I know, just the way he said it...and people on this thread take issue with everything which they can't instantly understand...and seem to be afraid of Books, Wikipedia and search engines.

Doesn't that sort of imply that it is landlocked... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Gambia

Egypt Invades Libya Under the cover of daylight the mass of 250,000 soliders began marching across the desert into Libya, along with a battery of 100 tanks. That was when things started to go wrong. Due to a logistics mix up the fuel supplies ran out after just five hours. The commander decided it was best to abandon the tanks with a contingent of 1,000 guards. The slower pace of advance allowed the Libyans to marshal their airforce and commence bombing runs of the troops as they advanced, decimating their numbers and eventually forcing them into a retreat. On their arrival back at the border they were met by the Great and Powerful 'Rocco' who told them to get back in there like the Marines were, to which they did. The attack began again about a day later, after Libya had run several bombing raids on Egyptian cities and massing to re-take the Western city from the Marine assault. Meanwhile the navy had been relentlessly shelling the other city in the North. The, now, 80,000 strong force of Egyptian soliders advanced with their tanks this time, engaging the might of some 120,000 Libyan Soliders, who rebuffed the attack completely, killing another 50,000. In the West the 100,000 strong Marine Landing went off without such hitches, quickly overpowering the city guards who had been stripped bare to raise the army to fight the invasion in the East, before continuing south to, as one person put it 'Finish the Job the Army Couldn't Do', taking control of the southern city as well. However the line is overstreched, and the Libyan Army is sill 60,000 strong. The liberators held off numerous attacks from the Libyans, losing some 50,000 overall. Total Cost of Egyptian Attack: 36,500,000,000 Treasury: 33,308,000,000 Infrastructure: 0.7 Infrastructure of Libya: 0.4 [hide][/hide]

Because if it was then war could be offset quite easily...You could get invaded, lose most of your territory, then use your IAG to buy back your Infrastructure, meaning you had a smaller country with the same budget.

Its kind of the same thing. Leaning Tower of Pisa Leaning Cylindrical Building of Pisa...

Nah, its a wonder, one of a kind.. Like the Pyramids...you can build hundreds of thousands of copies, but only 'The Pyramids' are 'The Pyramids'.

Can I make it more understandable? No. It is there in the most basic terms imaginable, how you can fail to understand it is entirely beyond me. And yes, it obvouisly is, all you have done is rearrange what I said so that it is in the past tense. To make it so incredibly easy here is an example: First Decade: I start with 100 pounds and I have an infrastructure of 1. I invest 100 pounds into infrastructure(100%) Second Decade: I start with 100 pounds and I have an infrastructure of 2. I invest 100 pounds into infrastructure(100%) Third Decade: I start with 101 pounds and I have an infrastructure of 3. I invest 101 pounds into infrastructure(100%) Forth Decade: I start with 103.02 pounds and I have an infrastructure of 4. I invest 103.02 pounds into Infrastructure(100%) Fifth Decade: I start with 106.1106 pounds and I have an infrastructure of 5. I invest 106.1106 pounds into infrastructure(100%) Sixth Decade: I start with 111.41613 pounds and I have an infrastructure of 6. I invest 111.41613 pounds into infrastructure(100%) Seventh Decade: I start with 118.1010978 pounds and I have an infrastructure of 7. I invest 118.1010978 pounds into into infrastructure(100%) See how very simple that is... It is not envisaged as the 'Only way' to increase IAG but it provides a stable basis to fall back on if everything else falls apart. Considering how low the actual cost of operating an army is, and how low every other cost in this game is, what is the point of having a budget of 3 trillion...when most of the time you struggle to spend 1 trillion... With a IAG of exactly 2 Trillion and a Infrastructure of exactly 1, your IAG for the next decade(23rd to the 3rd) will be 2 Trillion....2 Trillion * 1.00(100%)

Ok. X= Current IAG Y= Current Infrastructure Z= Percent of IAG spent on Infrastructure, where 100% is equal to 1 If Infrastructure is over 1 then add 100, this is a percentage. If Infrastructure is less than 1 then times 100, this is a percentage. X*Y= Next Decades IAG Y+Z= Next Decades Infrastructure I think that is basically what it is.

You could always do a flyby...or take some satalite images or something...you know...ask me. If we go with 'Real life' then armies don't ever change.

Yes...the idea is that people compete though, not one person forges ahead with 20 wonders or something.

Basically, it costs a hell of a lot more and gives a bonus to researching. Giving 1 free years worth of research ever 5 years.

Invasion of Turkey and Morroco. Hex posted some stuff....We instituted a 'Wonder' system, which means that occationally there will be some great 'Wonder' which gives the builder a special advantage. Thats about it.

Italy-Morroco War Italy invades with an Amphibious force in the north of Morroco. Morrocan forces quickly encircle the attackers and force them back into the sea. 2,000 are captured. Morroco demand 40 billion in compensation to end the war. A secondary attack in the other end of the country makes limited progress, establishing a beach-head but is under constant artilary fire. Italian Cost of Attack: 5,400,000,000 Treasury: 1,069,363,000,000 Infrastructure: 1

Dusty won a war by killing 7 people and then Albania celebrated Greece liberating them, so worked extra hard.

Just a note to people the 'Grand University' gives the city that builds it a boost to all research projects. Its a 1 of a kind building, like a Civ wonder. Anyone can start it, but the first person to finish gets all the benefits. Building as a team is recommended, since teams can help each other with other wonders, when they come up.

Dusty lost the .1 he gained earlier. Since most of the fighting took place between Instanbul and the Greek city(due to amassed forces there) there was little damage to infrastructure.

Greece-Russia invades Turkey. Greece attacked with a force of 540,000 in the south, making an amphibious landing and 80,000 in the north, trying to take Istanbul. The attack intially looked like it would succeed, with the naval landings being completed without any resistance, and meeting only light resistance in the south. However the Northern attack met a force of some 300,000 troops, and was ambushed as they attempted to retreat, decimating the army entirely, around 100,000 troops then advanced into Greece and took control of the first city they came to before feeling the pinch of supply lines. The Russian landings told much the same tale, with no real resistance being felt. Greece Cost of Attack: 55,800,000,000 Treasury: 56,258,000,000 Infrastructure: 1 Russian Cost of Attack: 28,216,000,000 Treasury: 231,493,000,000 Infrastructure: 1
