  1. I advise NEVER to trade in "gold charm" pouches for shards. They are made with very few shards, so the shard return (75% or so?) is miniscule. Our Summoning Table (link can be found on the Skill Guides menu page) has complete info for each pouch. It takes a few seconds to load because it fetches the latest prices for the seconds and pouches directly from the Jagex GE website pages. Level 52 Spirit terrorbird Charm Colour Gold Seconds Raw bird meat Seconds at GE 263 <-- current price when viewed Number of Shards 12 Shard cost 300 Pouch exp 68.4 Total Cost 563 GE Pouch 343 <-- current price when viewed High Alch 434 Shard Trade-in Value (gp) 225 Trade-in Skill Level 58 Scroll Trade-in 12.5 I never use TB either (I'm 77 agility) but most of the high level players I know do, and they love it. Just an FYI.
  2. Thanks to everyone who has posted. Special thanks to DaDieselDude for his proof pics, they are SO helpful! To help us keep track of what's been done, I'm closing this topic now. However, feel free to start a new topic ANYTIME you have a drop - posting here in the forums is the best way for us to know it's really you. :)
  3. Thanks pat, the cleaned pic looks good. Unfortunately we can't use transparent PNGs on the website - IE6 currently doesn't support them. In order to support IE6 users, we use transparent GIFs. I was surprised to find that we *had* a pic of daggie guardian, but it got hidden by accident: http://www.tip.it/runescape/mon2/Dagannoth_Guardian.gif However yours looks better to me (HD vs SD). If you have time to re-do it, that would be great.
  4. (Gatorzzzz) And anyone who enjoys making images transparent, or optimising image filesizes, or mapping stuff in Runescape - please feel free to contribute in the Website Updates and Corrections forum. The Tip.It website Crew always needs help with images and mapping, and we keep our eyes on helpful people!!
  5. I've updated the list removing two more levels researched, so only five are still needed! 83, 86, 87, 89, 96
  6. We are missing attack types (melee, mage, range, or combo) for just a handful of monsters. Dark Energy Core level 75 (at Corporeal Beast) - need examine and attack type (melee, mage, range, or combo) (done) Icthlarin's Little Helper - there are four 'demi-gods' that can be evoked in the northwest room: Apmeken, Crondis, Het and Scabaras. Just need attack type (melee, mage, range, or combo) for each. Locust Rider (Lancer) level 68 - this monster supposedly has 20 HP. Need picture, examine, location, attack type (melee, mage, range, or combo), and any additional information you might find. May be a quest monster. Mage Arena miniquest (one time only) - Kolodion -5- (level 112 demon form) - need picture, examine and attack type (melee, range, mage, or combo) Merlin's Crystal quest - Thrantax the Mighty (level 92) - only appears if you do not chant properly - need attack type (melee, range, mage, or combo) Shilo Village quest boss Nazastarool - three forms, fought in Rashiliyia's tomb - need pics, examine, attack type (melee, mage, range, or combo) Spirit of Summer, post-quest ring adventure - Ghost (level 79) in Forgotten Cemetery - just need attack type (melee, mage, range, or combo) Tarn's Lair miniquest (one time only) -Tarn Razorlor level 69 two forms - need attack type(s) (melee, range, mage, or combo) Player-Owned House dungeon monsters - these cost a great deal (prices shown below) so ... just ask a friend who has one. We ONLY need the attack type (melee, range, mage, or combo) for each: Huge Spider -POH- 200k Troll -POH- 1M Tok-Xil -POH- 5M Dagannoth -POH- 7.5M
  7. Thanks to Le_Fay and the contributors to this guide, we have posted animated GIFs of almost pet type/colour in the Summoning Guide. http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?page=draft_summoning_guide.htm#pet Credits have been added per Le_Fay's top post. You guys rock!! We are still missing inventory pics for the many grown monkeys ... if you have one, or more, please post here!
  8. I sincerely understand your point. Our figures were given by Jagex when the farming skill was released. However, there are unexplained factors that affect the growing time (in addition to possible sickness/healing by the attending farmer, which loses a growing cycle.)] Jagex has actually REMOVED their growing times from their website, doubtless due to the number of questions or complaints concerning them. We have kept ours, but only as a guideline - they cannot be expected to be precise. Above each table, our guide states: "The times are still shown here to serve as a guideline ONLY." Thanks, though, for wanting to give us more accurate information. If you find other inaccuracies on our site, be sure to post in this forum.
  9. Congrats on your achievement! I hope to be there!
  10. The value of harvesting seeds from MTK doesn't seem to exist. Since the studies on it were done long ago, when Royal Trouble first came out, and the market has changed since then, perhaps it is worthwhile. As speedyshel said above, we would need you or a group of people who would like to collect farming supplies from their kingdom, and provide a distribution "spread" of resulting seeds, such as the ones currently shown in the guide for herbs and tree seeds. Please start a new topic if you wish to submit data you collect. With a sufficient sample (many collections over many days of Kingdom), we would welcome the info and would be happy to add it to the guide. For now I'm going to lock this topic, as there's been no other info or debate.
