  1. a mass ban is coming to all those autoers, i assure u that, yeah it dont matter becaues the autoers prolly drop trade their cash to their main, but still, mass bans are always nice. Another point to this, is it will most likely increase the prices of natures and decrease the price of rares. Reasons cosmic skyrocketed so fast is because their was rumors that you could now get dragon stones from the new mini game..pfft...what a rumor. jagex is going to come up with new things to get autoers in game. I wouldn't worry bout that...but i think jagex biggest fault was getting rid of rsc for f2p...it was autoer haven...yes, but least it was rsc and not their new product rs2.
  2. got mime when i was lvl 80 or so, i got a genie when i was lvl 65 or so...got maze after i got mime  ...and ive got only a few of the new randoms
  3. Jagex will often put this kind of stuff in just to get ppl talking
  4. wow, runescape in ways resembles the dark ages just much is taken out because well the dark ages were very very barbaric times. Now, sure ok, so if u were in the dark ages today ud kill ppl for no reason and all this yeah ok. But see, our minds have evolved and we have learned morals. So if you really want to expirience runescape first hand, go back to the dark ages by building yourself a time machine, take whips and cannons with you.
  5. Wow, i know how terrible that would be, but tough break. I wish there would be sometning i could say or do to make you feel better, but i can't nor can anyone here. but least consider this, whoever noticed that you died, you made them very very happy, now at the demise of you, but still you'll get over it, and now some poor neeb has some money to continue playing the same. Another thing to remeber is...hey you still have your skills
  6. I myself would like to see spells that instead of weaken the npc, make them stronger, i would have a hay day making something stronger and then watching ppl fight it and get all mad because u just beefed it up a lil bit
  7. it does hit through prayer, why else would it be the only barrows set that gives a prayer bonus? not only that but i hit a 25 on someone when they had prayer on and i do it constantly, i dont know bout u, but i cant hit a 50 on someone.. btw i think prayer reduces it 2/3 instead of 1/2 on people because when i pk on f2p i can hit a 14 against prayer but i can only hit a 21 with out it
  8. Yes, i did do that when i first got the computer, now all thats left on it is stuff i know i want and stuff i'm not sure if i need it or not.
  9. Well, i just got a new computer in august, and i think their is a bunch of junk still on it from when i buy it,(you know all that extra [cabbage] they think they have to put on it)...anyway i would like to get rid of as much of this junk as possible. 10. Yeah, its easy to see that the old days of runescape were 10x better then the new ones. I started back in early-mid 2002 and just like you, i always waited for my friend to get on, and when he wasn't i would train...i ended up having like 2k from training(WHOA) and i traded the black 2h that a friend gave me for a mith mace that some dude said owned..(Pfft, Right)...anyway my friend got me another 2h, and it was awesome, then i started mining and quickly got to 60 mining and mined coal...was saving up for a r2h when halloween came around..sweet 5 or so masks...so i traded 1 for 2 rune longs, i was plain rich....least i thought so, then the worst thing ever happened...i was hacked..i quit for a long time, came back and bam i was back on it. Gained some major cash from mining, got to lvl 70..my mining lvl has been around 74 since rsc...
  11. don't bump old post...you like the story, great! look at the date it was written, as you can see, someone already bumped this post in august, and now you bumped it again in nov.
  12. well first of all 1:Melee have to train 2 stats compared to the 1 magers or rangers have to train...(3-2 if you include defence, but they cancel out, so i didnt include them) 2.Mages can train their mage without even fighting monsters. 3.Rangers complain about the cost of their arrows, but you make up for that in food with melee, so that don't even count.
  13. 1 Bil gp would easily buy 99 in every skill...maybe not on the first go..but the profit you make..yea it could easily. And to the person who says he has 1 Bil easy...why merchant anymore...serously...you could pretty much have 1 everything you want....+more..
