Ok so runecrafting is one of my least favorite skills. While it's entirely beneficial, I just can't bring myself to do all that work for barely any experience per hour and dealing with graahks and the abyss was getting annoying. So I'm looking for advice from experienced RCers and people who play a lot of Great Orb Project: Is it worth it to stockpile GOP tokens and buy alter tabs? I'd most likely do deaths (44 tokens ea) so I can use the runes for bursting ice crabs. I know I would need ALOT of GOP games to get tokens for tabs to be worth it, but how fast can I get say: 40k tokens? How long do the members games last? I know you only get tokens if you win the rounds, but regardless, with the added xp from the essence I get per round: is it worth it? Or should I jut stick to graahking natures/using the abyss for deaths?

wow I can't refute that evidence. Good work. Really, I'm impressed :-#. To be completely honest I was just speaking from memory. I remember them saying one thing, and doing another, and there were rants because of it. Hell it was years ago, most of that information has been erased from my memory and replaced with Molecular Cell Biology and Physiology. :twss: I guess I see why an rsc event isn't remembered as much as the massacre, but at the time it was all over the internet. People were doing interviews and were trying to figure out how the dupe was done. Every single rs forum was flooded with news on it (I was part of 2 or 3 forums then). While jagex stated that no hats were removed besides the ones on the banned accounts, there were people with huge amounts of them who quit because of the huge price plummet. They went from stockpiling the most expensive item in the game waiting for them to rise to stockpiling an item they just lost millions upon millions from, which was ALOT of money at the time. Just think, people alching millions worth in 2006 was different than people losing millions in 2003. Most of those people made their money merchanting r2hs from Zezima and other people at 98 smithing looking for 99, or people with 99 looking for massive xp (I made the vast majority of my rsc money during this time buying rune bars for 50k ea and selling r2hs for 300-350k ea and bought myself a few party hats to play around with). There were rumors that Chewy Shoe had a HUGE stack of pink party hats from his connections with the smithers, and was one of the first to bring this method of money making/merchanting to the table. I vaguely remember a blog about it, and possibly proof of his hats. If I remember correctly, he disappeared when the hats crashed. If that was all true, there was a amount of hats missing during that time. Although this doesn't make a huge difference now with people like chessy018 with 5 stacks of max cash or w/e running around, back then it was a big deal. Just saying, you have to take the year into perspective. 18 million gp now might is pocket change to some people, but then it was a way to separate the wealthy from the "just getting by".

I'm not sure if you were able to read our last edition, but the party hat dupe did make the top 10 at #8. If you are saying it should've been higher I might be able to see your point. Perhaps you could elaborate a bit more on this... I mean it should be top 5 overall, taking the place of the falador massacre. While in the massacre a few people gained/lost millions, in the party hate dupe, a lot more people gained/lost. You also have some of your information wrong. There WAS a semi-roll back, where some of the party hats that were thought to have been duped were removed from the game. Jagex stated they couldn't track down every one, but they had a pretty good idea. How do I know this? Simply put, I had items taken away from me. They rolled back the game enough to fix most of the problems, and I remember there being a rant because of it. People were ranting because they lost items/skill xp due to the rollback. This manipulated the economy much more than the massacre, primarily due to the huge loses of some merchants who invested solely in pink party hats. People quit over this with banks of the hats hoping they'd rise back to the top again. And yes, while blue's became the most expensive because of the dupe, pinks went back up a little to overtake red again in the price spectrum.

depends on how good you are are the safe spots/not getting hit getting to them. when you get to the part with the rangers constantly attacking you near the end, you're going to want all the range defense you can get. At 80 defense, I'd use a shield.

don't use granite shield. It has a -8 range attack. D sq, DFS, or even the spirit shield would be better. I personally would use an unholy book for the prayer bonus and the +8 range attack since I have high defense. But I don't have luck with Jad and I disconnect everytime

No, that one seems right to me... unless you can prove a higher hit? Watch any AGS pking vids. You'll see hits in the 70s. Ive been hit with a 72 by a guy in veracs with AGS. EDIT: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=788688 First kill in this video has a 72 hit with AGS spec.

Armadyl Godsword spec isn't right. Says max hit with 99 strength, piety, super strength, and +121 strength bonus (bandos chest & tassets, fury, rune defender, barrows gloves, dragon boots, beserker ring) is 58...I'm 99% sure it's higher. The other godsword hits may be off too.
