Ico, Switzerland regularly ignores the UN so it seems unlikely that the UN would have any more ability to stop Switzerland...considering Switzerland is far in advance of the UN Space program. Also, you seem to forget that Switzerland only has about 9 million people living in it...of which about 3 million are children...We are also surrounded on all sides...and have only invaded one place in the last 800 years, and that place was only because Japan was set to annex it. Also Orbital Weapons are not allowed by the UN...hence why I am not building a weapon, I am building an aircraft carrier...which is not a weapon.

Well, Retech, since my planes are based on Physics, not just randomly inventing crap because someone else has it and I don't understand it, your planes would probably take 10-20 years...since you have no idea what the P-Jet actually is... Also Japan doesn't have any of the original materials, such as the expertise in miniaturisation, to speed the construction of the Engine...So, realistically, you are looking at 10 odd years for the development of the grossly inefficent engine, another five to minaturise it, another three(since you now have some expertise) to refine the design to something that is flight worthy, then probably two years to get to where I am now....

Ok, justifer on that...No real power, beyond what they had as normal UN members. Switzerland would consider providing air cover(ie 100% of our air core, as well as 100% of our navy) for a permentant seat of the security council...I think we all know that my aircraft are current, by far, the best. One condition though, only Swiss Pilots are allowed to fly Swiss Aircraft.

I don't think that non-permenant members of the SC actually have any real power at all...Its more minority pandering...Anyway, re-election of states is coming up....

Maybe a requirement of being on the security council is to deploy upto 30% of your standing army to the UN should it be decided to be necessary. Failure to do so, for any reason, results in immediate explusion from the Security Council...
