But on some places I think you could let the types of other groundtypes flow a bit more, right now there are alot of lines and the transistion is too hard. November 23, 200718 yr I know nothing about Terragen (the name sounds like a spice), but I loved the background. It looks very realistic; how does the program work anyway? Did you actually make it, pixel by pixel?
November 23, 200718 yr Author It's kind of difficult without showing you, but I'll try and explain. Pretty much you create your landscape by working on each of the 'main' pieces of one. There is a terrain -- a hight map field that represents the... terrain. There is also the surface map, which is the texture that you can edit. You can edit the atmosphere (Where the sun is placed, other various values) and you can edit the actual angle you're looking at your world. All of this together just works together. It's 3D modeling, but it's different than most 3D modeling programs.
