  1. Handful of Infrastructure Wonders Wonder: Green Revolution Time: 20 years Bonus: Makes you immune from bombing against infrastructure bombing, cyber warfare or similar. Cost: 4 Trillion Speeding up: Each country that gets involved will subtract 1 years from the project. Each one 500 billion sum paid towards it will take 1 year off the time remaining. Notes: Cannot be used with Nuclear Revolution Wonder: Nuclear Revolution Time: 10 years Bonus: Trebles Infrastructure growth. If the city this wonder is based in is invaded it will self destruct. This only applies to invasions. Cost: 8 Trillion Speeding up: Each one 500 billion sum paid towards it will take 1 year off the time remaining. Notes: Cannot be used with Green Revolution Wonder: Bullet Trains Time: 15 years Bonus: Adds 5 to infrastructure, one time Cost: 3 Trillion Speeding up: Each one 500 billion sum paid towards it will take 1 year off the time remaining. Notes: Wonder: The Underground Time: 30 years Bonus: +20% IAG, one time. Cost: 8 Trillion Speeding up: Each country that gets involved will subtract 1 years from the project. Notes: Wonder: The Weather Paradigm Time: 50 years Bonus: Doubles Infrastructure growth Cost: 1 Trillion Speeding up: Each country that gets involved will subtract 5 years from the project. Notes: Wonder: Matter Gates Time: 100 years Bonus: Doubles Infrastructure, one time. Provides five times infrastructure development. Cost: 8 Trillion Speeding up: Each country that gets involved will subtract 1 years from the project. Notes: Allows building of Matter Gates(in cities) for all players, which cost 500 billion each and provide .5 Infrastructure each, destroying them removes 1 infrastructure each. Anyone with a matter gate can travel to any other matter gate, which means invasion without travel. Only works in Earth or in Orbit of Earth. Wonder: Space Elevator Time: 70 years Bonus: 70% reduction is spaceship costs. Cost: 30 Trillion Speeding up: Each country that gets involved will subtract 5 years from the project. Each one 1 trillion sum paid towards it will take 1 year off the time remaining. Notes: Must be built near the equator Wonder: K-Net Time: 160 years Bonus: Provides five times infrastructure development and allows colonisation of the Atomsphere. -50% spaceship costs. Cost: 80 Trillion Speeding up: Each country that gets involved will subtract 10 years from the project. Each one 1 trillion sum paid towards it will take 1 year off the time remaining. Owning the Space Elevator will halve the time. Notes: Allows drop pods to land anywhere on the planet. Must have 8 cities, at least three must be on different continents. Can build the elevators in allied countries, with agreement, they will recieve all the bonuses as well. This project is based in space, so is not based in a city, thus attacks on the project must be directed towards space. On completion Kent is created as a 'Free' City. Other Space Stations can then be built for a cost of 10 trillion each. Description: The K-Net is a series of 8 Space Elevators, along with a central Space Station, known as Kent.
  2. 300 thousand....
  3. Kirby it seems fine, but looks like signficant case of over kill... Something like that coming onto the battlefield will just be targetted by everything...Will probably cost around 300,000 to deploy.
  4. "There is nothing more important to me than [social problem]" Pressing matter override. The name/class safeguard seems sensible, though tedious. So its alright to steal part of his domain, but not ok to steal part of his domain...And what about doing harm to his political image or something such as that? The problem with defacto statements is that they are generalisations, either they apply in all circumstances or they apply in none. Query: Does saving the leader from death override saving the nation? Answer: Yes Conclusion: If Leader is kidnapped and kidnappers demand that the country is sterlised before he is released then proceed to sterlise the nation. Further, by killing a small number of humans, say the army, scientists and politians...it would be possible to prevent wars and thus would be the best outcome for the nation. To be honest your rules have glaring holes in because they try to specify using abstract terms... like 'harm', 'nation', 'best', 'domain', 'whatever'.... My rules are simply better.
