In your day? When was your day? Did it take place in a dream? Rune shops have sold chaos and death ever since I can remember. And 4 mil for a nature staff, as you suggested, is funny. 4 Mil is approximately 13k natures. Once you pass 13k alchs, then youre MAKING 300gp each alch. This would be bringing in even more money to the economy then alching currently is. (Or at least quicker, seeing as you wouldnt have to rc nats) lol sorry, i actually did mean to say 14mil. still though, 13k alcs will take a fair bit of time as it is, how long before you get bored? i didnt spend ages thinking and calculating when i made that post, i made it up as i went along, forgive me, i have better things to do. as for MY day, it was evidentally before your time, im guessing you werent around in the days before you had all these fancy rs2 graphics, and your runecrafting skills (like i clearly said, put some effort into reading before you post). if you were, you'd know the shops only sold like the basic elemental runes, minds and bodies. As for the comment about more money in the economy, it is not neccesarilly a good thing(i got the impression that comment was made in response to something i said?)

Not gold trimmed, either...there is ACTUALLY an armor that is Rune Gold Plated. It's pure gold armor with rune stats. Yes, it's expensive. But if you want to look good, you better be willing to pay lots-o-cash for it. lol lol for real? wow! thats pretty cool, i wouldnt pay for it, but i'd love to see it. guy who said trimmed would look ugly with the cyan colour, i say jagex wont know til they try...:P

on a free server. obviously providing I have the member credit(which i do). Or say if its equipped already, and you change to f2p server, you can still use it? I swear this was possible before rs2(i dunno, i wasnt a member then). And then if you unequip on f2p server you cant re-equip, cos now if i go on f2p server and have to fight, I have to have f2p weapons. I've just thought of what people will counter with, the wilderness, implement some sort of failsafe so that it cant be used on other players, or in the wilderness(like it gets unequipped, or theres a validation check). It's a small thing, but it'd be nice. I know you can already have them equipped for other people to see, but you cant use them, i'd like to be able to.

This has been suggested before, and yes with the other staffs too. They added runecrafting, thats pretty generous, back in my day you had to find all your runes by hand! slaying goblins and what not, you couldnt get any of these fancy pants runes like chaos/nats/deaths and above from any of your little rune shops! Back to the topic at hand, this is a bad idea cos it would slaughter the economy and proper push prices down. they'd have to make staffs/ battlestaffs(maybe they could, make them all battlestaff only or 4mil each, mage level of 70+ or higher to wield, make it for people who just have lots of money, maybe put a total level cap on it too?). But its a bit silly too, the point of the current staffs are that they are elemental, the theory works, kinda. If they did add the staffs, some people would argue they should make them staff craftable, but it wont work anyway so ill stop with that idea(due to current levels etc). Some people make a very decent living off nature crafting, a staff would hurt alot of them who use it for income.

dammit you're all agist bastards! you let the old man steal, why not me?? i mean, he's OLD. no, seriously, i can see where this guys coming from on the idea, and its a nice fresh source of stuff to steal. make it really complex and stuff and it could be done, but jagex wont, because its quite unfeasible and too much effort. done properly i think it would be good, but it'd be hard to achieve, so its a bit of a silly idea. what they COULD do, is that all/any NPC or maybe attackable npcs are theivable, and you get an item corresponding to their drops, higher thieving leads to a better drop, but still rares stay very rare. Could be limited to one thief per monster(i'e you're in a fight, you theif a monster, you cant thief it again til you kill it and fight a fresh one). Or do something silly like only being able to thief from monster once every 10 min. i dunno, this idea didnt even exist 5 minutes ago! i havent thought it through! aaaaaaaaagggggghhhhhhh

Idea for update, right click to bury bones
Junkieman replied to my_pet_worm's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
j00 quit? fr33 st00f pl0x! at first, i was opposed to this idea. until yesterday, when i was slaying giants, and had to keep dropping stuff to make space for bones to then bury and pick my stuff up again. So, put half my name on the list, cos im still slightly opposed. ...what the hell, put my full damn name on the list! jagex never listen anyway... Junkieman608. -
i dont like rune gold trimmed either, im quite fussy. they do look pretty sweet, but they'd look better in cyan! deep down, i really want them, but i dont wanna pay loads for full rune(g), ive barely got 2mil, and im trying to save for a whip :s. i hope prices dont fall right after i buy.
-
yeah, sligo's right. I dont think its a sensible idea, its a good idea, but not too sensible for the game after how its all gone so far.
-
i like the idea cos im slowly running out of bank space, but not keen to drop my randoms(dunno why, i barely wear them). Now i think about it, i actually HAVE run out of bank space.

