i've had a streak of 19 zeros in a row in duel arena. -.- the potential does decrease the chances of zeros, but not significantly. That's because you're missing, not doing 0 damage on a hit. New accounts hit so many zeroes because their potential to fall between 0-0.9 was so high, not because their attack level sucked to the point where they couldn't even hit chickens.
-
How is it pointless whip? You ever notice before that it was possible to hit 0s with magic even when it didn't splash? Or that it was possible to weaken a tormented demon even though you seemingly hit zero? That's because the hit fell between 0 and 0.9. So that potential was completely lost before (except for weakening the demon). Now you can actually hit a 9 instead of the potential being completely wasted. Also, unicorns now heal 148 instead of 14 (read: 140).

Oh wow. Good thing I"m 137 cmb, they don't attack me. -
Or because with the 99 HP limit a lot of bonuses get rounded down. Whichever sounds more reasonable.

You know what I really love about the update? When I hit 4 (40), 9 (90), ect, now that extra damage isn't completely wasted because you need 5 Hp damage to heal 1. Now that extra damage actually means something. And people, all I have to say is adapt or GTFO. I've wanted an update like this for a long time. And of course when it comes everybody whines because NOBODY LIKES ANY CHANGE. Stop looking at the past with rose tinted glasses, the game sucked back in 2004.

Tbh 20 mins into a waterfiend trip and I'm already used to the new system. Loving the possibility of items giving const or draining const. Reducing / increasing max hp sounds win. Btw, for anyone who dosen't know wha that means, if you boost your const your HP will regenerate up to your new max and you can also use any food to heal it as well. So a weapon that drains const = a weapon that can lower your opponent's max HP. BTW, I'd be interested to see how nomad's special attack works now. Is it based on max const or current const?

Well according to the formula given, the initial multiplier is 2.88. Not sure why they said approximately 2.7, maybe that was the average over the first hour (which IS actually 2.71).

Wow, this is better than I expected. So I made a neat spreadsheet to see how much exp I'd gain with my current charms: [hide][/hide] Wow, 93-98 summoning, did NOT expect that. By the way, the multiplier is automatically calculated using the formula Jagex provided, using the cumulative total charms used in that section divided by the assumed pouches made per hour. After this the multiplier of the PREVIOUS section (the actual "lowest" multiplier, not the average one that is shown) is calculated, added to the current multiplier, and divided by two. So basically each multiplier is the average multiplier for that interval. So, to get 99 summoning: [hide][/hide] Not all that much more work to do :-) Though obviously I'm going to get a bit more than that figure as I want to be SURE to have enough for 99.

Just because you're only temp banned at the moment doesn't mean it won't be changed to perm.

1000 days and 2179 total? Damn, I'm 2190 total and not even at the 200 day mark yet. Wonder what his total exp / bank looked like. Anyway he just flushed 3 years of his life down the toilet, should have known better than to abuse a bug. Hell myself I've been tempted lately to use my C++ knowledge to make myself an autoclicker (with randomized intervals) but I won't even do that even though I'm almost positive they couldn't detect it. Just because I try to have respect for the rules.

I'm maxed combat so basically if I get crashed by someone the same level weather I "fail" or not comes down to luck. Probably what will end up happening is I get half the kills. I'm not going to waste my time with that, if I get crashed I just hop. But yes, I have every right to complain you tool. If you haven't an ounce of courtesy in your veins then I have less than zero respect for you. Of course, people like you don't care about respect, do you? You just take, take, take. And btw your logic is completely stupid. "If I'm getting beaten up in school by stronger kids, it's my fault since I should go work out more". "If I'm getting beaten up in school by kids of the same strength, I should take Karate". "If I get beaten up by a girl, it's my fault because I FAIL LOLOLOL". Yeah no. And yes it can be compared, both are basically bullying.

DIY you do have two weeks. Also I woudln't blame the buy-out all on merchants. It's normal players stocking up. Did I say it was merchants? I know all normal players look for opportunities like this too. That's the point. If it was just merchant clans like Jagex suggested it would be in the FAQ, it wouldn't be nearly as bad. And yes I'm DIY'ing. Mined some granite, bought tons of yak hides, but iron plates? Well I can get 20 of those a day from NPCs, but otherwise I have to rely on GE. I could make them but then again iron bars are unbuyable on GE. Iron ORE is unbuyable on GE. So I'd have to mine 5k iron ore, smelt it, then make them into plates. Yeah no. Probably best just to mine some more granite and collect a few more crimsons. Ultimately my point is this makes things extremely annoying for people who don't want to train on "EXP weekends". If Jagex does this constantly people will always be waiting for exp weekends to train. That's not the kind of game I want, frankly.
-
Well it's not so much the easier exp that bothers me. I'm going to deeply enjoy getting 99 summoning (or close) for less than half the effort and cash. It's that literally every raw material is unbuyable on GE. From herbs all the way down to crap like regular bones. And more annoyingly, super sets and prayer potions. I wouldn't even mind having to go through merchants except that to do that I'd have to have commodities or pay a hyper-inflated price for junk-added trades (which are actually uncommon, usually people don't have junk and ask for commodities).
-
Well I think this experiment of their has ultimately failed. Announcing two weeks prior only meant two weeks of everything being unbuyable. And the exp is really way too generous. They sure as hell better go through with it seeing as the damage to the economy has already been done, and at this point it would be kind of a [bleep] move to cancel it. But after this one they should never do it again. EVER.
-
Exactly why they should have just done this unannounced. Sure I wouldn't be able to get an insane amount of summoning exp because I wouldn't be prepared (I'm camping at wfiends in CT 24/7 atm LOL), but at least then the prices would only be crazy for two days and settle back down afterward.
-
Well march 11 I'm parking my dude at summoning obelisk with crimsons, 500k shards, and an inventory full of nail beast charms. Fastest 70k summoning exp ever... :twss:

Just collected herbs from MTK and sold on GE. Everything sold for max instantly... Well, there goes any hope of training herblore via herb cleaning FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS. This kinda reminds me of the new law in the US where credit card companies are being forbidden to change rates on their customer's balance without a prior notice of 45 days. So they have 1 year's warning before the law goes into effect. So what do they do? Jack up everyone's rates of course! Jagex may have thought that this would make things easier and cheaper, but all they're doing is screwing everyone over in the time before the weekend. Merchants pretty much rule the economy so if they see any opportunity where certain items are going to be in demand, they buy it out. In this case, everything is in demand. So... they're having a field day.

Seriously, what the hell is up with this crap? In one tormented demon trip I've been crashed TWICE. First one failed miserably, died and came back and cussed me because he lost part of his karils (much to my delight), second one was a fail nerd with a titan who referred to himself as a "proper e-thug" when I asked him WTF. So of course I lured all the demons onto him, which nearly got both me and him killed. Are you bastards seriously so lazy that you can't hop? Or do you just enjoy making [bleep]s of yourselves? I'm really starting to hate this generation of Scapers. Bunch of miserable trolls... ...of course, I'm probably just feeding you losers right now. You know who you are...