  11. My initial idea (not committed to it, just a possiblity to throw out there) would be to put an abbreviation in front of the prey name (to try to keep it tidy). We'd need a key at the bottom of the page to explain them. Here's a proposed list: - Tracking - [WAND] - Bird Hunting [bIRD] - Butterfly Catching [bNET] - Deadfall Traps [DEADF] - Box Traps [bOX] - Flushing [WEASEL] - Net Traps [FNET] - Pitfalls [PIT] - Falconry [FALCON] - Imp Boxes [iMP] Again this is only one possibility, others ideas are more than welcome. Or perhaps you may think we shouldn't do this at all. I myself chose to train up to red chins based on the highest level I could do, except for razorbacks which took too long. Please post opinions!!
  12. Please post any corrections to the wilderness map here. Thanks.
  13. We have a some pictures in the items database that were improperly cropped, or were not made transparent, or were not converted from png (or hidden jpg) to gif. If you want to help out, here are the pictures, feel free to post a cleaned up, 40x40 transparent GIF of it. We will load it and credit you. http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Ram_skull_helm%28e%29.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Raven_egg.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Red_ele_blouse.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Red_ele_legs.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Red_ele_shirt.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Red_ele_skirt.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Red_monkey.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Research_notes.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/To-do_list.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Torags_body_0.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Torags_hammers_0.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Torags_helm_0.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Torags_legs_0.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Translated_notes.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Toy_doll.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Toy_doll_-Wound-.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Toy_mouse_-Wound-.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Undead_chicken.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Undead_twigs.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Veracs_brassard.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Veracs_flail_0.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/White_ele_blouse.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/White_ele_skirt.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/White_logs.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/item2/Willow_comp_bow.png These are only the pics from T to Z, +R, more will be posted. 14. Separate topic identifies multi-combat boundary issues. http://forum.tip.it/topic/249182-confirmed-wilderness-map-error/ Probably needs some crew research to march along the boundaries and see where they are now (unless a user would like to post that info here, in pictures.)
  15. This was added to Chaos Tunnels map somewhere along the way, but was omitted from Hunt for Surok miniquest guide. I've added it there and credited hyjack and Siobhana. Thanks everyone.
  16. A crewbie tested this and was unable to bring anything combat-related into the tomb. He tried crafting and fletching and combat bracelet. Getting a weapon off zombies seemed to be a good idea at first, but with the limitations and my character level at the time, the HP I lost getting one was more than the weapon saved me when attacking. They only drop very weak items.

I was lucky, I inherited my mother's dry skin. Over a lifetime I get maybe one a month. The "t-zone" (forehead, nose and chin) are the most frequent areas for everyone. There is a hierarchy of sorts for treating acne: 1. Daily or twice daily (or whatever) face washing. Usually people who complain have already tried this with no success, or course. 2. Over the counter spot treatments such as clearasil. Only treats after the fact. No point in it for someone who is getting more than one or two at a time. 3. Zinc oxide 5% soap bar. (just like your regular face/body body soap.) You can buy this off the shelf at places like Wal-Mart. At ours it was stocked in the ladies face treatments/makeup section, as opposed to the normal soap and shampoo aisles. Cost less than $5. Guess what? the above bar contains the highest LEGAL amount of that ingredient, the ONLY one approved by the FDA for treating acne, that can be sold over the counter. And what does Proactiv contain? The same ingredient. For 3-10x the cost. I'd guess that it's the most cost-effective over the counter treatment for someone with back acne - rub a washcloth with it and apply. 4. However, some people get a lot of benefit from the Proactiv treatment. If it works for you, go for it. Be sure to use the lotion if you are experiencing dry skin. Now we get into doctors and medical solutions: 5. Antibiotic treatment - usually tetracycline, requires staying out of the sun, for several months. This is because a bacteria under the skin may be the cause. 6. An "acid wash" treatment. No idea what this does, but it used to be the next phase. Applied nightly. Don't know if they still do this but I bet they do. 7. Retin-A. This anti-wrinkle cream helps some people with acne. Not sure which acne conditions get the most benefit from it. 8. Heavy medications, like accutane. This causes severe birth defects so females are required to take pregnancy tests, even if this could only result from the recreation of a 2,000 year-old miracle. People have listed side effects above. Another potential side effect of accutane - alopecia. This is where all of your hair, all over your body, falls out. For some people: forever. So - you don't want to take accutane as a first resort. "Ask your doctor." lol
  19. Almost completely off-topic quote from "Things I've Learned From My Children", an old parenting joke list that's been on the internet a long while:
  20. This was added to both the Summoning Guide pet section, and to our Pet care guide. You have been credited in both. Thanks!
