Bossing questions
You don't have to but it would help. It lets you eat the raw shark drops. There are raw lob drops too though, I think there is a guide in the AoW.

Your 126cmb, so you can crash me, right?
I've started to get crashed at rock lobs, even though I'm barraging with max mage bonus and I'm 99 mage/136 combat. But if I'm looking for a world to barrage in - they'll all be used if it's a peak time, then I'll crash anyone who isn't barraging. I have better gear and a stronger spell than them, so tough luck. Chances are they won't be able to burst any more lobs in ghostly robes till it's the middle of the night so they should stop whining about it.

Bossing questions
Why bother with slayer? You're better off camping unless you are going for max total (400+ days of game play). Everyone seems to love slayer on this forum for some reason. You can get better melee xp/charms elsewhere (WATERFIENDS, fantastic XP and obviously great for charms). If you can camp there for 88 summoning with a ZS you'll have nice melee stats to go with it. Efficiency wise, slaying is better than camping- the slower melee xp rate is balanced by the charms, slayer xp and loot. But if you just want to boss hunt then you're better off not training with slayer, getting your range and melees into the 90s and 88 summoning earlier by camping. I recently had a summoning goal (96) and started slaying tasks to get there. It's about half the charm rate of waterfiends and I quickly gave up. I personally find slayer more frustrating and boring than camping fiends for charms. At max melee I get 80k xp/hour at waterfiends, but there are spots where I could get 120k XP/hour with less charm drops. You'll need 20m to buy everything you need for camping 90+ melees at waterfiends, and you'll make probably 30m back in drops. You could also barrage rock lobs for charms after training melee in a very fast spot. When going for my 99s, I managed to break the 150k melee xp/hour mark in the tunnels under ape atol. (Max str gear + piety + salve (e)). If I were to do it all again I don't think I would train slayer at all.

Saradomin godswords uses for slayer
you appear to be missing combat familiars and super/extreme sets... You would probably have been 99 slayer months ago using pure sets..

Waterfiends
120 crims per hour in ancient cavern with iron titan, karils and ss. Probably 105-110 per hour with geyser titan

Good alternative to claws for special attack
Those suggesting dark bow, would you be using rune arrows and mage short bow for the non-spec range shots then? Otherwise changing helm/wep/ammo/prayer/clicking spec bar all in one turn is pretty impossible..

Dragon bones price
Thanks to the replies. I am now thinking back to the point where I bought 50m of dragon bones for 99 prayer, then sold them as I thought it was too much. 50m worth gets me to level 89 now. fml

Main or Range Tank?
To be honest, if you like pking so much you might want to stay range tank. You can never go back once you're trained melee. I chose to move on, I pk every now and then with other maxed mains, but it's nothing like when I used to pk as a range tank. That was in the proper wilderness though. Do whatever you enjoy best. I preferred monster hunting over pking.

Main or Range Tank?
I was a maxed range tank for a few years, now I'm an almost maxed main. I'd take being 136 combat over being a range tank anyday. I'd probably rather have an account with flat 90s than have 99 range and def on it. Melee just wins :)

Dragon bones price
I'd like to know if or when the price of dragon bones will start to actually decrease. I notice that they have been rising for the entire 180 days graph, are there merchers holding a ton of bones or is the demand actually legit from would-be turmoilers? I still have nearly 100m to earn before I will be buying bones for 99 prayer, but this will increase as the price of bones increases. Should I buy as many bones as I can now and keep going with minimal cash/supplies? I DK/GWD for money.

Barraging on defence style
Or melee/range defence?

Need a new slayer setup.
I really think you should work on getting a fire cape, unless your internet connection happens to be consistently poor. If your internet is likely to kick you off the game within the 90 minutes it takes then don't attempt it- that's very frustrating. Although the prayer switching is one of the only aspects of runescape that take true 'skill', it is really not that hard. The supplies should cost around 200k too, if you include a borrowed SGS. Fire cape also looks pro :)

Firecape V.S Skill Capes (t)
Firecape wins for both looks and stats. If you have a low combat then it comes with a lot of respect too.

