You are right that the "tunnel" brother will appear at the chest, but only if you don't find him elsewhere first - or he doesn't find you :D In any event you can count on him popping out at the chest if he hasn't appeared earlier.

When I did this quest I eventually realized it was best to ditch all armour and just wear full mourners gear, which you have to have with you anyway. It saves inventory spots for prayer pots, the crystals and mirrors, as well as being very lightwieght. A duel ring in your ring spot will let you tele to castle wars bank when you need to and an unholy symbol gives offensive bonuses rather than defense, which you won't need if you are praying. As far as a weapon goes, I would take mace or dds - you don't really Have to fight, or kill, the shadows but sometimes you just want to take one out because it is interfering, a mace will at least give you a bit of a prayer bonus while still hitting well. Guthix book is good, zammy might be better but only marginally. You will definitely need to tele a few times so don't worry about taking death tally until you are almost thru the maze. Pray the entire time if you need to. Good luck with this quest, you have a very good guide here on Tip.it. :D

Indeed you don't. If your link is correct then you should have no problem at all ranging the demon with 57 range level. Just protect from magic and range from a distance. I found this quest to be all about potions and range. :D

That is not true. I don't know of a specific beginners guide but Tip.it's Barrows guide is really, really good. Here is the link if you haven't read it: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=barrows_guide.htm#attplan2 That combined with the Barrows without Prayer guide linked above should give you some really great info :D

Agility shortcut not working ? Please Help!!
Chartres replied to VortexxM's topic in Help and Advice
The only other thing I can think of is you have temporarily lowered your agility stats somehow. Check them and see, maybe you were at Barrows or something right before? If not, I would send a bug report about it. -
Have a look at this guide, I think it shows what you might have seen or read: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=373132&start=1

Agility shortcut not working ? Please Help!!
Chartres replied to VortexxM's topic in Help and Advice
I wonder if it is only a one-way shortcut. Did the other player go the same direction you are unable to go? I have only used it going from the stronghold to the outpost, myself. -
Indeed you can. And if he shows up in a spot where don't want to fight him (no safe spot) just run past, he will show up again when you open the doors to the room/hallway where you do want him. :D

It enhances the beckon emote. Besides dont drop it you can store it in your house. Where? In the armour wardrobe.
-
Nope, that's the beauty of it, especially if it is fairly close to your portal and altar. Unlimited use :D

I have a glory ammy mounted in the quest hall of my house - a very good investment. Also, I make my own house teletabs so they cost me nothing. You could take the House teleport runes instead but it takes up extra inventory. If you don't avail yourself of either of those options or a friend to keep burners lit it may in fact be faster to run back and forth to Yanille bank. You should test it. Good luck with getting your prayer levels though :) Edited to ask: What burners are you building in your chapel? I'm curious because I built marble ones based on the information in the Runescape Knowlege Base but posters here say you only need the mahogany burners to get the maximum prayer experience. It's a huge difference in cost and I'm not willing to rip out my marble ones just to test it. :?
-
I will quote myself from my post above :) : I found this faster than running to and from Yanille bank. Just keep a stack of house teletabs in your inventory and either use your mounted glory or the one you are wearing to tele to the bank, take out a load of bones and 2 marrentils and a tinderbox if you don't have a helper, and break a house teletab to get back to your altar. It really goes very quickly - especially with a friend to keep burners lit.
-
Sounds like you are on the part where you need to go to Canifis maybe? Sorry, I can't really tell from your post where in the quest you are. What does your quest journal say, maybe that will help.
-
Yes, but they won't unnote them either.
-
But if it is a task in his assignment list he won't change it. In other words, if it is something he would assign to you if you went to him in the first place, he's not going to give you something different.
-
I believe if it is a task he himself would assign, you are stuck with it. Oh well, you will make pretty quick work of Crawling Hands
-
If you have them in note form in your inventory, he most certainly can. A butler will unnote any noted item in your inventory. However, he will only bring select Construction Materials directly from your bank. My butler will have nothing to do with bones. I usually get a friend to keep my burners lit while I use my mounted glory to tele to bank for a load of bones and then use a house teletab back. It's my understanding that other servants won't unnote bones either

Nice Farming level :) These are all the quests I know of that give farming experience: A Fairy Tale Part I Enlightened Journey Forgettable Tale of a Drunken Dwarf Garden of Tranquility My Arm's Big Adventure Recipe for Disaster Rum Deal - This one gives like 7k experience My advice, plant tree seeds all the way if you can. Managing your kingdom after Royal Trouble quest will give you loads of tree seeds if you set your workers to cutting maples. I got a lot of farming levels this way.

Just my opinion but I think Rock Crabs are too low and slow for a level 62 with good defense. They are really good experience and for a one defense/low defense pure I would agree to stick with them, but not in this case. They are also really crowded at times and are only for members. Again, it's just another option.
-
If you want fast experience with no regard for drops/loot, then go to the red spiders in the Varrock sewer. This works for both members and non-members and should serve you well for about 10 combat levels if you can stand it :D The benefit is that they will continuously attack you so no need to click on them, when they stop attacking, run back into the sewers to reset them.

Check your bank for a "Battered Key".

Just the ring :)

Heh, I don't blame you with all the cautionary advice, Trolls do hit hard though. The nice thing about Slayer is that you still get experience even if you decide to Burthorpe the task after you have started it, so it's always worth it to give a try to a new monster assignment. As to the spiders, maybe the red ones in the Varrock sewer or Edgeville dungeon would be good?
