for some of them-like full bandos or armadyl armour for the GWD pets. It is a good opportunity for an item sink that isn't too prohibitively costly, but good help add at least a little value to drops again. I also think that 2-3 x the price of hydrix isn't really that high, 5 times hydrix would still be okay by me to keep them prestigious.
  24. Its a double edged sword , whilst the full budget quests they have released in the past year have been some of the best they've ever released...Missing Presumed Death, Fate of the Gods, Death of Chivalry. The cut scenes and immersion in those quests have been previously unheard of in quests of old. It comes at the price of requiring months worth of graphics and artist budget which they seemingly don't have, which is a great shame. My personal cynical frustration is that they seem to be continually hiring more and more 'community managers' and video makers etc to talk about the development of the game, when I'd far rather they just spent the money on people with art and programming skills to actually make the game and let it do the talking itself!
