  1. 1. Sounds just like the people who tried to disprove POH (where will they all fit?!?!!??!) 2. Jagex has surprised us before with skills that sound useless. Farming and Slayer come to mind because who exactly wants to tend for virtual plants and be forced to kill 1 type of creature to get skill points. (Keep in mind that this is what it would sound like to someone who's never played runescape or tried a new skill) 3. Since when is complication a bad thing (Let's leave medical problems out of this)? I mean, I'd MUCH rather have a computer that can run crysis at the highest settings then have a computer that that has a 2 MB HD that's bigger then my washing machine and lags when I play pong, wouldn't you? Also, I personally don't feel strongly about if it's real or not but I felt I had to throw this in here. You seem to be going out of your way to try to crush the dreams of players. Please don't go into the education field.
  2. Is it even possible to go under 1/X level? I thought it stopped lowering at level 1. :?
  3. 10/10 for having more then enough money to buy the whole freakin city of Falador.
  4. It seems Microsoft is releasing 6 different versions of Windows 7. The beta test is Windows 7 Ultimate. The versions are: Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise, Ultimate. :shame: :shame: :shame:
  5. I will probably be playing RSHD but I might try to play some other MMORPGs.
  6. So would you guys recommend that I buy this, look for another laptop or wait for Win 7?
  7. I don't really know how to install a video card on a laptop and the other laptops I've found have a weak video card and their ratings aren't as high. Can x86 use 4GB to it's full potential? (I only sorta know what x32 and x64 can handle, no idea about x86)
  8. Thanks, but I'm not sure that ASUS will put it into their laptops, but other then that is it good? (Also, is ASUS a good brand?)
  9. If you plan on only getting experience from cursing, I recommend getting a high negative magic attack bonus and cursing a creature nobody ever attacks so you can keep cursing it. You won't ever succeed in cursing it so you'll be able to keep splashing and getting the exp.
  10. My parents said that I could get a laptop for my graduation present. I want a computer that can do pretty much everything (within reason) and I think I might have have found a good laptop but I'd like some feedback from you guys. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6834220461 Basic info: CPU Type Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4G Memory Size 4GB DDR2 Hard Disk 250GB Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 9650M GT Video Memory 1024MB I'd also like it if you guys told me to get this laptop now or if I should wait until the end of the year to get a computer with similar stats with Win 7.
  11. I honestly think that it will be a but a sequel to anything but WGS since they could have easily delayed the release of the quest to make it 150 and it would have worked completely. They gave us WGS this close to the 150 quest for a reason.
  12. P:WWYD is an American television newsmagazine broadcast on ABC since February 26, 2008 as part of the Primetime series. The show is about setting up everyday scenarios and then capturing people's reactions. Whether they're compelled to act or mind their own business, John Quiñones reports on their split-second and often surprising decision-making process. Often people speculate on how they might act in a difficult situation, but this series looks at how they actually do in the face of everyday dilemmas that test their character and values. Taken from Wikipedia. This show is extremely interesting (although I hate the time slot they've given to it) and always seems to surprise me since people act differently with variables that seem simple. Some of their scenarios that they've shown include: A man drugging his date with a drug, A man treating immigrant customers badly trying to get lunch, and a pair of wedding crashers. The people who do the scenario are actors but the show aims to see how people react. My personal favorite scenario would have to be how the people defended the blind people when a cashier tried to scam them. You can post if you like/hate the show and your favorite scenario.
  13. Yes, attacking her with your stats should not be a problem with the axe even without prayer (I recommend using prayer though :P) I'd also recommend having a full inventory of food just in case.
  14. I agree with king, MTK is pretty much an investment that's going to guarantee money. Your stats are also suitable for Bandos hunting with a team of 3 (I'd recommend more since your defense is pretty low and the 3 Sgts could get some nasty hits on you) since your defense isn't too high.
