  1. somebody needs a sarcasm detector...
  2. Well in the spirit of most other replies: not wear contact lenses, what kind of person likes to put plastic in their eyes? And less offensively: Isn't the idea of using house teleport that you arrive in your house where you won't lose your items when dying, and will reappear in the house. If that is the case, pray to the real God that you click the correct appendage (may require you to find religion first, it's your own fault if that takes too long).
  3. I don't think you can class ignoring somone as harrasment. One (1) hours notice is probably not long enough to get lots of people together in one place. Im sorry this happened, but i merely reflects our society as a whole these days.
  4. You cannot seriously use quests in this argument. Quests are a huge part of Runescape but once you have completed a quest you probably wont stay in the quest areas forever, theres hardly anyone doing Desert Treasure at this precise moment or Underground Pass or Mournings End, but I don't see that makes them "fads" or bad updates. Quests are not designed to take weeks to complete, people wouldn't like that. Don't claim that lack of people doing a quest after they have completed it makes it a "fad".
  5. I really don't see why you would want to use a quartic regression curve, it would seem much more appropriate to use a curve tha increases over its entire length, for example an exponential curve. A quartic will at some point bend the other way, to have a negative gradient, although this will probably be in an irrelevant region. Infact you could probaby achieve a good looking curve with any higher even order you wanted. With regards to the impossibility of the quintic formula, this is I believe true. The calculator does not use a formula it uses a numerical aproximation method, probably with succesive iterations of Newton-Raphson or similar methods. Also can't you use your USB connector to send that graph to your computer as an image? And actually Casio is much better than TI :D
  6. a question that isnt meant to be answered is a retorical question, hypothetical questions are ones that are purly to see what could happen ina situation, e.g. hypothetically how fast would i be able to make money with unlimited prayer and 99 mage at barrows, or something like that Well in my opinion, you just asked the 'theoretical' question for which n64jive has been searching (see a topic about economy and merchanters). A rhetorical question is indeed the type of question that is not intended to be answered. I believe a hypothetical question is actually a question about an event that hasn't actually happened (or whose happening is not the relevant point) used to support an argument. Perhaps we should all go and find a dictionary next time we want to pose a specific type of question or comment on someones ability to employ said type. Back on topic: Well its his fault, he had the second window, if he contacted you within a day or so of the event and you really felt guilty then give it back. In my opinion you have no reason to do this after several hours have passed, its not your fault. And whilst It would be nice if you dropped some nice shiny stuff for us, I don't really think that would change the fact that that guy lost 'loads' of money.
  7. Why have you spelt it "jappanese" many times? You really could make more effort with your english, "lccass" Japanese is one of those languages written in symbols. Won't that make teaching it quite difficult when you cannot write those symbols? So I assume you will be teaching modern Japanese which utilises the latin alphabet. This will not be very helpful in reading properly written Japanese, which uses many chinese symbols and has several different forms. Anyway I suppose we should support you for attempting to impart knowledge, so have fun with that.
  8. not to mention the very valuable one-click teleportation device that came from that quest, namely the ectophial. Many consider this to be a very usful item when venturing into dangerous areas.
  9. Why? It is a hypothetical situation, a proposition (that he has the money) used for the sake of his argument. it is not a theory, he does not need nor intend to prove his statement to be correct. Well thats my understanding anyway. Back on topic: If everyone bought and sold everything at the same price, there would be no merchanting and no easily accesible large amount of any particular good. It is not the selling for a small profit on non-rare items that causes problems for the economy, probably the opposite, but trading in rares as people are ever more desperate to have them, merchanting of rares is driven by greed as they have the highest profit margin, if people stopped paying these ridiculous prices the merchanters would be ruined. This would perhaps fix the current problem, it could however lead to a recession, which doesn't sound fun.
  10. obviously that guy's son is a snail
  11. Do any of you really think summoned monsters would be allowed to attack other players outside of the wilderness/PvP areas? Do you really think Jagex would allow that? So how long did that skeleton bug last for?
  12. What you think sushi is morally right?? less randomly: if people are so weak minded as to take things they see in a game literally then they shouldn't be allowed out of their straight jacket. And while you're at it make sure they don't watch the TV, or listen to any politicians either.
  13. What really annoys me is people on whichever world who don't understand tactics, and won't listen to ideas on how to win. If there aren't enough higher levelled players, don't try and attack every portal at once, you always lose.
  14. perhaps you should consider adding credits to the bottom of the list.
  15. That is exactly what I thought, and what I did as well lol, using the opposite colour on the wheel was not obvious at all. Those darn shadowy creatures, and those darn agility handholds. Painful memories.