  14. I think You may be thinking about this all wrong. "To some price that nobody can afford, like maybe 200 ppl is all." Prices just don't rise because people say they do. Price rise because more GP is put into the game and the value of the rs gp goes down. P hat's won't be worth 200M if no one in the game could afford them...P hats won't be worth 200M if 20 ppl could afford them. And by afford i don't me that if they sell all their stuff they could just buy the Phat. I mean that once they buy that phat they'll still be comfortable with everything else they need to do that quick task, and other stuff. I don't think P hats will Sky-rocket like they did over the last few months, but i'm sure they will rise slowly again. If you look at the forums, their is a lot more selling post then their are buying. More people are trying to Merchant, and more people are failing. I tried rare merchanting and sadly i started at the wrong time, Lost around 10M+ in that deal. And about people hating merchants, sure they make lots of money, but its also hard work and they take big risk. Also merchants dont inflate prices, in fact they help the prices become more stable. Without merchants, their would be less competition, and prices would be jumping all over the place and no body would be able to predict them.
  15. IMO carpentry sounds stupid, why not just simply add it on as part of crafting...its practically the same thing.
  16. Why I Deserve 10M GP By N64JiVe One day, as I'm training slayer, a friend of mine PMs me saying they need some quick cash and they would pay me back. I ask them how much they need, and they say 5M...(whoa thats quite a lot of cash for free ay). So I tell them this. I say, "Hey, how bout this...I'm gonna sell my green party hat, and with that I'll merchant santa's until i have 5M more then what i started with, and you don't have to pay me back." He loves the idea, of course, and i go off to find the best price for my party hat. Well I get to the Marketplace to find the best price for my P Hat, and I discover they are selling for around 40-41M...Ok, that sounds fair. So I sell my party hat for 41M and go off to do some merchanting. I sit around for a while not trying to buy anything and i realize santa's are going for about 5.8-5.9M...I buy 8 Santas for 5.6M hoping to make a quick profit...I decide to wait, cuz it was a friday and maybe they would go up on saturday. Nope, I was dead wrong, and in fact they did the opposite. They were now selling 5.2-5.5M ea...ouch! I decide I am going to wait until they go back up to at least 5.6M so i dont lose money on the deal. Few weeks go by and prices are still low(Halloween Kept them down) so I'm stuck with 2M and 8 Santa hats. I have to break my friends heart and tell him I can't get him the money, and he says its fine and dandy. Well he might be fine with it, but i'm not. I would really like to make it up to my friend, and give him his 5M. But I don't wanna sell them quick right now, when i know they should go up soon, and I could make the cash back and get him that 5M. My friend has a short patience, and i know how boring rs is when you don't have any cash, So i'd like to get him the 5M as soon as possible. So if you would, 5M would be enough cash for me, Keep the 10M for yourself. RS Name: N64jive
  17. I doubt their is even 50M whips in all of runescape
  18. Holiday drops were some of the funnest things in runescape... sadly yes jagex took them out because people were getting rich off of them, but that was their only reason nor do i think it was their main reason. It was a huge hassle with people complaining that they spend time with their families on the holidays and that they don't have a chance to get the drops. jagex would no longer have to worry about prices sky-rocketing though in my opinion, if they were to allow them to be tradeable because theirs 2,500,000 people playing runescape these days and i think it would take quite a long time for them to be worth a lot
  19. yeah that way instead of pures with 99 range and like 40 def they'd have 150 range and 40 def...makes sence... (btw, i know 150 range is like millions upon millions of exp...which makes it also another reason why this update isnt possible, people would get to like lvl 110 in something and it would be like another 50+ mil to the next level
  20. first day my friend told me the thing to do was train str and atk to 40 and keep defence at one, well i didnt listen and i made gained 15 def with 25 str and 15 atk...this was like the first few days, i did this killing men and made like 5k doing it. My friend frowned upon me the next day, but still he gave me a black 2h...i
  21. bah, macs blow, in our advanced computer classes we only use macs, and i hate them,
  22. When u have free text messaging, that just means u have free mobile to mobile, it would still cost u money to text to buy something whether its ringtones, them dumb jokes that they think would be cool to send to your message box, or a subcription for runescape. If you ever watch those jamster adds it always says text (Word) to (Number) and if u read the fine print its like $6 for 5 text they send back to you for the jokes or something like that. so free-texting doesnt mean that u would get free runescape subscription if you could text there.
