  1. I have no idea what they're talking about up there, but there is no black pick, so it's replaced with steel.
  2. I love Breaking Benjamin. As a matter of fact, I just bought their "Saturate" album today, I had bought it a couple years ago and it came up missing so it *had* to be replaced. :) Every song I've heard by them I've liked. I looked for the album with "So Cold" on it, but the store I was in didn't have a copy. Didn't have the newest album either. :x
  3. Honestly, I really like Limp Bizkit... and it was *people* not *Limp Bizkit* that got Woodstock cancelled. They didn't have to break stuff and cause death and destruction, they ruined their own fun with that. I see absolutely no reason why anyone should be posting if they didn't want to discuss it, they just wanted to say how horrible they think Limp and Korn are and quote people without contributing... I didn't know about the album after Results May Vary, I just assumed they had thrown in the towel, but I might go look into that album. I support Wakka's enjoyment of Limp music. :) I still don't understand the whole Slipknot/Limp Bizkit feud crap, either. To me, that makes absolutely no sense... It'd be lovely to have that one explained.
  4. It's looking like it's going to be getting rougher as it goes along over there, but we can still hold hope that it won't engulf too many countries. About not fighting for your country, I think that's sort of backing out of a duty. Our forefathers shed blood to make and protect this country, so I feel that it's our duty to at least do our best to keep it alive. No one here likes war or killing. It's inevitable, though, that there will always be war. There will always be someone in power that cannot solve their issues diplomatically. Therefore it's our duty to defend our country. Unless, of course, we all go ahead and break our legs, then sit at home while we're over-run and shot for being American... I think I'll keep my legs and at least fight back, if it comes to that.
  5. Another modern composer that is highly regarded is Nobuo Uematsu, the mastermind behind the Final Fantasy music. His music is quite varied and is very entertaining. Some songs you should find interesting are "One-Winged Angel" from the Final Fantasy VII soundtrack, and "Liberi Fatali" from Final Fantasy VIII. There are countless others, but those two truly stick out.

I completely agree, certainly not epic but definitely moving and powerful. As for the S&M album that was mentioned by Uldric, that is certainly an epic. If you want epic songs with no vocals, Metallica has quite a few that are inspiring, such as Orion, Call of Ktulu, and To Live is To Die.
  7. I honestly don't see why all you people thing Metallica are "sell outs" or over-rated... They chose their path, and no one had any right to stop them. St. Anger, maybe they shouldn't have released that one, but Load and Reload, whether ya'll liked them or not, still sold and I liked them.

I define an epic song by one that gives me chills when I hear it... and one that did just that, amazingly enough was Coheed and Cambria's "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3". All of their albums are telling a single huge story, it's quite interesting if you can get into them. :)
  9. Coheed and Cambria - Delirium Trigger
  10. I watched DBZ years ago, I would have to say that my favorite series would be Gundam Wing, though I loved Cowboy Bebop. Blood: The Last Vampire, and Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal take the cake on movies, though.
  11. My all-time favorite would have to fall to Metallica. As of now, I'm listening to a lot of Coheed and Cambria, their lyrics are very poetic and I like the on-going story of the albums.
  12. I have that shirt :D My girlfriend bought it for me...
  13. I really like the one that's black and has iiiiiitty bitty letters on the front that say: "Nosey little cabbage aren't ya?" Quite obviously you have to replace "cabbage" with a word beginning with "s".
  14. There is nothing I can truly say that hasn't been already said. When it all comes down to it, both looks and personality matter for every single person in the world. No human being can be with someone they absolutely hate because of their personatity, even if that person is the most beautiful person they've ever seen. I don't look at women's appearance more than their personality. Obviously, appearance comes first, because you see someone generally before you get to know them. Unless, of course, you meet them online. When it all boils down, men and women are both going to have an easier time in a relationship with someone they find physically attractive. I, for one, have been with my girl for almost two years, now. And I fully expect our relationship to last much much longer. She is absolutely beautiful to me, and I can't imagine someone I would rather have beside me. But even she wouldn't have been with me this long if she didn't have the personality that she has.
  15. Gah, the "gangsta" phase is still in with 45% of our town's population (which is black, mind you). The whites, however, have graduated to ripped-up and worn-out jeans, polo shirts tucked in at the front only, and Steve Madden shoes or whatever else actually matches with their clothing. Amazingly enough, even though most of the people here follow trends, the way they dress really isn't too horrible. Except for the "gangstas" I can stomach the majority of the clothing here. I generally dress in what is comfortable, which happens to almost always be loose-fitting jeans, a white undershirt, unbuttoned overshirt, and flip flops. I'm so relaxed it's almost sinful, and I couldn't care less about whether or not my clothing follows trends, as long as it looks nice and feels good. If it's an "in" thing, so be it, all the better.
  16. No, he means like a site somewhat like eBay, but you buy RS items for RS GP. Only problem is, it wouldn't be that much different from the forums, except maybe a little less confusing and a bit slower-paced.
  17. It's going to be locked because Leesters gets his special protective treatment from TIF staff. They let Durial's 10+ page discussion of his actions go on, but we can't discuss Leesters' actions cause it might offend him. As for why he was banned, I read some of the posts that were "supposedly" the ones that got him banned, but it's not like that attitude hasn't shown in posts before those. I would guess it was just they way he was telling people to get off *his* forum because they sucked. Either that or the truck comment that was previously mentioned.
  18. Arg, too late again. :?
  19. I'll go, I can melee and mage, but my range is lame (63). :D
  20. Heh heh. That's awesome! What kind of wood are you going to use for the "bow" part? This might inspire me to break out my uncles keys to his woodworking shop and work up a Dharok's greataxe! :D
  21. I bought mine by selling chaos runes I got from barrows  Give that one a try, it really doesn't take as long as you'd think. And lucky me, I've got a wacom tablet and the pen tool made selling much easier.
  22. Granted, I seriously doubt live-action roleplay of that kind is inspiring they way they speak of it, that does look immensely fun. :D I figure I'd get a real kick out of beating someone down with a piece of pvc pipe covered with a fun noodle. Heh heh.
  23. I managed to get my IRL girlfriend hooked, and her parents are entirely too strict for their own good, so we don't get to hang out as often as we'd like. Runescape creates a rather interesting way to interact when we're in such situations. We compiled a sort of collage(sp?) for your viewing pleasure. Heh heh. :)
  24. Well, then, I'm posting this here, because I didn't feel like it went in the market section. I could very well be incorrect, if so, please move it. Now, down to business. I've recently become the owner of a lovely little jumble of pixels that identified as an onyx when I pass my cursor over it. Alas, though I have this object, my crafting level falls far short of the glory required to carve and manipulate this stone into a useful item. So, in this time of inadequacy, I ask of my fellow Tip.Iters, who has the levels to craft and enchant my onyx into an Amulet of Fury and is trustworthy enough to be entrusted with this job?
  25. Honestly, cupcake, your arguments are not helping your case any. Also, should you choose to continue this argument, proper spelling of the word "inappropriate" is in order, considering you use it so much, and spell it wrong every time.
