Snare is a good idea, however generally you can use the ability stuns for the same effect. Melee karil, yes.

You are going to want to use magic,to stun the melee brothers. You'll take a single melee hit, which shouldn't be more than 3k. Ahrim and Karil will be troublesome for you because your range level is lower.

I have mine turned on for all rune and addy items. The rest, bows, crossbows, ect are not common drops and do not give you very good items when it breaks them down. Also, don't use it for bonus xp. Because when used to make bpx, it is the most expensive bxp in the game
