There is a small chance, you might be able to make those photos with a camera like yours (If you would use a tripod with it too). I tried it with my compact camera+ tripod, and I could make some decent firework shots with it. If you just change the settings to 'Fireworks' and you photograph cars in the dark, your camera will adjust the time value to a long one. But it wont happen if you dont use a tripod. :wink: And it doesnt have to be an expensive one, I bought one for $14 or ÃÆââââ¬Ã¡Ãâì10. And thanks operator :)

I took 45 minutes to make photos (fro runesmithies competition) at a crossing on a saturday evening. The location could have been better, so I will go to the city next time. 56 photos in total, here are the best. (Star shapes of light sources in the photo above) The next one is pretty strange, I have no idea how I got those gray colors. I was walking home, and I put the time value to 10 seconds. I aimed the camera at light sources while I walked, who knows what happens. If youre ever going to photograph in the night, try it out :) It looks best small sized :anxious: Thats all, dont forget to post. :-w

Just remove the dot at the end of the link. :wink: It seems like a compilation of alot of different songs in one, and some effects are a bit overused :) It also doesnt have a real structure, the beginning is the same as the end.

Like some people told you before, the lines are jaggy. Take a look at the gallery from Ard_Choille, shes very good at making fractals.

*runs in* Can I still enter my photo? I have had some very serious problems with my computer, I wasnt able to upload my photos. Thank you so much runesmithie, Ive learned so much at this trip just because I needed a photo for this competition :) The photos I made arent that 'Lamppost' related, they have lighttracks from cars in them too. If I cant enter those, just tell me. I will update this post later.

I won ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã75 cash and a framed print of my winning entry. This one guy went away with over ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã1500 of prizes and 6 framed prints - his dad's a pro photographer and he goes out and takes photos when he does and gets to use his stuff. :( Great fun - I'm going for it next year - I've been out shooting a lot more. Thats great, congratulations man :) Me and Green will count the votes at the end of the month (30 nov?), I cant combine school and the POTM right now. I will also announce I will not do another year of organizing this, sorry guys :( So someone else has to organise next year.

Im using it as a wallpaper right now. (My computer crashed so I needed a new one) :oops: #-o I really like the water, it looks very real. But on some places I think you could let the types of other groundtypes flow a bit more, right now there are alot of lines and the transistion is too hard.

I also prefer the second one, the text and the photos are well composed. If you would give a card like that, people will look for the text first, and then they see what you have to offer. If you would reverse it like V1 (Photos first, text later) I am personally distracted by the photos because I want to read the text first.

The photo is better than the manip in my opinion. The pen tool is nice, but its... unnecissary, it comes out of nowhere. Maybe you could use the pentool to let the butterfly/flower stand out more. I am being distracted by the text (which is a bit too big IMO) and the red pentool. I think its a nice manip, but it could use improvement. Maybe you could work on the framing too, center the butterfly. :wink:

30 inch dual LCDs! :o This is awesome, thanks for sharing this. Its a good thing something else like this gets posted at The Gallery. I will join, who knows what happens. I might actually spend some hours on this piece. But I have to fix my computer first, it crashed. Vista has to be installed all over again. And I have to pay for it.

I have a vague memory of this. What were the details? His name is on the tip of my tounge... I want to say it started with an "M". Details wise I remember he used to be a fairly respected abstract artist, and he always had a problem with text. I think it was one day he posted something new and a guy found out that hidden in the mess was an abstract piece from DeviantART. Wait, do you meen Metroid? He also ripped signatures. :-k I dont think he was a Tip.it user for that long, but it could be. A shame, I really believed he was very good at combining Terragen and Photoshop+Renders all together.
