The way we use sound in the free and members' worlds gets its well deserved update this week with the inclusion of Area Sounds. These ambient effects add a new level of immersion into our game world, with waterfalls growing louder as you walk towards them, trees with birds and animal sounds in them, bubbling fountains, wind whistling through the mountains, the sound of the sea lapping against the shore and mysterious howls haunting the peaks of the Wilderness. It really does add a new dimension to the game. As well as new ambient sounds, you'll also notice you can hear a lot more of what other people are doing around you, especially when they're fighting. We hope you enjoy them as much as we have enjoyed developing them. In other news... Along with the area sounds, interface updates and new tutors, we've been busily improving existing features of the game. This week: Adventurers who have defeated the terrible Iban and obtained his staff may use its new right-click option to check how many charges it has. Don't forget - it takes one charge to cast Iban Blast on a monster but two to cast it on another player. Baby dragons have now shrunk slightly to solve the problem where their heads rendered incorrectly when they leant forwards. This doesn't affect their stats. Rune and Adamant boots now have a +2 and +1 strength bonus respectively. The random junk you occasionally found in chests and crates around the world has now been removed. Allright guys, heres the deal. Im 99 mage, ive killed jad with magic, killed the kq solo with magic. And would very much like to join the DHT. One problem though, I will not be wearing guthans as I will be using blood spells 100% of the time in ahrims or a mystic/rockshell mix. I have past DK experience soloing rex. Think I can come along? Here is a step by sep breakdown of the alching of a yew longbow: Step 1 - Oh noez! This is where you put the yew longbows into notes. At this point the banker hands you 1000 yew longbows and secretly sticks a tiny little wizard into your pocket. Step 2 - Pomg! This is where you take out the 1k nature runes out of your bank. At this point the little wizard in your pocket secretly takes out a calculator while you arent looking. Step 3 - Safer!1111shift! This is the part where Your mouse opens the magic menu, the yew longbows engage alching mode, and the wizard takes out the calculator ready to calculate...stuff Step 4 - Daddy would you like some sausage? This is where you click "high alchemy" The yew longbow you cast it on is stolen by the little wizard in your pocket, he then uses his "moolah" spell to spawn 768 Gp. Step 5 - Eat your wheaties! At this point you have 768 gp in your invy and 1 less mage longbow, but secretly, the little wizard in your pocket has stolen your nature rune and your yew longbow, little do you know that the money he gives you is worthless to him :-$ But don't tell anyone
