Has anyone completed the ancient pages task in the barbarian training yet? I am in the process now of trying myself. What interesting clues will these pages hold?

No chickens are made of flesh and bones. Your saying because chickens drop a 5gp item stacked they should drop notes of items that can be sold for a heck of alot. NO just no. Seems like an rsof recommendation because its such a poor idea. How can you add this and make dragons balanced? So there goes this theory of they shouldn't drop the notes because they are made of metal. You may also note that they drop 3 noted steel bars , and also noted silver bars. SO why not dragons too?

There is a HUGE difference in complaining that something doesn't work or fit in and the immature things that people have done to "complain" about what has been done. And those changes I listed were NOT for the better in the opinion of many people. But we dealt with it as I stated before. Think before you post please. for example: The recent dueling changes people sat in Falador right where you teleport to "picketing". Picketing on a game that they want thier precious dueling back. I mean come on ... that is not the kind of things Jagex wants people to do to get things fixed. If anything more people were muted and banned during that little event than anything else. I hate to actually disappoint you in this quote but there would be a ton more people who have quit and never looked back since the change from classic to rs2. I also don't think you understand the multitude of players on private classic servers out there who in fact loved classic more than todays runescape. Look how many people make posts about bringing classic back on a daily basis on the forums here , and on RSOF. Sorry but therewould be alot more people playing than you think.

first off I would like to say STOP whining. :shame: second I would like to say yes there have been some recent changes that impact alot of people who see things as "fun". But it is something we are all going to have to deal with. As many of us have before.Complaining is just showing people how immature you really are about things. Examples of the HUGE changes that Jagex has made to "accomodate" complainers. 1) change to the pk anywhere. Alot of us LOVED this idea. Someone annoyed you while training you kill them . Nice and simple. people complained it's gone. 2) good/evil magic the fear spell was a great thing in it's day. Allowed people to play the "evil" role a bit more than what you can today. people complained , it's gone. 3) dueling anywhere great thing it was in it's time. then people complained "OMG it is such a long walk from Lumby to anywhere there is a bank" And so became dueling in the arena. 4) a little more recent dueling change staking caps. People say in the arena and did nothing but duel all day to make money and items. YAY what a great thing. But that is not what Jagex meant Runescape to be was a dueling based game. If they had wanted that it woulda been Mortal CombatScape not RuneScape. Items and money are meant to be worked for and not sitting there in an arena seeing who is more lucky with thier hits. 5) Grand exchange A method of trading without having to sit there in a bank and shouting "I am selling my unwanted junk , please buy it" Again this merchanting is one way people are sitting on all these items and money they really did nothing to work for. And again not the intention of Jagex point of the game. If they had meant for this to be the basis of the game it woulda been more like the stock exchange.( not very interesting IMHO ) And yet again people are going to have to kick back and work at something for once use the skills implimented in the game to use. So all in all they are pushing things in the direction they wanted it to go in the first place. Had people actually played "by the rules" and not done the RWT or scammed or complained when their best friend Billy stole their party hat these things would not be set into motion. I myself have played since almost the very beginning of the game and never staked once , never sat in a bank for hours on end shouting for someone to buy my junk. I went out and used the skills I gained while playing to make my money and gain the items the way they were intended to be. Stop complaining and let things be there will always be a change coming and we are going to have to deal with it as we have in the past. Just the 2 cents of an old player :P

So you honestly think they decided to not include a single Mind Rune in there? you will also notice there is no chaos rune there , nor lava , or mist , many runes missing there isn't there?

the mind rune also has 8 rays on it. and the 2 lines in the middle. every rune on there is an exact copy of the rune it is supposed to represent. except that 1 ... why is that? if it was meant to be a mind rune then they could have drawn all 8 rays into it. who knows they may be changing the life rune , noone will know till it comes out. that picture of the life rune was posted from what it was going to look like on classic.

take a look at the mind rune. in the middle of the mind rune there is actually 2 dots. is there 2 dots on the one in the puzzle ? NO

if you think about it , the runes on the list also can be the spells as I said earlier. What would you need for "summoning"? Life runes , "soul" runes (for living animals ) , and death runes ( undead summons ). I don't think Jagex would just give away a simple solution as solving a sodoku as a clue. Look deeper than the simplicity.

ok a few things here are being looked too far into. the sodoku is being looked into WAY too much ... the runes listed there are the combinations to the spells for summoning. Look at my avatar. That is the life rune posted on RS site. .... ALSO the lottery ticket ... read it very carefully. it says "exp. jackpot inc. (picture of a magic hat) jewels , gp , gold items" experience jackpot including ( whatever the hat means ) gems , money and maybe jewelry ?

hate to tell ya here but your misinformed. A friend of mine was the very first PB and has been credited with that for a very long time now. Some of the older people here may remeber him . McTavish I know reviving an old post , but gotta give credit to who it belongs to.

now you see this is where the detection comes in. The system takes notice of a lvl 3 or even a lvl 50 selling 100 yew logs , they have a record of it and can look into it a little deeper. Where did this person who can't cut yew logs get them from? lvl 3 WC billy got 5k yew logs from lvl 90 WC bob , now bob is already selling 3k yew logs , why is he giving billy those logs to sell? Hmm look into it ... BUSTED both accounts gone

This is actually a better way for them to find out who is doing this "gold farming". People would normally post on a forum and say "Hey I am selling 10k gold ore" and there is no way to really grab who it is and stop it. They post here on one name , and when a person wants to buy they give them another name that has the items. Which will force them to stop autoing and go make a sale. now they will put the ores into the GE and with such high ammounts Jagex can look into the situation further. I am sure they have some type of notice system in effect if too much of 1 item goes into the GE.

Ok your saying the bars gained from this are worth very little? here is a little scenario. I am very big on slayer and love the metal dragon tasks. I am in the middle of one as I type this.(gotta love afk). My task is 27 iron dragons. I don't know about you but I tend to kill till I am out of food or pots. So lets just put it at 50 dragons. I did this chart from the smithing tables on Tip It. From the 50 iron dragons I just killed and smithed the bars they dropped that would be a gain of 6250 exp. That normally would have been left on the ground. And an alch price of 16800. I now that doesn't seem much but add that gold to the gold they drop and the other items your going to alch and total it. So far in my 1 lvl of slayer I have had a total of 14 steel , 67 iron , 32 bronze dragons in 5 tasks. Now just saying 50 per trip. Totals if I have smithed and alched nothing but the bars they dropped is. 28,125 exp 103,200 And this is only about a third of my 1 slayer lvl so far. Who knows how many more metal dragons I will get.[/img]
