I like it. Kind of reminds me of our awesome fighter pilots. We can take down any other nation's pilots in combat... if we can borrow some planes. And how about those subs we bought from England a few years back... at least one leaked and almost didn't make it across the ocean. Today I get to go to work again, and maybe find out if my friend is gonna visit on Friday. It'll be the first time I've seen him since August, so hopefully he can make it. And last night I found out that they added a shift to my week on Friday, but left the sheet as saying "Updated Thursday 12:00"... So I now work Saturday morning... even though when I was hired, they said Monday to Friday.
  2. Oh man, one of my favourite movies of all time. A very good movie indeed... You should really watch the full movie. I fully intend to. With any luck, I'll find it next time I'm at the mall. One of the dozen movie stores should have it.
  3. That's because you're not training efficiently. Those skills are faster exp than you think. No, what I mean is that, there are lots of minigames that help to level really quick some skills. Like the penguin seek and hide, and other minigames that I still don't know. Because I know that it's posible to level quick, but anyway for members is still easier to level. To a certain degree, it should be faster for them. It's a benefit of members. And the skills you mentioned aren't that slow to level, anyway. Other than range for me, but that's a totally different reason. The only skill I see that could use an express lane is Runecrafting. Although it has one now, even in F2P.
  4. Last night I flipped back and forth between a couple of movies that were on TV. Airplane!- This movie was hilarious and I definitely plan to buy it next time I see it. 9/10 12 Monkeys- I didn't see the beginning or the end, but what I saw was quite good. I will probably buy this one, too. What I saw of it makes me say 8/10

Today I found out my cousin has no respect for his parents. It was a get-together for their 25th anniversary and he spent half of it outside doing drugs. Other than that my day was alright. I spent most of it sitting on a bench eating peanuts.

I have 2 iPods now... I have my old Nano that I got as a gift from my mom a few years back, and I just got one (a shuffle; did they shrink them even more?) from work last night for not getting hurt in the last 2 years (plant-wide safety goal, 2 years with no lost-time accidents).

I'll just ignore all of this knife-speak and post something completely unrelated... sound good? Today I found out I no longer work tomorrow. So I started this week with 4 afternoon shifts (Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri) and ended it with 2 afternoons (Mon, Thurs) and a day (Wed). That is, of course, barring a phone call from the boss saying something along the lines of "We need you after all! Please, pretty please come in for 2:50! I'll give you money!". I also found out that next week will be 4 days on the job I actually like doing and 1 day of sitting on my bottom in the comfort of my own home.
  8. umm are you kidding me? it's the conclusion to a trilogy. watch the first two lol There's a 4th book (new author, of course) now, so I kind of expect a 4th movie to come. I went to the movies and saw Cop Out last night. Worth the C$5.50 to get in. Especially since any other day would have been about C$12 (they have a Tuesday special for whatever reason). I am buying this one the first time I see it in a movie store (or the electronics section of my local Walmart). 9/10

I worked today, 6:30am-3pm. I never even ok'ed the switch from afternoons. Ultimately, my mom did for me. On the plus side, I didn't have to do much as I was just training a new guy. He did all the real work, I broke down boxes.
  10. 2 of my friends were bored so they went on and changed 'William the Conquerer' to 'William the Pooper'. Everywhere they saw London they added a 'g' after each 'n', as well. It was changed back within a few minutes. Get some new friends. People who would commit vandalism for their own amusement are arses. Considering this was almost 8 years ago, and that was a one-time deal... I think I'll keep them. Actually, I would anyway.

Read :^_^: . What type of place do you work at exactly? I read it too, and he works at like, a chapman's ice cream factory I believe. Something like that at least. Nestlé, actually. Chapman's is for noobs. Or people who don't want to spend ridiculous amounts (usually C$5+) on something I can buy for a dollar (though what I buy usually isn't cleared for sale in a normal store).

Today I went to work... started at 2:50pm. At about 5-5:30pm my line went down and we started the cleanup. By 6pm we were done the cleanup and I went for a break (my second of the day). At 6:30pm I was sent (by a lead hand) to another line to help out a bit. After about 20 minutes of nothingness I switched out a garbage bin (they had one that was ready to overflow) and then "worked" for 10 more minutes. After that 10 minutes (~7pm) I was taken off of that job (by the same lead hand) and told to go to the warehouse to restack a partial-skid each of ice cream tubs and lids. I finished the lids and was headed for a break (it's about 7:30-8pm by now) when (yep, you guessed it) that same little lead hand asked me to help him again. So I had to go into palletizing (where I used to work a lot and now rarely do... I miss it back there) and get a skid of Skinny Cow Sandwiches to do a metal check on. 3 of us started it... by the end we had 2 join and 1 leave. 9pm we finish that and I go back and do the skid of tubs. I finish that one at about 9:30pm and go for break. 10:45pm I leave the lunchroom and swipe out. And that is the story of my workday. I wonder if anybody will actually read all that.
  14. I agree. I was considering that game, as well.

Today I work for the first time in a week. I could have worked Monday morning but I don't do mornings very well... I was asleep again within 2 minutes of being asked.

Today I went to my workplace, not to work, but to find out my hours for next week. It turns out I have a potentially 6 day weekend, as I haven't worked since Wednesday night and don't work until Wednesday, again. On my way home I stopped at the store (at the road end of the driveway up to the parking lot of the factory). I bought some cheap ice cream and Stouffer's dinners.

So is that good or is that bad? It's a bit of both. It means I only worked 3 days this week... which is somewhat bad... but I don't have to do a day shift (6:30-3, which I hate)... which is good. Overall, I think it leans slightly more toward the good side.
  18. I like LOTR quite a lot. But I agree Frodo isn't the true hero. As for last night, I worked late so didn't end up watching a movie.

Today I woke up to find a message on the machine saying I no longer work tomorrow. I'm quite glad to hear that, since now I don't have to get up at 5:30am.

I just thought of another one I have. Eating with groups of people. Anybody but the people I live with, or my cousin, and I can't eat. If I'm too close to people in a restaurant (if the next table is taken) I lose my appetite and order a smaller meal.
  21. Have you ever seen The Chronicles of Rid[bleep]? (the third movie). I like that one more than PB, although they are both good. ulak blades ftw  I liked Pitch Black more, personally, although I enjoy both of them. The second one (Dark Fury?) is just weird, being animated and only 35 minutes long. I watched Surrogates last night (I bought it last week). It was weird, but enjoyable. Not the best Bruce Willis movie, but not a bad one. 7/10

Today at work my line went down at the same time as normal, and as I was waiting for the OK to finish the cleanup my mom told me my aunt couldn't come get me. So she already had a backup plan in place, provided I would be fine with leaving 30 minutes early. I took the deal...
  23. That one was pretty awesome. I've seen it about half a dozen times, now. I watched Meet the Spartans- I know, I'm a little late, but it had some moments I found quite amusing. 7/10

Cause it's not discussion worthy? Everyone will go "Yay they got caught" or "Don't care." I fall into the latter. A lot of those topics spring up, though. Last night I successfully avoided any lead hand/supervisor types for the last hour of my shift and thus got to sit in the lunch room and do nothing. It was pretty awesome. Hopefully today is a full shift or I can do the same thing again.

Yeah, I miss a lot of important calls because of it. Face-to-face or through written/typed communication I'm fine with, but I can't use a phone. I, too, will probably not have a landline, unless I live with somebody who wants one.
