? 500 Billion would be...25% percent of the budget, so would be .(emphasise this point)5 Infrastructure While Iran would gain 100 Billion 50%(1 trillion) would gain Iran 200 Billion and America would gain 1 point of infrastructure. So it would probably only take one or two decades for the smaller countries to catch up with the larger countries...but the richer countries control the rate at which the poorer countries grow...So they get an advantage as well.

Adventures in Dungeoneering
[hide=Tale the Zeroeth] It had been a long road, getting from there to here, it had been a long time, but his time was finally near. He could feel the change in the wind right then, nothing in his way, and their not gonna hold him down no more, no their not gonna hold him down. Cause he has Godhood, he's going where the power takes him. He's got power, to destroy, he can do anything. He's got buns, made of steel, and no one's gonna bend or break them. He can reach any stars. He's got Godness "I've got God, God of the world!!!" Archimage had been humming to herself after hearing the catchy new Star Truk theme tune, but had now broken out into song, and if the tavern door hadn't gone would have probably started dancing too. "Let me through, I am a vet, where is the strangled cat?" "Thanks Retech, no, its just me." "Oh hi, things good with you?" "I am feeling a bit bored actually." "Hegemony getting you down?" "It just feels so futile..." "You know what you need?" "What?" "A Time Machine. Jagex is bound to bring out a new skill for Runescape some time and it would be so awesome if we created a game with the same name but months before they brought it out." "Yeah, and we could use the same basic principle of gameplay too!" "Sounds like an awesome plan." "And I have been looking to test out my time machine....I was thinking about looking to see what new tech would be out next month, then start researching a day before everyone else." "LOL" "Did you just LOL out loud?" "No....anyway, I have to go invade Japan" " " "How did you manage to use a smilely out loud! "That is the magic of Archimage" With that a blinding light flashes across the room, huge pillers of flame erupt out of nowhere, a swarm of locusts decend from the sky, the ground opens into a massive pit of brimstone, and Archi reaches across with a mallet and knocks Retech out. *Some time later* "Dammit Arch, can't you just say goodbye like normal people!" [/hide]

Adventures in Dungeoneering
-Lock- I was thinking that it was going to be the story version of Dungeoneering...retelling the epic tale of Dungeoneering with advanced story telling techniques...like adjectives, creativity and description. Pictures would be fun too

Doom it is one of those things which people get the wrong end of the stick, the person who said originally isn't there and an arguement blows up because no one can be bothered to look up the post from 500 pages ago. Also, not everyone is as in line with my version of reasonable as you are. And now for something completely different: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjeqRHdBwkY&feature=related

http://users.aber.ac.uk/lug9/hege/hegemony/wonders.txt For anyone who is interested. If anyone wants to add it to the Hegemony wiki they are more than welcome. Anyone who wants to design me a site, they are also, more than welcome. Images would be nice.

meguy is shot by the Argentian army, Argentenia parades around with his/her head and Brazil surrenders. Yup. Well, the increase by 5 thing has already been explained by Retech, so hopefully that is not a problem now. I have been thinking about what you said though and can suggest a fix...Aid Missions. They increase the infrastructure by twice that of spend on infrastructure for the 'mother country' and give the 'son' country gains in 20% of whatever that amount is, directly to its IAG. So America spending 10% of the budget(200 Billion) on aid missions to Iran would mean: America gains .2 Infrastructure Iran gains 40 Billion in IAG. The condition to the aid missions is that the 'son' country cannot increase grow beyond half its 'mother' country's IAG and still be on aid missions. That would provide an incentive for large countries to improve small countries, without small countries being god modded to power to balance out the rich countries. I do sympathise with you Ross, the wonder system could have been handled differently...But the intention of the system was to siphon off the massive excess budgets people had, prevent things like Doom's 'In a few years I can cure all diseases' research projects which are over powered but no one says anything because its quite useful, and give people a way to improve their countries, without allowing people to do, as in the last game, build things like the Basal Dam. Very well, 2,129 words, needed between 2000 and 2500 so  You asked a question about the Azimov Brain...I am gonna add a wonders Txt file to the Hege directory

Sounds good to me, but it should be an opt in thing and outcomes are my decision.

Thats true, though small countries could negotiate their support in various projects in exchange for the mother countries support in other projects. Well I won't publish any other wonders for a while, but what do you suggest, since alot of people have said that they want more ways to gain money, rather than just infrastructure...
-
Hegemony
Not especially, small countries just need to ally themselves to a large country.... Kind of like Children with their Mother... It seems like a fairly sensible system to me... The children grow stronger until they are ready to strike out on their own. If Rich countries didn't have an advantage then it sort of defeats the point of picking them though

I know. But I think it means that if they send stratos bombers to bomb the hell out of my cities, people will die, but my infrastructure will be safe, right? Yes. Basically.

Green technology, just to point out, only works against infrastructure bombing...it does not make you immune from bombing, defacto...

Egypt Vs Chad and Eritea Eritea failed to mount a successful defence and got owned pretty early on. 10,000 casualities Chad mounted a more effective defence, but thier 60,000 strong defence couldn't hold Egypt back indefinately. They were able to slow them down though, killing 40,000 Egyptians. Total cost of the attack: 54,008,000,000 Treasury: 62,845,000,000 Infrastructure: .5

Yeah, they could. But since time and money are seperated(you could complete a wonder and then just have to pay the money on it) it wouldn't be sensible. Only with K-Net and the Matter gates, me thinks.
