  1. Anyone that's arrogant enough to think that the entire rs world is so annoying or beneath them to put public chat to off/friends so strangers don't chat them up is a jerk, level 109 or level 9.
  2. !cmb-est 1 1 20 23 70 40 1 -RuneScript- *** [ CMB-EST ]: Cmb-lvl (Ranger): 49.78 ASDHRPM: 1 1 20 23 70 40 1 If I'm right, and 20 is the requirement to use initiate armor, and the person managed to squeak by on 23 hp... it is possible. How 23 hp, you ask? The ranging guild minigame, as well as playing gnomeball, and using a cannon once you pass 40 range for range xp would maintain a hp level of 23. Getting 1 attack, str, 20 defense, and 40 range would put a character at 23 hitpoints, according to the Combat Calculator I'm using. You could bring that range to 70 without gaining any hp, so that's not a problem. You would be 49.7 combat when the fight started, if you were lucky and did it in your first try or two, I think you could do it. (and you may just get the 50 combat level while doing it) The person could easily have used a Karil's Crossbow (I'm not sure about crystal bows), because you only need 70 range for the bow, the armor is a different story. My money (if such a thing were to be done) would look on like this- Initiate helm Initiate plate Obsidian cape black dragon vambraces black dragon legs karils crossbow fury amulet rangers boots? The inventory would probably be a combination of super restores, strawberry baskets, and sara brews. Wild pies are also an option, as they raise range by 4 per bite, and heal 11 per bite.
  3. And I've got the star-telegram with that as the headline :D
  4. Thank you, thank you, and goodnight.
  5. There is none that exist, but when the rumor of the "Dark Axe" as a drop from dark beasts came about, it followed the line of dragon- 60, abyssal/barrows- 70, dark-80.
  6. They are masters gloves, not dark gloves. You don't need 80 attack or def to use them, like you would any dark equipment.
  7. Does the piece of wood have feathers at one end and a point at the other?
  8. The masters gloves are frickin' sick. I just got them myself. And they protect over whip, which means if people want the str bonus over the rune ones, it's gonna cost them.
  9. Thank god, man. You really hit home on the $5 a month vs. $5k not entitled to you. It saddens and worries me to hear people refer to Jagex as tyrants or oppressive. It makes me uneasy, I suppose, because it hints at a deeper personal problem dealing with the player having free choice not to pay Jagex any further if they're truly not satisfied.
  10. I am having difficulty seeing how we relate a handful of mistakes to an inaccurate knowledgebase. It would do you well to keep in mind that many corrections to the things that are considered inaccurate on tip.it are at the hands (or readily available to) of the people that write the pages as well.
  11. I think this sums up my sentiment on the article as well.
  12. The fact is that that to anyone other than a coder the information that is supposedly at their fingers looks like jibberish. You come off speaking as if its a bad thing they did this at all. This may not be your intent. The KB doesn't have intrusive ads, it doesn't take ages to load, or cause lag ingame on my computer, it's got great pictures, a ton of information (not anything I'd use, most likely), and it's more likely to keep newbies from being misled or scammed at other sites.
  13. Boy, you really are a jerk, aren't you? There are quests and items created by people who are no longer even employed there! Without digging through game code, or testing and retesting just like we're doing, there is no way whatsoever to get all the information down to the letter. Each person on the squad works with different things. What you're expecting is to go to each person on staff, ask them what they've created, how it works, what it's for, and then put that all into the knowledgebase. Your alternative is to have each programmer try and compile their own pieces of the knowledgebase and have them mesh together by a final person. Either way, the information is not "at their finguretips [sp]" as you so claim.
  14. lol, you're a quick one. Maybe you didn't pick up on the idea that Jagex have all the info they need at their fingure tips (they created the game, last time I checked at least). Obviously a fan site has to test, check, and double check. So thats a pretty dumb statement on your part. Jagex don't even know where their Black Dragons and Bloodvelds are. Unless you happen to think Jagex's game code magically reassembeld itself into a knowledge base, it had to be laboriously typed in, all 150k words. (There are probably fifteen words of code per word of text you see), so I'm betting that their batting average is still higher, considering the massive undertaking that is is.
  15. How can fan sites get screwed when the people who are working on the Knowledge base can't even get the stats to a cape right? It does prove one thing even further though... they are STILL out of touch with their own game. EVERYONE makes mistakes...jagex are only HUMAN!!! jees...one small mistake like that and you rip them to peices :? Funny you should say that. Because I've counted at least three mistakes they've made posted on this thread already. lol... someone is an obvious kiss wagon. And this is coming from a site who has a thread and a whole forum dedicating to "Website updates and Corrections"?
  16. And no ads  :D :D
  17. Interesting (you never said or posted that I believe?). It's good that both estimates are quite 'near' to each other though. It was directly with a friend over MSN. Don't have the logs, now, though.
  18. I hate bumping this, but I think that you may want to rework your numbers, knowing that freeplayers require better arrows, and the number of high level missile runes and such that come out of the market with the mage arena. Also increase the number of barrows sets significantly, and their repair. Other things include conveniences (as in removal of gp through travel, boats rugs and the like), and introduction through treasure trails. I remember doing a calculation similar to yours, and getting a 350 billion or so estimate (about the time you did it, maybe slighly later). We should probably do it again.
  19. i soloed it about 10minutes after update.. you are a *, stop posting, you do nothing to help the topic, no one likes you. sweet guide lime, how many balls per elemental would you say? 120-150 with 84 range potted to 90+.
  20. Sara Brew? Elidinis Altar? Guthix Rest tea?
  21. If you can hit it with a bow or a spell, it can hit you.
  22. It took most of my playing time this weekend, learning and developing the strategy, then dealing with things like newbs running out there, people attempting to pk me, and such. About as many as you've killed, I've killed. I use ring of wealth, not sure if you do or don't.