just have some fun with the halloween event
Junkieman replied to barnabis's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
im in total agreement barnabis, i thought the halloween thing was quite cool(im p2p). To all you whiners, you suck! -
i *think* he might have meant for it to be limited by the combat level? For example, for you to have a combat level of 10, you need a minimum skill total of 100. but i might be wrong. or he meant for a total level of 100, you need to have at least a combat of 10. either that or he's just weird, the 'or higher' bit sways me to thinking hes talking about limits of some sort.
-
i think an examine would be good, a bit like a personal message you can change when you like, of course jagex are gonna need to regulate it. At first i thought it'd take up lots of space as well, but say its limited to 100 characters(as in letters, digits, etc) each, it may well add up to alot of space. Maybe it should only be done for members, so people can see who are members as well, or maybe they should do away with farming and use the space for this. and give ppl player houses, even tho i dont really want one. meh, ive gone off topic.

i went down there the other day to play anybody. i saw two dutch(i think?) ppl playing checkers, watched them for a while, went and sat in the connect 4 room, then got bored and went to catherby for another useless feature, A FISH.
-
no, it doesnt change anything BUT appearance. Trimmed Rune is crappy, i want back the cyan rune armour, and I'd never get bored of its colour, i used to love its colour. It was greatness. They could make some gold armour for some crazy quest of something, where you need to be super heavy(ive just done between a rock, and you get this cool gold helmet), that'd look sweet, but be a bit useless if you were trying to run.

i like the way people seem to be insisting so much that they DONT do multiple log ins/drop trades, even though they're incredibly fluent in the knowledge of how. As for this, it'll just cause far too many problems if bandits idea was implemented, as menitoned by other people already. i probably shouldnt have posted here, im not really helping this topic die.

i love it when noobs beg, so ill offer them loads of stuff, then accept, but deline at the second confirmation screen, and laugh, hahahaha!(alot like that). You need to be careful you dont actually accidentally give them all your stuff though.

i too feel like the fishing guild is a bit uesless, basically the bank to fishing spot distance is fairly similar to catherby, only the range in catherby is actually closer to the bank. fishing guild needs to be re-thought out IMO, put the range much closer to the bank, otherwise why not just go catherby?(alot of ppl in catherby say they prefer it to the guild too)
-
lol, that last bit is soo true. i got into the habit of playing loads recently, but its cos im paying, and i want my moneys worth! i might take next month off though, and possibly the one after too. uni is important.

back to its older colour, with a brighter, cyan like glowy tiny! People from way back in the day, and who play classic, will know what I'm talking about. I much preferred that colour, cos it was also alot more distinguishable from mith too. All those in favour say aye, if not, just go flame the hell out of me if you're thinking of it.

"from autoer community", "evident on server 3", dude *.... um..what?

If I just look at the tip.it website without delving deep into this thread, it gives the opposite impression. IMHO tip.it needs to take responsibility for anything posted on the tip.it website. ... I can understand that tip.it is not the author when it specifically says it's by Duke Freedom or some other person, but "The Editor" sounds very much as though it's someone who's a staff member and therefore as a staff member their comments reflect on the staff. Just my $0.02 Admittedly, they should state that the views of the articles are not representative of any of the tip.it staff or the site official view at the bottom or somewhere on the same page as the tip.it times article, just like jagex does with their letters pages.

hell, i dont get why people complain about sites offering quest guides. None of them slap you in the face with the guide and force you to use it, and you're not losing anything if other people use the guide, cos you're all presented with the same oppurtunities and rewards from the quests. this is what im talking about. everybody does have the chance to try the quest the proper way! NOBODY is forcing you to use the quest guide, if you dont like them, dont use them. sorted.

I totally support the views of this article. I think Jagex are starting to lose sight of their original aims. Something else thats really annoying me is they sometimes make promises, to keep people interested in the game. Examples being 'Behind The Scenes', wheres the long awaited player houses? And also, this one really really annoys me at the moment, WHAT THE HELL ARE BIRD EGGS FOR?!?! IVE GOT 2 SITTING IN MY BANK FROM SINCE THEY CAME ABOUT, BUT WHAT THE HELL DO THEY DO?? I dont appreciate such commercial tactics, to try and keep their players interested with promises, and frankly, i find it offensive.

What Did You Do On Your First Day On Runescape?
Junkieman replied to Sir_Gladius's topic in General Discussion
hell, my first day was sometime in december 2002, and i cant remember exactly what i did. i remember them graphics tho, i remember it all, even tho slightly hazily. i think i attacked rats and stuff, cooked meats, died alot. kept walking around in circles in the castle. then collected lots of iron daggers from the goblin hut and sold them to the general store. man, thems was the days. i miss classic :(.
