You have bad luck. It is pretty evident through an examination of multiple drop logs that hilts are about half as common as sara swords. I saw a drop log with 5k+ kills from a reliable person with a 1/525 hilt rate and like a 1/105 SS rate so its around a 1:5 hilt:otherdrop rate, which is the same for most bosses I have had around 20 sword splits and got 8 solo swords and never seen a hilt. I have the world's worst hilt luck

Agreed. Though you could swap the mage book. High defence would be DFS. Epic mage setup would be an arcane SS. Fire cape is probably the best there as it has the +1 attack. Ummmm, if we knew your summoning we could advise a wolpertinger, or perhaps mage pots/extreme mage. The best cape for mage is the god capes as they have +10 mage attack...

A lot of quest bosses disappear if it takes too much time to kill them. How are you fighting? Well the guide on here says I can just use combat and run if I wanted to so I did that, but I guess I will have to use all the different types of spells too. Might want to add something to the guide on the site about this. Unless they've changed it since I did the quest (maybe 4 years ago..) there was a rock you could hide behind without taking damage and wait for the it to turn orange and hit it with a sword...

How much would it cost? How long would it take? What potions should be made? How does it compare with 95 prayer for cost and usefulness? I pretty much only monster hunt.. Assume I'm max melee/range/mage with 96 summon and 81 prayer That will be all, thank you :)

Not with void, diamonds and eagle eye :D :D :D You last like 4 kills when you go DKs in void. Anywho maybe someone who has done rex-prime before could shed some light on this. Nah, I used to solo tribrid in void, helm switching with ranger boots dfs fury sgs. At a very minimum you need dfs, sgs and unicorn (not that anything else is better..). I havn't tried it since I started playing again (11 month break, started 3 days ago). But it used to be awesome. Without cannoning that's probably the highest kills/minute at dks. I did it in world 2 as well. I think I have a vid of it somewhere on my laptop as I was going to make a guide.. hmm.. I want to try it again with those new potions but I'm only lvl 65 herblore :(

shop updates that jagex made now limit how much each shop has in stock per day so now you cant get them unlimitidly like you could before. Cool, I've never known them to go back on a decision before.. But prices did get messed up a little when they brought in unlimited stock