  15. yea, im not 100% for sailing but, it might and probably will happen. also, who says that a skill has to have tons of great abilities that will make it the talk of the town(hint: talk of the town refers to the new "town managment" skill comming soon). but seriously maybe sailing will be almost like agility, what other skill is atatched to agility? what does agility even do? agility helps you go places, and go to places faster. maybe sailing will only have maybe 8 different islands to explore, but on the island there will be other stuff to do! and also with new ports sailing could help you get to places faster(perhaps you could actualy pay to use "private" dock and go up and down rivers, around coasts or other places. imagine being able to get to the jungle area of karamga(sp?) without having to telly ardy, boat to brim, wagon to shilo, exit shilo and walk all the way there) i think sailing is a good idea  ... ps. if you didn't even read my entire post dont flame me, for the love of guthix at least be open to new concepts even if you don't think it is a good idea Exactly, and honestly we all know how creative Jagex can get when they put their mind to it for all the people saying "sailing is stupid and a waste of time so how could it be fun?". Sailing seems to be boring and useless but we can only guess what they're going to do. New islands, random encounters (possibly with your friends), PVP ship battles, POS (Player Owned Ships) so you can make your ship a war machine or a party boat and that's only from 2 seconds of thinking.
  16. People, PLEASE stop jumping on the "OMG SAILING IS STUPID AND IT'LL NEVER COME OUT" bandwagon. Seriously, it's getting old. OT: It definitely seems like that hint was put out to advertise sailing. I have a feeling it's coming out within the next couple of months because of how Jagex showed how they work on skills and the time it takes to release it. Sailing could be amazing with these HD graphics.
  17. Guns are violent. They're also necessary. Millions would disagree. Bad example to draw comparisons with. K, hows this: In the Cold War, neither the US nor the Soviet Union dared to attack each other because they knew that if they sent over an H-Bomb, the opposing side would send one right back. The H-Bombs were violent but necessary to keep the peace.
  18. Guns are violent. They're also necessary. What if the convict takes a life, what gave him that right? Again, like many others before me have said, death penalty is quick, simple, and painless but life in prison is a hellhole especially if you're being kept alive for the sake of living to die in the prison, without any positive things to your name at the end of your life.
  19. No, the Constitution gives them that right. When they commit the crimes they forfeit those rights.
  20. This is not true at all. They cannot affect society physically, but mentally people can influence generations. Just look at MLKJR, JFK, Jesus Christ, ect... Yeah, their actions may have caused a chain of events to happen and these events might having a continuous effect on society even while they are dead. My point was that after their death, they can't do anything to effect society from that point on. They no longer have the opportunity to effect society. Unless they come back as zombies *cough* Jesus *cough*
  21. No. Taking an innocent life so you can continue to kill the guilty isn't EVER justified. To be fair, the rate is not 1 in 10. It is much much less, but wouldn't it make more sense to just eliminate the risk all together? If the rate is much less, then it's a LOT better but if you don't agree let me try to play this scenario for you. You wake up in a dark room and the T.V. comes on. You see a funny looking puppet say "I want to play a game. The game is simple, you kill yourself or you live. The thing is, if you live then there are 50 people in the other room who will die. The choice is yours." Again, even with the risk I'm sure most would be willing to take their chances.
  22. High school with all my friends :\ had to make plenty of hard decisions due to drama.
  23. What I agree with is if a person does something horrible enough (like raping and killing people in full consciousness and with deep planning, especially children), he should lose all rights to truly humane treatment. What I disagree with is the concept that quick lethal pain is somehow a proper punishment. There are worse, psychological punishments available. Eternal solitary confinement with no access to any human being for the rest of his life is one of them. It's a ridiculously 'easy way out' to just kill someone. I would instantly select death over spending the next 70 years in a padded room into which you are handed a small meal tray once a day & you get to do nothing except stare at walls in silence. It will be much more painful for the person than lashing or stoning him to death, starvating him, injecting a lethal needle that puts him out of his misery in a few minutes etc... Honestly, I completely agree with the part about them losing their rights to inhumane treatment. The degree of their crime should definitely depend on what happens to them but I doubt it would ever happen. Even if they were executing an innocent man or woman, the rate of it has been 1 innocent person out of 10. I definitely don't like those odds but I'm sure most people would agree that if they had to kill 1 person to kill 9 bad people, they'd do it (and in some cases, even the innocent person would agree it would be better)
  24. I disagree with the second part. It seems extremely inhumane to let someone serve a life sentence in jail. Death would be quick and painless but the rest of your life in jail is terrible. Having to wake up each morning knowing the life you're going to lead without a chance out is probably the worst thing you can do to someone.
