  1. What they actually should be concentrating upon is the multiplayer part of the game. Bring out more updates that require teamwork. Teamwork leveling (a slayer monster that needs to be attacked in two different attack styles as one, a fishing net so big it can only be handled by two people, etc. You get the idea). Put these updates in lost quest areas.
  2. I doubt I have enough charms for that. I only just started playing again.
  3. I had stopped playing runescape for half a year or so and was mostly a slayer (lvl 88). I started again not too long ago because of the changes. I was doing abyssal demons in my normal old-skool outfit: black mask, berserker ring, fury, rune platebody, D-skirt, rune boots, whip and Toktz-ket-xil -Shield. And i carry with me full guthan of course for healing. All the other people were wearing the 3rd age and stuff I don't recognize. Then I got a whip drop. I did a quick price check on the dragon boots (they hadn't been around when I last played), bought them with GE. Checked the Torag price. Only around slightly above 500k for legs and body plate. So I got that. Now I am just slugging it out at the abyssals with actually quite nice defense stats, even though the whole outfit didn't costs much at all. I'm not really worried about the degradation of the armour. I've been slaying a long time and it doesn't really cost much effort to fix it. I'm quite happy about my new outfit. I'm sure it doesn't look pretty, but I didn't mind the references to having just a d-skirt either. And the Gods of Runescape were favourable towards my decision to buy torag. I returned to the abyssal demons and within 5 kills I got another whip drop. Thank you. ---- Barrow armour is good stuff. I actually also have full dhorak. I use it for black demon tasks. It's great fun. Let my HP go down as low as 4-10, super strength pot, and keep slugging. That's the kind of thrill you don't get with 3rd age. Trying to get as low HP as possible by getting hit by black demons. And of course Guthans is standard stuff for slayers. I don't have any summoning levels. I'm just wondering if I should bother with torag at all. I could just wear guthans all the time and exchange the spear for shield, black mask and whip when not healing.
  4. Yes, sometimes, but with supercompost and magic secateurs I do not bother to check up on them. They die very rarely this way.
  5. I got a zerker some time ago. I just hope that over time the possible +1 max hit will add up.
  6. By playing the minigame Manage thy kingdom you can get them for 56gp each I believe. And free bird's nests on top of that. We would welcome a price raise of maples to 3k each. Just like we would welcome a world without war. Neither of them is going to happen.
  7. I found it a bit boring. The advantage is of course that you can put on all prayer bonuses as well as having free protection prayer. And I was hitting nicely there, but there are no real drops (besides bones). So it gets a bit monotonous. I was also loaded up on super str and att pots when I was doing it. If you don't mind the boredom it is a decent place.
  8. When there wasn't pure ess yet, f2p people were mining ess for a living. The price was fluctuating around 30 each. The bots came and flooded the market. Jagex was forced to invent pure ess. The price of ess went up. Hence bots in fact increased the price of essence, NOT lowered it. And they ruined a clean money making activity for f2pers. Hence there is nothing positive about autoers regarding ess. The same principle can be applied to other raw material. If the bots weren't there actual people would be able to skill and make money to skill more. Now it all comes down to a small group of people who buy gp with real money. They use it for expensive activities on runescape, such as staking, buying party hats, easy skilling. In conclusion I fail therefore to see anything positive about autoers, bots, macroers. The game would run fine without them. The game is castrated for a group of people with them; i.e the people in need to make gp with low skill levels.
  9. The prices could drop a bit if there would be more rannar seed droppers. I haven't had a rannar seed in ages because high level slayer monsters do not drop them because they are relatively a low level herb. That said, I never bought a prayer pot in my runescape career. I could always sustain myself. Even sold 500 p pots at one point early on. Obviously I feel stupid now for doing that because the central dogma for runescape seems to be to never sell items that can be used for skilling.
  10. I don't like the chaos druid warriors. They don't drop good ones that often. I was there last time for 15 minutes and had gotten 1 decent herb. better to stick with regular chaos druids. If you the stats to handle them aberrant specters rule. As for rannar seeds I would stick to moss giants as suggested in a previous thread, although I seem to remember that earth warriors were dropping them too.
  11. only if you play an abnormal amount of hours per day. it took me half a year to reach 85 by playing 1-2 hours a day. So that will be several years for 99. Currently heading for 90 slayer with my 88 slayer right now.
  12. Autoers ruin the enjoyment of the game. They ruined good training sites. They ruined good money making ways for the disciplined player willing to work. If you really feel the need to auto you can play the Manage Thy Kingdom (MTK) minigame. Official bots work for you collecting maples, herbs, flax, coal etc. You just pay the gold coins to keep them working. Since there is an official way to auto it is impossible to argue that illegal autoers should remain. The official autoers already can fill a niche for the active player. In fact, I do not have enough time to process all the stuff I get from MTK. The beauty of MTK is that it doesn't ruin training spots for other people. In short, autoers are not a necessity and they ruin certain gaming elements. Hence they should be actively hunted down.
