i completely agree, i was hacked and lost my fire cape, and though +1 attk stats and the extra +2 def stats is nice, its not that useful, but +4 str for fire cape and nothing for 99 capes -.- especially trimmed 99 capes -.- imo trimmed 99 capes should be better than fire cape, its much harder to get 2 99s then to kill jad lol.. the only really useful part of the 99 capes is the prayer, but when ur using prayer a str bonus is helpful too... just generally quite dissapointed here... although the emotes are alright EDIT: oh and as for having people know im 99 or not, 124 combat shows (to anybody who knows jack about the game) that im 99 attk/def/str/hp (unless im a pray <3'r) and my other 99, cooking, i dont really care if people know i have, the capes should be a statistical reward for getting 99, most people realize i have at least 4 99s just by seeing my combat level

i got hacked and lost my fire cape, and now that i have a trimmed skill cape (i only have hitpoints, i cant afford the other 4 yet) - i dont miss the +1 attack or +2 additional defence that much, and the added prayer of trimmed skill capes are nice, the only part i really miss is the +4 strength, so i think ill get my fire cape back once im back on my feet, but really trimmed skill capes show more of an accomplishment, 2 99s is much harder than getting a fire cape imo so yes, fire cape has better stats except prayer, but they arent all too great =\ its kinda like obby > legends, u only do it if u have the cash, but i suppose now its fire/trimmed skill (fire is slightly better, but +4 pray is great) > skill/obby (skill looks better) > legends

good call, thats a very good idea imo however what i was thinking was: when a new quest is released, you keep the cape for a week or so, and if u still havnt completed the new quest by then, you loose it

lol this should definately be guaged for combat lvl, its much easier to score higher at a lower combat.. 1669/124=13.45 im not much of a skiller though, so even if it were guaged for comb lvl i would still be pretty low :^o

not 100% sure if you should put me on - i had one, got hacked, hacker dropped it, and i prob wont get another until i can afford to get it (don't play much, so this wont be till xmas at least) the hacker took everything, so my bank is worth less than 1m right now lol, if u think i should be on the list, then... also at certain times jagex seems to make rare drops more common i have a friend whose goten 5 dragon drops on december 23-26... coincience? i think not EDIT: oh yes, and i have a friend who got d med and then d sq half one right after the other at fire giants... and chain from first kq EDIT2: hmm, what about the drop rate is exact, not a random thing - such as when X fire giants are killed all in 1 server or in all servers a rare drop is dropped? although my first edit would seem to refute that but since high scores update when players log out, when an NPC dies it could update a kill counter, that way all of whatever monsters on all worlds could count toward teh drop counter, and that could factor into rare drops

my biggest challenge in rs was maxxing melee :-k howeve i've also beaten every quest and gotten the fire cape... now i just try to have fun :ohnoes:

woot :) ive been 72 for a while and had my guilded alter for a while, but now i can also make flame pit without buying 74 :) ive already made alot of renovations thanks to the +6 cons i can now get :) EDIT +12 cons possible now!!! this is from the RS KB Crystal Saw This odd piece of equipment is a combination of elven mystic arts and gnomish ingenuity, given to those adventurers who successfully aid the gnomes in the Eyes of Glouphrie. By having the crystal saw in your inventory you will be able to construct furnishings in your house with a Construction level up to 3 levels below that which you would normally require. If you have level 57 Construction, for example, you will be able to construct level 60 furnishings such as gilded four-poster beds - provided you have necessary materials, of course. As the power of the crystal is drained slightly in doing this, you will only be able to construct 28 items in this way before the saw reverts to an uncharged crystal seed and it will need to be recharged. This bonus can be stacked on top of bonuses from tea and Evil Dave's Stew of DOOM. Obviously, if you are lucky you may use all of these to get a massive +12 to your Construction (though only on furnishings) - on the other hand, you may be unlucky and the Evil Stew of DOOM may stack with the tea and the saw to give you +0...

