  1. Actually it was me going 'You know what would be good, if Bulgaria took Turkey and then Dusty took Bulgaria. We could skip death and destruction. ' Bulgaria tries to be helpful and instead gets drawn into a war it doesn't want. Ah well, as is life. And the annex process is non-transferable, though you get all the money you spent annexing back, if you spent any, obvouisly. Well there arn't any 'In Greece' so that was fast. Check the map.
  2. Annexure has been cancelled. See map for details. Battle plan lost when the site went down a second ago. Basically couldn't cross the Bospherous and the new defensive line, backed up with the Bulgarian Military, held against the attack. Turkey torched the Greek City, so it will seriously damage your Infrastructure if you retake it. Or you can raze it, lose the city but keep infrastructure almost the same.
  3. O...k So you had a population of just over 8 million, no where near 3 trillion... Why on Earth did you try to justify having a population of 3 trillion if you only have 8 million? Its this kind of time waste that just unnecessarily annoys people.
  4. 4,000,000
  5. How the flip does 2 five percent wage increases amount to 4 million a year...
  6. Indeed, and strengthens my point that the economy was in a total mess.
  7. http://forum.tip.it/topic/247660-tipit-hegemony-v2-ended-2200/page__view__findpost__p__3948733 [hide] Usually the growth rate of population is 2% per year. 2 percent of 750,000,000 is 1,450,000 thus you are overproducing in houses. Assuming people marry and house-share you are looking at even more of an overproduction... or you are looking at a long term housing shortage which you are only slowly filling... so that figure also needs to decrease to about 1/4 of what it is. You have also not addressed the fact that humans can only afford the apartments, and so townhouses and such will be completely undersold, so all of them need to decrease too. Also you don't factor human growth rate, so there are always the same number of humans, compared with the Jaffa and Goa'uld Also, that is over 4 years, and there is a population increase of 14,002,000 but a housing increase of 24,620,000. Thus, unless 10 million people brought two or more houses.... Not factoring people dying and giving up their homes, people getting married and moving in together, the number who are children and not able to own their own home.... It also doesn't take into account the number of houses being demolished, but we can be sure that that will not offset the other factors. Taking the average death rate, 1.8, we assume that 1,320,280 old houses come up for sale. We assume that approximately 2/5ths house share(or rather 4/5ths but 2/5ths are removed from the calculation.) Assuming that 18 is the age they move out that is near 33% (2% for 18 years, minus a bit for population being lower to start with) or 22,004,667 people cannot have their own house. Thus we assume that only 25,085,320 houses are needed TOTAL, not per year. (Or in this case per 4 years) So unless you are demolishing all house built over 4 years ago your figures don't add up. Though adding Human growth might alter these in some way it is important to notice that Humans can only afford apartments. [/hide] Apparently. Also 2.5 trillion(mid point) divided by 4 is 625,000,000,000. Earth has a land mass of 148,940,000...so thats 297,880,000 total. There there are 2,099 households per kilometer. 2 houses per meter...Which is fairly obvouis when you think that there are 8,393 people living per kilometer if you have 2,500,000,000,000 people in 297,880,000 square kilometers.
  8. Also, 3,000,000,000,000 divided by 1,020,144,000,000 equals approximately 3 people per meter...if it was 3 trillion. About 2 people per meter if it was 2 trillion. Thats ignoring water, btw. If it was Land sized... 3,000,000,000,000 divided by 297,880,000,000 is 10 people per meter. Hex-Added to the last bit...people don't understand GDP...paying everyone 4 million a year does not mean you get 2 million a year as tax and that equals the same as everyone else's money. [hide]Basically the key to your economy is a massive amount of humans, which, if you increase their wages you increase their net profit for you(Since apparently you don't pay the wages and if you did you would be bankrupt in 1 year unless you slapped a 98% tax on Humans, a 99% tax on Jaffa and 40% tax on Goa'uld...At which point you would make a profit of 2,021,847,850,000. Which is more than you would get(under your system) if you cancelled tax and wages all together. Under this system you would make a 13,466,247,850,000 profit if you cancelled both...Though realistically that wouldn't happen.) Anyway you can effectively set your own income by changing how much you pay humans, all the other factors amount to 19,004,847,850,000... When you compare that to humans 4,284,000,000,000,000 the actual point of including the others becomes questionable. [/hide]
  9. Right...That would cancel Grim's spending out. *Dies of Laughter* The ONLY reason GDP worked was that everyone did their own thing. Mather had a couple of thousand people living on postage stamps(relative size) and taxing them more than they were being paid with no ill effects. He then tried to build 20 underwater city out of 5 billion Dollars...5 Billion Dollars won't even buy you a wooden shell to cover half a kilometer, let alone the Reinforced Glass, Titanium, Concrete megamix he was proposing. Retech had his GDP doubling every 25 years. Gaining hundreds of billions ever year...far faster than he could actually spend it. Sere tried to crash GDP repeated times, which everyone ignored. I did away with GDP because it was totally ridiculous, seeing as I could do just about anything regardless of what my GDP actually was. But was Critised for 'not paying my people' when no one paid their people... Dusty never played with a spreadsheet, so commonsense says that his GDP was estimated at best. All of these 'Math problems' are the result of moderation...rather than just relying on people being reasonable, which the game is ill concieved for...since being reasonable while everyone around you is unreasonable leads to you getting seven kinds of tuesday kicked out of you. It seems unlikely. There are 70 Million people living in the country and less than a million in most cities. Unless you happened to be travelling past my house and stuck your head through my window, since there is probably a months worth of time I spent in public places(outside of school), it is unlikely we have ever seen each other. So the chances are pretty slim. Possible, yes, but improbable.