  13. The lucky abyssal task (the one where you do get a whip in contrast to the ones you don't) with a whip, a few rune chains. Never had that in combination with a clue though. Or not so long ago a iron dragon task where I got a d skirt and a few rune b axes. Also had 6 or so rune boots from one nech task. Had a jelly task not to long ago where I got several clues, one of which gave a sara plate. That was 1.1 million. Almost a whip. So many decent drops I forgot most. And what I mostly wonder about is where all my money went!!!!!!
  14. prayer book, monks robes, super att, super str, whip and something on your feet, and black d'hide body and legs, 1 prayer pot, the rest cheap food such as salmon, dramen staff. teleport to camelot. Of course, i wear nosepeg. Also have berserker instead of ROW. Usually leave my fury at home so I can use glory for edgeville teleport. And runeboots. I teleport to edgeville. go to the fairy ring. Go to the slayer tower. I first wear my black d'hide and no protection prayer. Just use my cheap food. I collect all herbs avantoe and above. If my food runs out I switch to monks robes and protection against magic prayer. Usually I can fill my inventory before my free prayer runs out. I teleport to camelot. Get new free prayer (don't have a house where i can top up prayer.). Go back to edgeville, stock up on cheap food/dump the load of herbs. back to the slayer tower with the fairy ring. It's not fast though. I need 3 runs this way. It is cheap though since you only need the prayer pot you take along occasionally. The only way to do it fast is to use prayer pots all the way and ignore most drops since you will get much more nice herbs than you can carry. You could just collect the rannars and above. I usually don't opt for staying there for one long session since I usually also get a clue scroll and I train herblore. So I want my nice herbs.
  15. Beggers are ignored. I do go sometimes to f2p and play a bit there with a friend. He always asks me how I can stand it. i ask what? The begging. I honestly did not notice but several people have been begging me. Too many negative experiences I guess. Begging doesn't register any more. Maybe it is also because I have children myself. I'm also immune to their begging. But we all know how it goes. They beg. You give something. They beg more. And the standard stuff such as 'lost everything in wildy' or 'i got hacked'. How can you lose everything in wildy? It's not possible. Unless you are skulled which means you went to the wildy risking everything on purpose. Questions I answer. That's not begging. ---- I also have the problem with small time buyers. Sometimes they stand there in a bank asking to buy an addy axe or something similar cheap. I trade them. They ask how much? At this point it has become all a waste of my time so I either click on on accept and give it for free or click the trade window away and move on, depending on my mood and the perception I got of the person I am trading with. If someone asks for a few basic runes I usually give them for free. People asking for a law I usually trade since strangely enough they can stand there asking for a law quite a long time some times. I don't really care about the money.
  16. I do 150 black demons with dharok in the same time i do 150 kalphites the regular way.
  17. I either dhorak them or just wear guthan. Dhorakking is pretty fast if you let you hp sink. I usually go as low as 5. They hit 16 max or something like that. So I usually remove protection from melee once my hp hits above 20. It's risky but fun. and i use super att and str pots of course.
  18. How embarrassing. I was running from camelot all the time..
  19. jellies are easy to kill an drop lvl3 clue scrolls. best is of course abyssal demons since they lvl 3 clues AND whips. I just do my slayer tasks. Most of the tasks concerns beasts, monsters or other vile animal scum that drop lvl3 clues anyway. I already had 2 clues with my abyssal demon task. And also two clues with the jelly task before that. best treasure of these 4 clues was a dark cav. Rest was all rune armour/weapon/black d'hide...and the obligatory purple firelighters. grrrr.
  20. Oh dear, I have never even done the Black Knights' Fortress quest.
  21. My kudos to f2p players btw. I was training a bit at the lessers in a f2p world yesterday because my friend was there. Normally I am in p2p worlds doing slayer. I was in full rune and was barely hitting 20s, more often 10+s or zeros with my rune weapon. I was getting hit quite a lot to despite 95 def. It was fun though. Reminded me of the old days. Going fishing at karamja. Cooking lobbies. Running to the lessers to do some more. rinse and repeat. But, oh my, did training go slow!! With my black mask and slayer I hit 36s and a lesser task would have been done rather quickly. Not so in f2p. I bow before pure f2pers!
  22. When I do iron and steel dragons I bring a super att and super str pot for each anti-fire pot. Each time I drink some anti-fire I also take a super att and str. Works quite well. The pots are no problem for me, because I do train herblore a bit.
  23. Chaos Druid Warrior drop them too. And herbs of course. located in agility dungeon, yanille.
  24. Just push on with Zanaris. Soon you will be 100 combat and then you simply go to shilo. Learn how to deal with bad tasks by doing them efficiently. Needless to say that metal dragons will always take time and if time is that precious burthrope them. But all other stuff basically can be done. Some assignments might be better than others, but if you learn to do them all efficiently you don't have to burthrope much anymore. I don't really burthrope much at all. Haven't done so for weeks.
  25. I'm lvl 114 p2p. Nobody follows me around or trades me. Not even if I go into f2p to dump rune scimmies and such. Maybe it is because I am mostly training and don't stay near populated areas for very long.