Need a new slayer setup.
Firecape, Zerker, Fury, Tassets, Bandos Chestplate, Dragon claws In that order

The F2P General Discussion Thread
I'd also appreciate a bury-x feature. My wrists hurt. Screw big bones, I wish they'd let F2p buy dragon bones, it'd be a huge market boost for P2p. The market for dragon bones definitely does not need boosting. They have doubled in price in the last few months. The last thing they need is more demand.

autoers still a problem?
Hmm.. *how can I abuse runescape to make irl gps*.. I owe £12k to the student loans company already.. fml

The Most Clan Merchanted Items (F2P/P2P)
Also it makes great junkish item, they never sell b/c no one makes them/knows of them (like 200m to do 1k pots) but they do have a ton of cash value I'm confused by this. Currently clean torstols are 24k, and a torstol potion(unf) is 4k. 20k loss per pot from what you're suggesting.. What? That is for Snapdragon potions not torstol No, that's torstol. Torstol herb atm is 24.5k market price torstol unf potion is 4087 gp market price. Yes, so how can you make money from that?!

Void Mace.
Yeah, the relaxing dag kings make a nice break from TDs. I still say get it back, it'll take around 2-3 hours but it is nice to hit those 330s :) Worth it if you are doing alot of claws of guthix spells.

Manipulation Clans
Ditto. With careful observation you can buy an item in bulk for minimum and sell for maximum during the same update. I'd rather do that then worry about how legit the merching clan who's back I am riding on is, and how soon they were going to dump. Yeah this rant is a pretty common one, and probably my only gripe with runescape. I hate being told 'i'll have to wait a few days, that item is currently being merched'. Meaning it is near impossible to get one, and I should just make do without. It's even worse when monster hunting or pking supplies are bought out, meaning that I can't do the only things in the game I really enjoy. It makes me rage quit. I'm also sure it's against the rules. Pre grand exchange you used to get banned for making a thread on the official forums that encouraged price manipulation.

Void Mace.
Hmm cool. Barrage is really overrated, it's only good for hitting rock lobs and hybrid PvPing I guess. It was much much cooler when every hit covered each target in a cube of ice, not that lame splash thing there is now. I got 70-92 mage at barrows and DKs, then 92-99 barraging rock lobs. In answer to your question, yes get void mace back

Barraging on defence style
I'm pretty sure it's 1 xp for each for each point of damage you do. Plus the base xp you get for casting the spell. The ratio will depend on your average hit with barrage, which depends on how many NPCs you are hitting.. The base xp for barrage is 52. Ie. it's pretty hard to calculate a ratio. You'll have to do 1k barrages and see how much xp you get for each skill. Edit: If you were barraging rock lobs, you could probably assume that on average, you are hitting 4.5 lobsters per cast. Each cast has a max hit of 300 (adjust for the staff bonuses). We can also assume that you hit 150 on average, which is half the max hit. This is not quite right, as each spell has a chance of failing (splashing) in addition to hitting a 0. But anyway; The average XP you'd get using the above assumptions would be: 52 + 150*4.5 = 727 magic xp 150*4.5 = 675 defence xp So the ratio would be 727/675 = 1.08 magic xp per defence xp, rather than the 1:1 ratio you were expecting. The ratio will become more skewed towards magic if you are hitting less targets and more equal if you were hitting more targets. From your 270k mage xp you would likely get maybe 150k mage xp and 120k defence xp. Educated guess.

Void Mace.
I was hitting 330s with void mace at dks. Once I hit 96 summoning (1600 crims left!) I'm going back to dks but I'm going to use fire surge. Hits nearly the same and you can use staff of light. Could consider that if you have 95 mage.

Fastest cape I did was under an hour, I think it was something like 52 minutes. I used void, diamond bolts and eagle eye when I got to the 360s. SGS is pretty important with void. I'm maxed too which helps.

You can autocast with the normal god staves. I don't know if they still give you the 10% bonus or not