  10. Doesn't really matter. Bulgaria declares war on Greece and reinforces Turkish Soliders.
  11. X(4-9) = 5 (3x-2) 4x-9x = 15x-10 -5x = 15x-10 10-5x=15x 2-x=3x 2-.5=1.5 x=.5
  12. It has been a little while, they have rebuilt.
  13. Suprisingly it will, since you haven't bombed/shelled the crap out of the other city. It will rise to .6 or .65 if you are lucky. Other Option is to waste the Libyan city you just captured, would take you up to .7 or 7.5 if you got lucky with the invasion.
  14. Turkey-Greece-Russian War Russian Forces have overrun the city to the East without many casualties. Bulgarian forces in the West have crossed the national boundries and have declared a protectorate over the Turkish city of Istanbul and (smaller than before) surrounding territory, but refuse to accept the Greek city as part of the Protectorate. The Turkish have signalled their williness to withdraw and are prepared to stand down if Greece is. Total Russian Cost: 18,000,000,000 Treasury: 213,493,000,000 Morroccan Conflict After bitter fighting involving a break out in the south, bombing of troops all over the country and an amphibious assault in the north and West...Morrocco has surrendered to France. Italy lost 80,000 troops, France lost 45,000. Total French Cost: 26,648,000,000 Treasury: 1,269,741,000,000 Infrastructure: 0.9 Total Italian Cost: 7,300,000,000 Treasury: 1,062,063,000,000 Infrastructure: 0.95 (involved in a foreign war that killed your people but got you nothing...people are unhappy) Egypt-Libya Conflict Libya aircraft strafted Egyptian shipping trying to bring supplies to the second front, killing some 30,000 troops in transport. In a dash of daring do the Libyan army smashed through the Egyptian lines outside of the North City, only days after the Egyptians had reinforced their position to the south of the breakthrough. Thus trapping a large force in the Southern sector. However Egypt proceeded to open up a second line of supply across the south of the country. In the north, though, things still looked bleak, with the Northern city Commander retreating from the city as it looked like the Libyans would encircle it, starving them out. Only days later did reinforcements from the newly resupplied south arrive, finding a city that had been captured. It was at this point that Egypt launched their attack on the Libyan Capital. The 100,000 strong army broke the thin 2,000 man defence and captured the city with ease. The Libyan army has thus set up a line across the North West of the country and is looking for neighbouring Tunisia(Italy) to help resist the Egyptian Aggression. Total Cost for Egypt: 18,000,000,000 Treasury: 51,808,000,000 Infrastructure: 0.55
  15. I am pretending I don't have to do it so I can stay up later than I should to watch a DVD... Ok. How many troops do you have in defence Dusty? and Roughly where?
  16. It will be this year, but I won't do it for a while.
  17. Like I said, cancel to the lowest you can...since you can't cancel to 2...
  18. -4.16666666666666666666666666666667* -5.25 = 21.874999999999999999999999999997 175/8= 21.875 I would have -25/6 and -21/4 -25*-21 = 525 6*4 = 24 So 525/24 Then cancel to lowest denominator possible. 525/2 doesn't give a whole number so use 3. 525/3 =175 24/3 = 8 Done. A pathetically complicated way of doing simple maths..
  19. Linking being the operative word. So that things have a total value, which is then divided equally between all the cities...So losing A city means losing X amount of Infrastructure. Similar to the way IAG is worked out in your system. I don't know, still thinking about it.
  20. Yeah, that works fine, but breaking up a player country has mildly screwed the system, so we need a slight rethink. Only Hex could do this....
  21. Yeah, if you use the troops already deployed it doesn't cost anything either.
  22. Yeah, you get its IAG if you conquer it fully, or some denomination if you don't.
  23. Well it would be linking cities and Infrastructure together somehow, so if you expanded too fast your infrastructure would shrink.
  24. I am thinking of linking Infrastructure to cities. I don't want to scare people with details so I will keep a lid on it, pm me if you are curious though, I could use a sounding board.
  25. You can. I am still thinking about Infrastructure, I am more and more convinced that it should be different...
