Green Dragons, Ectofuntus, and the Elusive Prayer Bonus
Evrae replied to gonpost's topic in General Discussion
wouldn't a better way at the ectofunctus be to first get all of the buckets you need full of the liquid stuff, and bank them all, then do all the bones, and finally combine them? that way you have fewer lengthy trips up and down the stairs. -
i would say the bugs that jagex would ban people for are ecomomy crisis bugs, or player crisis ones, or any crisis ones like, duping, killing, or pvp thieveing or advantages would be major bugs, but just going to see a graphic or an ingame model bug, probably wouldnt be a crime i've hit a few model and graphic bugs in my lifetime 3 have been obtaining a p2p item on f2p(not in 3dbeta) Would 'duping' include duplicating quest items like an ammy of ghostspeak? I'm pretty sure Jagex never intended it to be possible so that could be 'bug abuse'. Of course, they'd never ban you for it *hopes*. How much does the onyx cost if you get tokkul by selling chaos runes?

I probablt would switch to a female character just for fun if it wasnt for my name. Robert Evrae is a bit of a wierd name for a female character!
-
off topic: speaking of crabs, what do you do with claws and shells? on topic: there seem to be two opinions on what the RoW does 1) It increases rune/ coin drops 2) it increases rare drops. Which is it?
-
But if everyone had known how valuable they would be, and kept them, would they now be as valuable?
-
What makes me laugh is all the lvl 3 people at lumby you get asking you to be their bf. Especially if your wearing interesting clothing.

I just realised that you can find out which quests give experience for a particular skill. This a really, really useful tool. I know there is one somewhere on these forums, but its a pain to get to. The KB will come in handy there.

Wow, the size on that one is very different from last time! As to the supermarket thing, people do moan about Tescos for being too successful. (Tescos is the main British supermarket, trying to break into the US market.)
-
This isn't a flame war, its a debate. The difference being, this hasn't got personal (yet  )
-
Sorry if i didnt make myself clear. If case 1 doesn't apply, then case two will. You dont need to speak to the game designers if proper notes have been made. If the haven't been made, case 2 applies
-
That small print was pretty small! At least you dont have your brother sneaking on and downloading *AHEM* 'adult material'.
-
I would just like to say that we have two possible reasons to moan about them. Case 1) They cant get their facts right about the game they run and have the info 'at their fingertips' for Case 2) They dont have the information, because its hidden in the game code. Thats even worse, since it means they havent kept comprehensive notes on everything they've done. That would be really bad for a company of tht size. I think we have a right to moan about the more basic things. Having said that, it is in BETA.
-
They did say its BETA. But that is a pretty basic mistake

The knowledge base doesn't have the one thing that makes fan sites great - a good community. Thats what makes tip.it great. Of course, the KB does replace a lot of what fan sites do, but its info they should provide anyway

i agree merchers i/m/o are fat guys who just try make money by typing and trading, no skill in that, even a lvl 3 can do it.... You speak as if lvl 3 people are idiots, somehow inferior to you. I am not a merchanter, but i wish i was (perhaps i will someday give it a try). It takes a lot of skill to find just the right prices to buy and sell at, more than just clicking on that tree, or a piece of coal. You just betray your jealousy, wrting those who are better than you off as idiots. [/flame] On topic: That hacker was pretty mean, but they had to find out somehow. Downloaded any autoers recently?

Dalcyte's guide to the best high alching places
Evrae replied to Dalcyte's topic in General Discussion
Is that the wierd place you get to from brimhaven as part of a quest (cant remember which one), that you need the magic whistles for? That is really quiet. -
[Tip] Very good way to have money if hacked.

If your not - why not???? A bank pin is a really, really good idea. It takes just a few seconds each time you log on, and can save your bank -
7 March 2006 - Canoeing, Zygomites and a Mole! (0's-O's)
Evrae replied to dragon312's topic in General Discussion
I'm thinking this might be a good way to train woodcutting - 150 exp for a waka canoe. Not much less than yew, and could be quicker. -
I doubt it will be too easy for higher levels. What it sounded like to me was that everyone from low levels to high levels can get something out of it. Hopefully you'll be able to do the lower level bits, then the higher levels later as well. All in all, this month sounds awesome!

That is really crazy. I once bought a fremmenik helm off someone for 5k less than what you get in the shop (i was a seers bank). One short trip to relleka and i was 5k richer (that was a lot for me then). This takes the prize for financial stupidity though!

solve mystery: over 60 lvl woodcutter not in hiscores?!
Evrae replied to robirops's topic in General Discussion
Its already been said several times that there was a system update. Unless...was your system update on the same world? Different worlds have them at different times (i think), so that could be it. -
what did you do when you first played runescape...
Evrae replied to upsilon5's topic in General Discussion
I hung around in lumbridge castle training my woodcutting and firemaking up to lvl 14! Then i thought that some other player would want to buy my 5 logs i had. I was a pretty big newb, but never really a noob. -
The reason very few people have been banned? Money. It costs Jagex money to enforce any rule. A rule which the majority of players dislike is unlikely ever to be properly enforced, because it would cost them too much. The only time i drop traded was to my brother - he didnt have access to a computer, so we did the trade from the one PC. Legal, but looks illegal. It is a silly rule, but if your careful no-one will know or even care.

Where does it say General F2P? Anyway, how does it harm anyone if its posted here as well? Thanks for the info about the event - i might not have seen it if it hadnt been posted here

Unless the adverts and the game itself somehow 'talked' to each other? I'm sure they could set something like that up. A bit of code that checked to see if the advert was there on the page should be possible for them, although i believe the advert is in a seperate iframe, which might complicate it. nothing would surprise me though.