saves you 1.7m or so, cause skirt is 700-800k and legs is 2.4-2.6m if i used dragon armor instead of barrows i'd prob go with skirt but, if jagex pulled their heads out of their behinds and brought thrander (or whatever) back, we could change skirts to legs and visa versa again and the price would even out -.-

heres how training in rs went: rune shield (only thing around) -> unholy book (no def, but attk bonus = fast xp, but no str bonus) -> obby shield (def and a str bonus, at the time part of both worlds, but no attack bonuses) -> rune defender (def/attack/str bonus, same str bonus as obby shield, with GREAT attack bonuses, and still rather nice defence bonus) basically, i only have an obby shield to fight rangers now, +65 range def (same as granite) but with +5 str bonus as well, absolutely no reason to use obby for training since rune defender will speed up your training much more

1. dragon b axe without restore pot = bad idea 2. bring a dds, with its specs i 4 hit karil about 50% of the time, the rest of the time he still dies shortly after 3. karil top + skirt for ahrim has better mage def, i use dds for him as well 4. no need to pray until dharok is at 50% hp or lower, saves ur pots, no need to pray against other brothers in the tunnels just quickly how i do it -go to barrows via. swamp boaty sup str/attk pot, go into dharok and prot melee till hes dead -pray against verac (your pic is misleading, he maxes at around 15 if you have prayer on, and over 20 without pray) -at this point i like to go 4 dds spec karil, mayb killing him, if not i put flail on, i only pray sup str and att cause he never hits -kill guthan and torag in either order, they never hit so it doesnt matter -put on karils top+skirt and dds ahrim (make sure to use slash on dds instead of stab) -dharok tunnel - when he hits 50% hp i use pray pot so i dont waste doses -guthan/torag tunnel - try and get in the tunnels instead of at chest so i can keep goin through the door and spawn more of them (especially if guthan) -karil/ahrim - use dds, karils armor if it's ahrim, dds spec -verac - dont pray, but watch hits what i wear: full verac, glory, obby/fire cape (depends if im laggy), rune boots, WEALTH RING(you use life lmao, if a bro kills you it wont be from under 10% hp, it'll prob be with a 20, and wealth helps alot with drops), barrows colored gloves inventory: karils top + skirt, spade, crumbling tome, spade, sup str, sup attk, 1 pray pot(incase dharok tunnel), DDS (probably most important part of inventory), house tele tablets, rest lobs

*giggles at the pissed off noob* anyway, im sorry that i_D_r is trying to help people, whether its the mainstream rs community or an elite secter that have put much effort into their stats. whether it helps you or not, there are 5,759 people with 99 attack, 3,827 people with 99 def, 6,134 people with 99 strength. Most people get 99 def after attack and strength, or at least after attack. therefor its safe to asume 3500+ people have 99 flats in runescape. probably 100+ of them use this forum, most likely 200+. so your flaming a guide that helps MINIMUM 100 people? i havnt barrowed since last summer, and this guide got me back into it. so it doestn matter whether they're an active barrower already. sorry that you are in the majority that don't really have a use for this topic, but many people who have trained their stats up high enough wouldnt mind a cheaper way than ancient magic to do the barrows. in conclusion, you're a jealous idiot who wishes he had the stats to use this guide but you dont :thumbsup: (take a tip from this smily ----> :-# )

ive been using this guide alot - very useful and cheap for those of us with 99 flats and 80+ pray heres what i use per trip: full verac set degrades slightly, karils top and bottom degrades slightly (use karils top and bottom instead of pray against ahrim, i kill ahrim last as well) sup str and sup attack dose (1 each) restore dose if ahrim does well prayer pot/sup restore (sometimes im out of pray pot) dose incase dharok in crypt 1 house tele tablet a few lobs all together like less than 2k per trip unless i use a pray pot dose, in which case its like 5k? EDIT: oh ya, and what i do differently is: full verac with karil top and bottom instead of armor suggested in beggining post :3> i_D_r for this guide

EDIT: Toktz-ket-xil: xil seems to mean range (obby rings have xil in them i believe, lvl 133 rangers have xil in their name as well) and +65 range def (same as granite shield), so obsidian-protecter/warrior-(against)range

the only one ive tried is the yanille one - its on the south wall for easier access to ogre lands i suppose
