Yes, that isn't a circular arguement.... Trade routes are something to do and act as a visual reminder to Retech to give us Economy...instead of leaving me with the same budget for 7 resets, despite Tunisia and various trade routes...

Vague things that I have no idea of.... And sure, the med is basically under Cretian-Byzantian control so...

Definative Map [hide][/hide] (Has Norway and Frances Castle and my trade routes) Counter peace proposal: Spain gives up Gibraltar to Crete. Spain pays Kiev 20 million. Take it or leave it.

Fleet engages in Spanish Ship Hunting, 3/4rds are deployed off the Spanish Coast and are instructed to fire on anything that moves.

Nah, there is a skill called perception, which is passive, which detects things like smell.

A typo on doesn't? Anyway, last post on the matter (since Retech ultimately decides things not us). Spain is maybe 30 years behind Crete, which isn't that long in History....Look at the Soviet Union.

I don't know....Crete has advanced technology, Spain doesn't....The parallels are definately there.

Ye Olde Hegemony
I am not sure thats how technology works...I am pretty sure the Aztecs didn't see the Spainyards and advance to the contemporary modern era when they saw cannons.

Oh, ok. My bad. I guess my Thunder Rays are the ship of the era then.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Hampton_Roads Doesn't destroy the other ship in 'a second' but destroys two contemporary battleships while sustaining minimal damage itself...and would doubtlessly be able to destroy many more battleships. Which was the only thing I claimed they were able to do.

Hehe, neutral trading power usually end up continant spanning empires =P Hegemony is a game like no other, nothing can prepare you for it.

Well, you just chose a country and get started, really  Talking to Retech first though may be a good idea though, as he has a lot of tips that will stop you getting swallowed up by a hungry Empire builder =P

Just saying that Retech is not my puppet, he has free will and decides things on his own....Dusty seems to think that I write the battle reports...

Earth, you are not the middle man, you are someone who has walked into the middle of a battle field and tried to stop the two sides going at it....All you have to do is not post. Dusty will moan/whine and sometimes rightfully complain that I am being an idiot. I will post long winded posts because I am good at it, and because eventually people get tired of reading what they don't understand and give up. Addressing your point, if you charge a horse into a group of people the weight of each body you trample will slow the horse down and the stabs through the horse will kill it....Thus a kill ratio of 5 to 1...or even 10 to 1 even their less than perfect condition, would be fair....60 to 1, with no causualites for the side that is numerically inferior is overpowered.
-
Ye Olde Hegemony
And you whine until people give in. Shock, we play to our strengths. And yes, 500 people can take down 30,000 people without a single casuality without it being overpowered...No wait, that is the defination of something being overpowered...1 of your soliders = 60 of mine.

Naval battles rarely last more than a day....Rarely more than a few hours. Sieges, on the other hand, tend to take significantly longer. Also, I didn't stick A super weapon on a boat...I stuck a technology on a boat. Also, since apparently Dusty has 500 Knights which can ride through a force that is 30,000 strong and not take a single casuality....I would say that you are looking at the wrong overpowered side....

Ye Olde Hegemony
We also have armies of 40 thousand people that can travel 2-300 miles in a day with 5 minutes of preperation...so I would say that the speed factor is a moderator thing....I was envisaging the combat taking place of a week or two, not a battle of less than a day.
-
Ye Olde Hegemony
True, apart from the bit about the moderator being an idiot.