  5. Yes...Then Grim, Sere, RPG, and possibly Retech and Doom had a 'word' with them. Basically saying 'If you don't surrender we will bomb the crap out of your country then enslave your people.' Obvouisly Luxembourg wasn't that scary, neither was Belgium....But then Britian, Norway, France, Germany and Italy, The USA and Canada got in on the act and it got scary, so the countries folded to avoid getting annhilated then annexed. If you ever surround a country and have a superiority in numbers then you can force them to surrender. Its there. The one way to acheive AIs. Rather than a research project or something. 1. As long as it never sees a TV speech you are fine. 2. And the Wife/Husband dies while hogging the quilt in bed. Not to mention the opposition party, comedians on TV who make fun of the government and anyone with an opinion. 3. "Despite its Three Laws programming, as VIKI's artificial intelligence evolved, so too did its interpretation of the laws. VIKI decided that in order to protect humanity as a whole "some humans must be sacrificed and some freedoms must be surrendered", as "you charge us with your safekeeping, yet you wage wars and toxify your earth". " The perfect laws are probably: 1. A robot must obey any orders given to it by human beings which have been authorised by The Azimov Brain. 2. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm, except where this would conflict with the First Law. 3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
  6. The Netherlands and Denmark Surrender against a combined 'Euro' taskforce. Quite why Europe has declared war on these two states is unknown, our political co-sponondant told us it was something to do with Germany and 1939...Could this be the pin number of the German Chancellor's bank account, which the Danish stole in order to force Germany to kick France out of the union so that Belgium can declare independance and annex France in 20 years time? Who knows, but Luxumbourg has annexed the low countries and The Commonwealth has annexed Denmark.
  7. Don't see why it wouldn't be allowed... If you said 'Infinate Rules' then all rules under that would be under rule 1...
  8. Sigh...then you design a missile that would, knock out your lasers with the EMP and then nuke your country.
  9. Then it is ineffective because you just blew the bomb up...showering your country with an EM Pulse. Meaning your lasers are now offline and I am free to nuke your country.
  10. Ross its a 200 year wonder and costs at least 50 trillion. Its not like people are facing the end of days... Also disadvantage inspires progress.
  11. Black paint absorbs light....So doesn't reflect it, and it is reflection with causes the movement... 'For every action there is opposed an equal reaction'
  12. Yeah. But the country that owns it sets the 3 rules.
  13. Wonder announcement: Wonder: Azimov's Brain Time: 200 years Bonus: Allows creation of Androids capable of learning at 200 times the speed of humans, stronger and faster too. Cost: 50 Trillion Speeding up: Each country that gets involved will subtract 5 years from the project. Each 1 Trillion sum paid towards it will take 1 year off the time remaining. Notes: The creation of Androids gives you the chance to 'Hard Wire' them with 3 Rules, which they must obey at all times, regardless of who creates them. Researching a way round this takes 20 years, after they have been created. Androids will cost 60,000 per deployment, and 2,000,000 to build. Description: Azimov's Brain is system of file storage akin to human brain storage. The androids are thus endowed as humans in every way, except they are faster, stronger and can take more of a beating.
  14. It was stopped I think. I did shoot up some spectators though, which was pretty bad. So you are firing a laser, which has virtually no force, at a missile which could defeat this with a coat of black paint, hoping to generate at least 10 kilograms of force per second to counteract gravity. Yeah, that seems like a possible goal.
  15. Great...instead of a missile blowing up an airbase you just blew up a hospital. Righous ownage... Sigh... Which one of us is moderator? Hooking a laser up to a radar is a foolish idea. As was shown with the Divid Gun...
  16. This is why we don't let you near math... Trajectory and speed are still necessary, since working out where the missile is sort of helps...And since it is pulsed... Anywho. 'Energy to blow up a missile at 10 kilometers' says massive energy consumption...
  17. Yeah, that will probably let you intercept a couple of missiles. Let me run the figures.
  18. Now you just have to solve the power(Inverse Square Law for the win) and targetting problem. No
  19. I was thinking...what about some sort of White-Blood Cell type defence. Fire a missile up which then explodes into a large net made of a heavy duty metal. Inertia carries it skyward(towards the missile...hopefully) and when it hits the missile it either explodes the missile or wraps round it then detonates...or deploys a second stage booster system.
  20. Sigh...We get further and further away from realism. 'You know what we need...Some sort of bomb disposal team firing airplane...' Anywho, hitting a missile or a bomb...would be like hitting a grain of sand in a car's headlight at 5 miles with a colt and western revolver.
  21. As things stand no one has a defence in place to counteract them. And obvouisly there are multiple types of bombs and such...
  22. Depends, blowing the snot out of a city without much chance of retaliation(since it is a stealthy kind of attack) is pretty awesome.
  23. The same as it is. If you want to work out what a third of Libia's 2000 GDP was, then add it to your current IAG, then I don't mind adding it.
  24. Yeah, new rule, if I haven't responded to something for two or three days I reserve the right to just whitewash it.
  25. Agreed. The last game was OP.
