Don't forget it's the first days of release, I believe future updates will change that A LOT. You mean the time to level? Doubt it. I believe the whole purpose behind making the cap 120 was so that you could level up at a fairly constant rate. Although I'm doing solo right now at level 53, and it's actually taking 3-4 dungeons a level. So the time to level does increase somewhat as you level, unsurprisingly. I don't think it'll stay this way. Jagex may want people playing their game, but they wouldn't encourage "no-lifing"- Getting to 104M on a 15-20K exp per hour on average is not something Jagex would encourage IMO. That's actually what a I meant - the time between levels will stay fairly constant with possibly only a linear increase instead of going up exponentially like other skills. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the max exp an hour capped out in the hundreds of thousands after 99.

As for the difficulty, it does get more difficult as you go. It appears that as well as averaging the floor xp with your prestige xp, the difficulty of the floor is also averaged with the difficulty of the prestige level. I used to face level 150ish gluttonous behemoths, now on my prestige runs with 26 prestige I'm facing level 250ish behemoths.

Woah, what food is that? Skinweaver?

Only thing I can say is don't do 5 man teams, after about 3 man teams the bosses get ridiculous and just isn't worth doing. i thought you could stand between the boss and the dead bodies so it can't heal Try blocking that fatass from his lunch when he's hitting constant 300+ on you.

Yup, as far as I can tell (so far) this applies to the luminescent icefiend, stomp, and sagittare. Btw you notice that after you get stomp down to 1/3 health he starts doing a STUPID ammount of damage? He was hitting me for EXACTLY 247 damage constantly like my armor wasn't even there.

Real quick, I'm just wondering, what is the best possible weapon to use in daemonheim? I'm currently using a promethium maul, but I hit a LOT of zeroes. Would anything else really be any better? I've heard the spear is good, but I haven't gotten that as a drop YET.

Frozen GWD door - possible future Dungeoneering update?
Peronix replied to Peronix's topic in General Discussion
As far as the lore thing goes, there are already many things that don't make sense about GWD. For one, the fact that the bosses respawn. You'd expect that when you kill someone, they STAY dead. Also, the entire battle was over finding the Godsword, a single weapon capable of slaying a God. And yet, there are obviously MANY Godswords on the plane of RuneScape. Which by the way is one reason it is entirely plausible that we get the staff of Armadyl in a future sequel to WGS. I'm sure they could make something up lorewise for a dungeoneer extension of GWD. -
Frozen GWD door - possible future Dungeoneering update?
Peronix replied to Peronix's topic in General Discussion
Actually, I see that more as they designed daemonholm to have as little impact on the economy as possible, since it is obviously intended to be the main way to train the skill. That means that training the skill would, as promised, not be a money drain to train up. If they had dangerous dungeons (which deposit your grave outside, or maybe even delete your items entirely as in pvp :ohnoes:) I wouldn't see it as unbalanced at all if they made keep-able drops from bosses. They would just have to balance the boss's drop tables such that the drop rate increase is less than proportional to the increase in the avarage time it takes to kill one boss over their non instanced counterparts. Though, separate token systems for each dungeon is a good idea too. -
Frozen GWD door - possible future Dungeoneering update?
Peronix posted a topic in General Discussion
We all know which door I'm talking about: that frozen door in the Godwards dungeon, which has been the focus of much speculation. Well here's some more for you: Is it possible that this door will be the entrance to another randomized dungeon? This comes from several ideas: 1. Dungeoneering is an entire skill, thus it is inconvenience that daemonholm will be the only dungeon area they ever release. That would be ridiculous. 2. If new dungeons are released, they don't necessarily have to follow the model of daemonholm. Other dungeons could have other rules, such as allowing you to take your own gear instead of having to harvest it from the map. In order to balance this, the base difficulty level would be majorly increased, the size of the base map size would increase, and of course the resulting dungeon would be riddled with ever more fiendish traps than daemonholm. And on the flipside, drops you get you would keep. Drops would still be random, but the drop tables would obviously be much more generous since you're running an entire dungeon for one boss, not mercilessly slaughtering the boss over and over. 3. People have been clamoring for instanced bosses due to crashers, but as others have pointed out this might be a bit unbalanced for the prices of drops because an indefinite number of people can be killing the boss at any one time. Instanced bosses in dungeon format may offer more balance (and fun! let's not forget fun). Of course, the bosses in the GWD dungeon wouldn't necessarily be Zil Kree Tsuth (sp?) and Gaardoor, but the dungeon could offer more difficult versions of these bosses. Maybe the dungeon could require 70 dungeoneering to entrer, and possibly require a killcount aswell. Of course this is pure speculation, but I see it as a definite, exciting possibility of how the dungeoneering skill could be extended to other parts of the game. -
I'm pretty sure the runes from the dungeon can't be used with the standard spellbooks or sold on the grand exchange, since they are almost certainly separate items due to the fact that you can bind runes to yourself in the dungeon.

Batch 2 is just pure speculation right? It's in the FAQ, they mentioned specifically that they would give a ranged equivalent of the mage prayer. I'm wondering more though if there will be curse equivalents of both in batch 2.

So, promethium spear is best? I've been using promethium maul (though I haven't gotten a spear drop yet). Which monsters are weak to what?

I don't agree.. even the mushrooms and potatoes become decent healers in between fights with one of these (I have the lvl 89 -adept skinweaver- with me if possible) by your side. And guess what, the healers even fight which always help a little... With 99 Summoning, I've found that the 6,000 LP worth of Salve Eels on the highest Beast of Burden far surpasses the healing I'd get from the highest Healing Familiar during the boss fight. Throughout the dungeon it might be better, but I always have excess food at the end so the Beast of Burden feels more useful... [/hide] About that, which one is the BoB? I got no idea =P [/noob] Adept worldbearer is a high level BoB, that's as much as I know. Requires megaleather bag as a 2ndary Ah, so that's what those bags are for.

Thanks, Jagex. Call it Demon Island, Dem Island, Demheim, etc. but not dung island. Yes, and for that matter, call the skill dun or at least dunj, not dung, PLEASE. -

*Looks at adventurers log* "Killed 2 kree'arras" "Killed 2 kree'arras" That's all fine and good, except I haven't done solo armadyl in over a YEAR.

OH MY GOD. 46 dungeoneering down to 39. [bleep] YOU JAGEX. 30 minutes my [wagon].

Not necessarily. It could be that this is designed such that it supersedes such messages, unlike other automated activities.

What I find so humorous is that nobody remembers how often they ban people for this and how easily it is detected. Are the only thoughts in their head "OH WOW I CAN GET FAST RC XP NOW!!!" Fat lot of good that xp will do if you're banned. Indeed. It's impossible to think those sort of xp gains are legit. I think it was just a mistype on the part of whoever was changing the xp to 2 and they put 20000 instead. How do you mistype FOUR DIGITS? ^ What I'm wondering LOL. Probably a bit more complicated than that. Maybe there is a multiplier that lowers the exp from normal, so its 2 exp every 10 runes instead of 10 for 1. So maybe they retyped the multiplier as 200 instead of .02 or something like that.
-
If you got it after the system update I guess so :( But since they did a system update I think a backup was made at that point so it shouldn't be any farther back than that.
-
Ok so they DID nerf the exp. Wonderful. As if the exp wasn't low enough already.
-
OMFG 20000 EXP FOR 10 DEATH RUNES. I JUST GAINED 100K RC EXP IN 10 SECONDS. NOT KIDDING. NERF THIS CRAP NOW. Fail Jagex, FAIL.

I know. What I'm asking is do I need to do all floors every reset in order to get the maximum prestige the following reset.