  21. [Note: this is a long, texty reply, which is what we are trying to avoid in our guides! lol] We actually have been working very hard in the last six months to get more images into our guides. Although we have a policy of avoiding unnecessary images (like the "quest complete" screen from the game, since we list the rewards and all), adding images is one of the current Crew's number one goals. One of our difficulties is that most of the crew have already done the quest, and many useful things cannot be revisited afterwards. So we need users like you to take a picture of something you find useful! The Crew is always short on mappers, so people who demonstrate skill by posting new maps in our Website Updates forum will get a LOT of crew interest. Myself, I try to include two things: maps and puzzles. I figure there's no point showing you a picture of Olaf on the beach ... once you've found him, you'll know what he looks like, so the picture isn't helpful. How and Where to find him IS helpful. However, quest guides that were written a good while ago do not meet these standards, so fixing them up is a process that takes time. We've made F2P quests a heavy priority, since so many players are F2P. Of course, now Jagex is buffing their in-game F2P quest information, lol. Jagex is just now providing information that Tip.It has been providing for ten years! Here are some examples of our F2P quest Crewbie's efforts: he recently added maps to the Prince Ali quest guide. It shows where every NPC is, so that a player who's just arrived in Lumbridge can find Hassan, Leela, and the other NPCs. Will a bunch of pictures of those NPCs in their houses help? (Such as those provided on Another Fansite?) Not so much. Another recently buffed guide: Romeo and Juliet. Again, a new player isn't going to know where these places are. Another Fansite only shows pictures of the NPCs *after* you find them. Another F2P quest: Witch's Potion. It shows where a new player can find the ingredients. I realise that many of our forum users have already done the old F2P quests, so they aren't seeing these changes. I also realise that pictures throughout the guide break up the text steps. We are working on making our guides less wordy and texty, and breaking things up more. I hope you can bear with us, and again, please feel free to submit helpful PNG format pictures (where to find something, how to do something) for older quests in our Website Updates forum. We will be happy to use them and give you credit on the website!
  22. Feeling on the "outside" in secondary school is part of nearly everyone's life: there's limited number of "popular" kids. Being in Marching Band was an automatic group of 100 friends/acquaintances - it's kind of like the army, when you suffer together you have a common bond, lol. When we moved to my final hometown, I seized the opportunity to create a more confident "front" (a false one), so I didn't get bullied anymore. I managed to make a few intellectual friends (not geeks, good grades but some semblance of social skills, just not part of the cheerleader/quarterback crowd), and that's what most non-popular people do - make their own small clique, tho it's usually not extremely exclusive. The thing about the "popular" crowd ... is that at the very core of the group you will find some actually nice, decent people. Remarkably, they are not the prettiest - showing pictures of a popular and an unpopular girl to someone from another school, the more popular was deemed less attractive. But she was a super nice, calm, happy, non-judgemental and kind person. Never said anything mean about anyone, not a backstabber, not evil, not a bully. She didn't have a miserable home life, didn't have a lot of problems to share - she wasn't emotionally needy. People flocked to her. I couldn't help liking her myself, despite envying her, lol. And if unpopular people came up to her ... she'd be just as nice to them as to anyone else. She just wouldn't seek them out. The crowd immediately AROUND the decent ones are the stuck-up ones, the bullies. They want to keep anyone else out, because they are insecure but try to cloak that with a facade of calm which the genuine people aren't faking. The are the hard outer shell of the popular crowd. They are the ones who judge other people. If I meet one of those (even as an adult) ... I try to get away as soon as possible, and stay away. I prefer to seek out people who are non-judgemental, who don't feel the need to put someone down to lift themselves up. Someone above said it right, about unattractive or fat people - average guys or girls don't want to give the impression that they are interested, so they avoid even eye contact. And since eye contact is a fundamental need of the human psyche, the lack of it is even more painful to someone who may already have low self-esteem. It's only in a small group, actively getting to know someone, that people get past the looks to even find OUT if there's a warm, funny and clever person under there. Upon leaving high school I never looked back. I don't keep in touch with anyone, not even my closest companions from that era. Many people find their first "true" friends while away at college/university. It's an opportunity for self-reflection and change: for the first time, you can be who you want to be. That's when we can define ourselves without comparing to the popular kids - at university everyone is starting from square zero. I've kept in touch with college friends my whole life - my parents did the same with theirs. Going to a small school in your hometown makes it really difficult to encounter people who are sympatico, who view the world the same way you do and want to be friends. University changes that, there are a TON of people around so there's a wider choice and better chance. When you go away to school, make an active choice to join clubs that interest you, where you will meet people who have the same interests. Go to dorm meetings. Go to student council meetings. Get involved in sports or the chapel or whatever works for you. The idea is not to find a bf or gf - it's to make friends of both genders, to find people who understand you and can accept you for who you are.
  23. Thanks for the guide, it helped me!
  24. Thanks gnat for the proof pic, that is AWESOME!! We've finally been able to lay this to rest, after many players inquiring. This has been added to the Regicide quest guide, and to the Getting Around Guide as well. gnat, you have been credited in both guides, and Sandorsandor as well. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
  25. The guide has been revised and the contributing posters credited. Thanks!
