Alright I'm getting a P4 Hyperthreading 3ghz system with 512mb (256 x2) RAM and 200 gb hard drive from my uncle fairly cheap (been needing an upgrade for a while, this 300 mhz laptop isn't cuttin it :P) and he found a VAIO desktop on ubid.com for me. Of course this will be used for storing my pictures, and doing a lotta school-related stuff with it, and burning, but of course... I have to play games on it! I haven't really had a taste of these newfangled advanced games like battlefield 2 you kids have now :P (getting Microsoft pinball to run smoothly on my laptop was like an act of god :lol: ) Only problem is the VAIO comes with integrated graphics, and if I want to play some of these higher end games, I'm gonna need a card I know. Now, I've read that the newest Nvidia card owns all, but of course with a $600 price tag I can't afford it. So what would you folks reccomend, I guess I'll want games like Battlefield 2 (I cant wait to play that one!) or Rome Total war or something. Also, what games do you guys recommend for a higher end system. I'm a big fan of RTS and FPS (age of empires II, Army men: World War for teh win) Basic question summary: 1. What good RTS and FPS are out there that you've played, and would you recommend any and, 2. What graphics card can smoothly run even Battlefield 2, or what do you guys recommend(I can handle about $100-$200 budget for a graphics card)

Meh, I heard that having 2x 512 sticks runs a tad faster than just having 1 gb stick of RAM, and I've never had any problems with my RAM breaking :?

What like a 2000 allience v 1000npcs and 1000 horde in the biggest town in WoW? more like thousands of players sieging a castle full of thousands of players. so, much much bigger. :) Lol, gotta think of the server strain :shock: Rs tries to do this with castle wars...however, far from what you describe ;)

Merchants would just buy up all his scimitars at 5k ea then re-sell at normal market value of 25-30k or so. The idea would never work. Besides, rune ore sells for what, 12k ea? And scims take 2 bars so he would be making a huge loss per scimitar sold.

Trollheim has a magic teleport, and gnome tree has the glider you can take from a lumbridge telly->>walk to al kharid glider->>I can be in gnome city in under 30 seconds if I need to get there. The new elf city is best city update in a long time and has a teleport.

Me too. Even though I saw A LOT of complaints on different fan forums, I enjoyed playing as the enemy for once. It was a very unexpected change of pace, but it was nice seeing the Cov's perspective of things and how they work ;)

I'd like a better death animation made, although I can body hump by using the current animation + standing over the dead player and burying a bone on top of the body that's fell over. The current ones fine :cry:

Rune javelins are an EXPENDABLE ITEM. If you do not know what that means, you use it a few times then IT GOES AWAY FOREVER. Rune daggers are NOT EXPENDABLE, and sell for at least 5k gp.

If a monster is a lower level...It just swipes across them once. Higher leveled monsters will get swiped twice if you spec.

Heh, it didn't :) I actually got this fairly powerful baby from my workplace. They were going out of business and since I knew the owner pretty well he let me have it with all the accessories for just $150 ( :shock: ) Unfortunately, no software/CD-roms were included and I upgraded to Windows XP from Windows 95, all other programs and information were wiped and I think that a few of the drivers I currently need got wiped as well. However, I have not had much trouble with the laptop, and I just need to download/update the drivers. Thanks for your advice, I guess I will search the toshiba site a bit more closely then.

Hi! I need to know a safe site that I can download the following drivers for my system (Pentium II Toshiba Portege 7020CT laptop, Windows XP Prof. Edition). I tried searching the main Toshiba site but it lists a bunch of downloadable files and I do not know what I need. Other sites I visit list the updates I need but make me pay to download them (not gonna happen). I also tried going into control panel then selecting driver updates from there but it says it cannot find the necessary software. I have also tried going to windowsupdate.com to see what it could find there, but no driver updates availible! :? Modems -TOSHIBA Internal V.90 Modem Sound, video and game controllers -ESS Maestro2E PCI AudioDrive (WDM) IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers -Intel® 82371AB/EB PCI Bus Master IDE Controller Universal Serial Bus controllers -Intel® 82371AB/EB PCI to USB Universal Host Controller It says I need driver updates for all of those. BTW I got my driver updating list from http://drivershq.com , if that matters.

Or you could buy it off Ebay for $10 :wink: People will try to sell those codes on Ebay, like they did with the subway free 6-inch sandwich stamps, which made my card that I had been saving my stamps on invalid :evil:
