  1. Did that, showed you, you were like 'I don't know'. So don't get all high and mighty with me Sonny Jim and respect your elders dagnamit!
  2. Yup, jokes. Now can we drop it.
  3. Sufficing to say that it was annoying and you refused to stop.
  4. If you are gonna launch into an arguement about having a relationship, which neither of you want to do, and are annoying everyone...then kicking you both from the chat seems reasonable...if you then come back and continue the same conversation then banning is reasonable. On top of that session was over.
  5. <_< Steam, when compatibility matters....
  6. /join #space40 tavern http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12603519/Space/Logs/%23space40.Tip.It.log Starting in an hour, but it is up now.
  7. I think the riddle has played itself out...it is neither mathematical or intellectually interesting any more.
  8. OH! Its 4...or 5 with the gift.
  9. Ok... 12 Children is known. 1 Frog times the 12 children is 12. 24 things so far. Then 2 worms times the 24 things, which is 48. So 72 things now. Then 2 flies times the 48 worms, which is 96. So 168 things then. Then 1 gift, is 169. Or is it 12 children, 1 frog, 26 worms and 52 flies. So 91, or 92 with the gift.
  10. 253, since there is a gift as well. Considering the level of ineptitude by the song writer I wouldn't be suprised if the answer was negative one.
  11. Well, having gone backwards and forth over EU3 and Steam, I am concluding that it is Steam or nothing for me.
  12. The song has terrible grammer... The frog, which is not only singular, but definative...it is THE frog, specifically one. Two worms time them both Two flies time the worms Anyway: 18 1*18 2*36 2*72 = 252
  13. So the worms time the children? Or is it times? As in multiply...
  14. Correct spelling and grammer would make the puzzle solvable... Answering the questions posed would as well. Also, there are 12 children, with 1 gift, hence 13. Alternatively there is nothing in the pot.
  15. Are the children clothed, and if so, do we count the clothes? Also, if one of them sheds skin/hair/mucus/other bodily fluids, inside the pot, do they add to the total number of things? Also, are the children in the pot? Also, is 'has a gift' a child or a phrase indicating the last child had a gift. Is the gift in the pot? Do the children have the frogs and such with them? I guess 12, 13, 14.
  16. Sufficing to say that 25 is the age requirement for serving on the Unity. Alternatively a 15 year old who had 10 years of accelerated growth, and lived one year in some sort of 10 to 1 mental stimulation chamber.
  17. Psht, amature, on my IQ test it said 999, though it was only a 3 digit display so it may be rounded down. On a more serious note, 89 to 180, generally sticking around 119 with the proper tests.
  18. A blind squirrel rarely finds nuts...hence why they die and you don't see many of them. However, that does not preclude the possiblity of a blind squirrel finding a nut or two, and thus surviving. Retech, has, repetedly, compared two numbers and worked out which was larger, yet, recently, failed. Retech may have never failed to compare two numbers before, yet it happened...Therefore it is possible for something which hasn't happened, to happen... THEREFORE, either, you have been insanely lucky(which is unlikely, since you know many things), or you have not been unlucky in the past...Afterall, many squirrels die despite their perfect eyesight. My point is that holding up a test as proof of intelligence is a flawed concept...it is a proof that you know what the test asked you and you got correct...nothing more.
  19. Right...so we are testing speed by what has already been learnt? Isn't that like working out the top speed of a car based on where it has gone in its life time...Partically accurate, fast cars more likely not to have gone cross country, but ultimately flawed... Russian Proverb: Even a blind squirrel finds nuts sometimes. The opposite is also true, as Retech recently proved with his 700>708. Just because something has happened before doesn't make it certain that it will always happen...All we can do is make an accessment of probablity that it will happen again...
  20. Or is proof of the lousiness of the test....
  21. Although intelligence is an arbitrary measure of numerous factors anyway, so regardless of test it is fairly inaccurate. Someone with an IQ to 200 is likely to know more than someone with an IQ of 80...Yet person with an IQ of 200 would likely be pretty useless at pig farming(for instance), whereas, if that IQ 80 person was an expert pig farmer, then the more 'intelligent', in the task of rearing pigs, is the pig farmer. You can replace pig farming with just about anything... Kinda like taking a sample of air, then basing your entire understanding on the planet on the most abundant molecule... Somewhat accurate when talking about plants, Nitrogen is an important part of their survival...for humans it is fairly unimportant and any conclusions drawn are gonna be inaccurate.
  22. Ingame you are older, simply because I don't live in Japan, or subscribe to the idea that anyone less than 20 would be capable of serving onboard a space ship, let alone functioning as an officer.
