 Its hardly twisting when you are responding to something I said...
-
You were called a moron. No, Archi called me a moron. It's okay, I'm used to it. Everybody opens their big fat mouth instead of their intelligent cautious one once in a while. Some people just do so more than others. Actually Archi commented that Stork, being intelligent, opened his mouth to make an intelligent observation, and was, in the process, player owned by Resistance by demanding proof of the reasoned concept alluded to. Which, I found, proof, in and of itself, of the concept. As demonstrated here.

That and knowing when to keep your mouth shut. Seriously, there have been so many "intelligent" people who got pwned because they couldn't shut up. Could you go more indepth with that statement pleasse? Uhh... indepth how? Give an example. Example is as follows: Kinda self fulfilling...or Ironic, or some such...

Doing something three times is usually enough. Insanity doesn't mean ignoring facts, it means ignoring opinions.
-
The distance between Insanity and Genius is measured only by success: Hegemony proves we are, at the very least, insane, so we are half way there! In terms of genius...Einstein was horrific at maths, Newton spent 30 years working on Alchemy, and Archimedes stole his ideas from ancient Babylon. Their achievements were not given to them on a plate, they were carefully worked out, over years...in many instances there was some random moment...The Bathtub, The Apple and WW2, which gave these ordinary people a leg up to greatness. We can, therefore, say that Genius is something that occurs...an idea or a way of thinking that advances the world/our own lives...It is not something that someone is or is not. The true measure of Intelligence is not in making sure everyone knows how brilliant you are, but in adding to your own knowledge...and you do this by quietly observing, by thinking and discussing...if you are intelligent then people will recognize it on their own.

I have a feeling he's either changing the topic or setting us up for a very epic pun. That's what she said! *Groans at bad joke*

Shall we stop insulting each other?

Retech: You were quitting irregardless.
-
No. I will post tell Ross/You when it is...
-
You were quiting regardless... My Standard Operating Procedure is to destroy player countries if they quit...Same way Dusty did in Napoleonic Hegemony. The other alternatives are to make it NPC, which, in the context of the game means someone annexs them in 4 days. Or to go with the original Hegemony type solution and give the country to someone else. Sure.

*rolls eyes* You say that about every game that didn't give you unlimited growth...economically(Japan) or biologically(Licht). I think I said that you were convinced of their invisibility, and linked to various sites showing how America, your country, builds weapons that are scripted for success...ergo if they want a plane that is un-shootdownable, they place a dozen AA guns on the ground, leave them unloaded, fly the plane passed and tick the box. The unguarded borders  Hidden is a relative term...The were somewhere, and they were found. That was true. You forgot the part where you were quitting the game. Check, longish recharge with lowish ammo. (Say 4 shots(2 lethal) per minute) Can still notice the guy holding the laser... Or any moderately advanced scanner. Cool. Check Reasonably happy with that. Nah, stun needs a clear firing point for 5 seconds...Needs to cause the muscles to spasm without causing the heart to give up. Alternative is stun that only takes 1 shot, but has a 25% chance of killing them anyway. Can you check through all the other weapons as well.
-
Well, for instance: -Laser: --Penetrate. *It won't penetrate most things. --Superheat. *It will take a long time if you have a low power laser. --Bloom *Would need to be longer pulses...or continuous fire ---Electrify: *Lasers can't Electrify people, you would need to electrify the bloom, which would require an emitter. Also if you miss with a capacitor it would take a reasonable while to recharge the weapon...Though the weapon would have a .25 second delay so it is more a point and click weapon... Power source or battery? At 10,000,000,000 Volts you are looking at a large powersource, or a large number of coils. Doesn't really fit in your hand. Though not impossible. ----Stun. *The target will keep moving, and waving the gun about trying to keep it targetted will create a cloud of electricity. So you could get someone if they were stationary, but if they were running or something then you are only gonna pulse them once...Kinda like an EMP for Humans. ----Lethal. *Would be far easier than stunning...since you only need to hit the target with a single massive shot. So what I am saying is go through and check how you would deal with the various problems. I don't want any hard science calculations, I just want to know how you are doing what you want done.
-
They were just examples, if you could go through and check everything that would be brilliant. Then I will do the cost analysis
-
Which jobs? Assuming you have a reasonable small laser in the EG: A very high power small laser is better if you want an anti-tank weapon. A high power small laser is better if you want to blow someone's arm off. A low power small laser is better if you want to spray an area with shots. A very low small power laser is better if you want to fire wide area shots. An extremely low power laser is better if you want to stealth kill someone at point blank range. Or a variable power laser if you want to do a range of things for a less reliable, less powerful, more expensive...but more versatile weapon. Grav weapons require an emitter. Would be interesting to start a new hegemony from that point =P

Costs would probably be dependant on what you were using...for the SB its kinda the difference between a carbon fibre assimilator probe, or a stainless steel hypodermic needle. I would set yourself a target of two months. I tend to go with the rule of 9s...Aka 9 people will potentially play. Usually because a someone does something which wrecks the game. Like zerging someone, or they don't trust the mod not to let someone have a super powered weapon, so quit. Player led game wrecks are unresolvable and are just hazards of the game. Mod respect failures are pretty much measures of how good a mod you are.
-
Then it would be plasma proof.
-
SB is fine. EG isn't plasma proof, but otherwise seems fine.

... Isn't that the same defination as the Taxman? Sportmates...Other drivers? Friends... Its kinda the foundation of society to assume other people are not gonna screw with your life. Love is what you feel, not what someone else thinks. ...it is also individual to everyone, you can't compare what one person thinks is love to what someone else thinks is love.
-
Isn't that a majorly illogical position to take? That these things happen without cause? Half expecting you to begin talking about Cupid or something....Or magic. As for your second point... How can I claim that, because I am not willing to commit genocide, that I don't love a person? Because I am not an idiot? Every person has their own sense of morality, and love does not 'conquer all'... Then what is Love?
-
Psht, that is rather a shallow view. Love is explicable - The wish to pass on genes. Love is logical - Protect those who have desirable genes, and those who perform desirable functions(Saving your life, sex, whatever). Basic biological imperative, which computers don't have because they aren't programmed to have it.

http://www.autograph-math.com/ Its pretty good, though is only a 30 day trial. Its very good, used to have it at school.
-
The Man is a Human
-
A human can love...
-
...HERETIC!
-
Anything a computer can do a human can do, given enough time... Since a computer is merely capable of flicking a very large number of switches, very quickly, and using binary to do math.
