You don't get willow tree seeds, you get a small willow tree from a nursery (I've planted a willow tree before). Buy the small willow tree, and take it home. It could quite possibly be as tall or taller than you, so make sure you bring a vehicle such as a truck to take it home in. Once you get home, find a spot to plant it in, preferably a damp place where the soil doesn't have a sandy texture to it. Also, as Indy has mentioned, put it in a place where you won't have to mow near it, since the tree's branches droop very low and this could be a problem when mowing. The trees can get quite big over the span of just a few years, and they shed their leaves every Winter, and trust me, there are a lot of leaves after awhile, so make sure you initially plant it in an area where you won't make your neighbors mad when your tree's leaves fall onto their property. :P They also drip sap from time to time, so don't plant it in an area where someone may park under it. Anyway, when you get to the planting part, you want to dig a hole about two feet wide and three to four feet deep. Place the small tree in the hole and fill it in with dirt. If possible, buy some mulch to put on top of the dirt. this will help it retain water a little better if you live in an area that gets dry during any part of the year. Then, water the tree every other day or so. Make sure you give it lots of water. It's a tree, not a little potted plant. :P You can put fertilizer in the soil too when you water it. If you decide to buy the mulch, make sure you check it after few months to see if you need to add more. :D I hope this has helped. And I wish you luck with your little tree. :P
